Kid suspended for asking Miss America to the prom

But before I get into the article, seriously, she is Miss America? There are prettier Indian girls than that. I think she is Indian. Not meant to race troll, I think there are pretty Indian girls, she just ain't. Nice arms [Image: lol.gif]

Anyway, here is the story below and a youtube clip. Ridiculous. Fuck soon, kids won't be able to do anything. I mean men/boys. I bet if some girl asked Justin Beiber to the prom it would be encouraged.

Quote:Quote:

Miss America has suggested officials at a Pennsylvania high school reconsider their decision to suspend a student for approaching her at a school assembly and asking her to be his prom date, the beauty queen said on Saturday.

The disciplinary action taken by school administrators in York against the 18-year-old senior made national headlines, and generated sympathy for the young man on social media.

A video of Central York High School senior Patrick Farves approaching 2014 Miss America Nina Davuluri on Thursday at a school assembly was posted on a local newspaper's website.

It shows Farves walking up to Davuluri bearing a plastic flower and ask her to his prom, as the crowd of students erupts in laughter and cheers.

She gets a lot of flack, but I still would bang her into the ground. I think she's cute, she is no 9 but I wouldn't feel slighted having her in my bed or out for a nite on the town one bit.

Miss America/Universe isn't about pumping out 9s and '10s' it's just a good average metric to gage cute girls and hotties. Some riff raff get some years, but usually no girls are below a 7, most are always 7-9s. It's a good way to gauge some countries to see if they can pump out consistent hotties year after year.

I know, I understand Miss America is about her other qualities beyond physical beauty, but I am thinking with the other head.

How was this young beta to know he should've confined himself to the iPhone addicted fatties that populate his school, rather than have the temerity to follow his manhood and ask out an actually desirable woman?

Wasn't there some girl who became a media darling for asking a male celebrity to the prom? Now this kid gets suspended? Eh, same as it ever was.

If you are a male, you have the right to shut up, and slave away for the heroic single moms.

If you have any other desire, you should be punished.

It is quite a clear message.

How is he a beta?

He approached Miss America at the age of 18. Sounds like a legit player in the making.

He looks like a Latino Wiz Khalifa. He can barely keep his eyes open.

Also, after hearing all the girls cheering him "breaking the rules," "being anti-establishment," etc. He's probably more alpha than beta in standing at that school.

I didn't mean it in a derogatory way---beta in the sense that he's a young guy at a vulnerable stage in his development. That's all.

Guy definitely has a ton of potential if he can escape this mess with his masculine self-interest intact.

It's not even that. That stuff all seems like bullshit when they are being judged. It's making it to that final round though where they need it. Plus, It's the type of girls that gravitate towards these pageants. Some are failed models or dancers, but most if not all are upper class girls whom have done some of the circuit. The pure 9s of the upper class are to full of them selves to have do the dumb shit like required "community duty" hours and other fluff the girls need to pad their resumes with. You generally find North-East, private school, upper class broads in these that were doing all that extra stuff to begin with for school and society reasons.

When I LTR'd a pageant broad she volunteered teaching dance and at a old folks home to pad the resume. Shit like that. Most top shelf broads are too "above that".

Just watched the vid. He gave her a plastic flower and asked to get a selfie with her. Okay that's pretty lame. That's orbiter behavior. Also his proposal for her to come to the prom with him in front of a crowded auditorium is akin to a painful megatron marriage proposal in that it puts her on the spot.

Props for making a move, but he needs a few months of RVF-prescribed lifestyle advice to hone his game.

Also, there is something REALLY un-sexy about this Miss America. I actually have a hardon for Bollywood actresses but there's something very masculine about this chick's build. She also looks older than 25.

I don't understand the big displays for prom date proposals.

The flowers, the public attention, the chocolates..

Just get her one on one, and ask her to prom, with a tone of voice that states it would be cool if a yes but no big deal if its a no. If she likes you she will say yes. If not she will try to politely say no where you can just say its cool if it's a no.

She will be much more comfortable, you aren't pedestalizing her and making a big deal about it, and she will respect you more..

Harmless prank, no need for a freakin' suspension.

From the story: "While he has scores of new Twitter followers and Facebook friend requests, Farves said he remains without a date for his school's May 10 prom."

He has also apologized for taking the focus of the event away from Ms. America's "diversity" message and says he feels bad for disrupting an event the school worked so hard to plan.

The blue-pill police got to him pretty quick.

Amrita Rao is actually really hot, even in her movies. She also has a husky voice that is pretty sexy...plus she gives off a girl next door type of vibe.

WB repeatedly.

Also has a younger 25 year old sister...

Doesn't matter. He wins.

How many high school achievements follow you through life?

Does being the star quarterback or shooting the winning basket at the big game going to be something people recognize you for later in life? Are you going to immediately be popular when you enrol in college because of the hilarious prank you pulled on your English teacher senior year?

Nope.

Is being the kid who asked out Miss America going to score you points for the next decade?

Absolutely.

Sure, people aren't going to recognize you in public, but you've got a great story that is immediately going to give you some very desirable DHV any time it "comes up naturally" in conversation.

So he interrupted some kind of even the school had planned with the Miss America? I can understand the administrators getting pissed, but suspension is way too far.

Don't disagree with you at all. My only points were 2:

1. Surprised he remains without a date for prom after his move (maybe this is by choice - if so bravo); and

2. Disappointed he is cow-towing to the PC police when his actions were harmless. Although he might have had to suck it up and do this to avoid an even larger suspension.

Another thing that strikes me, it says in the story that the school attempted to talk him out of it when they got wind it might happen. He said it was too late at that point and he was "in the zone". While I applaud him for not caving to the school, it proves the axiom about loose lips. If he'd kept it tighter he might not be facing a suspension at all.

Yep, but what other chance was he going to get? They don't live in the same city, don't have the same social circles... This dude had one chance and he went for it even if it didn't work out. Good on him.
