I should clarify by saying when language barrier and societal pressures are controlled for, Asian girls do have a strong preference for white guys. The OKcupid stats I assume are largely of North American participants.

When I lived in Japan it was much more polarized, kind of like a reverse bell curve. Girls either were really interested or they wanted no part in even entertaining the idea of a foreign boyfriend. Japan is a rich country so J-girls are usually "marrying down". Going to poorer Asian countries will obviously raise your status significantly.

I don't think you are really removing social pressure though. North America is still largely white-dominated so it's not surprising that Asian girls raised in the US would prefer white guys. It's just social pressure in a different form.

I want to explain this phenomenon once and for all.

Asians who want to date each other meet exclusively through social circles, because their sense of community is typically stronger than that of whites, and they meet more quality candidates that way.

Asians who do online dating (in anglosphere countries, largely) are there to specifically *date out* of their ethnicity (more so the women than the men, because the latter aren't choosers). And by dating out, I mean dating whites, mostly. The online dating stats are heavily skewed because of this self-selected demographic.

I'll leave the beta comment alone as everyone else is already all over that, but it's a qualitative thing, Matt. Think about it this way - there are a lot of guys who actively dislike Asian women, often to an extreme. If something is vehemently dislikable, then it's a polarizing thing. By being polarizing, it's often either loved or disliked, and the polarization also means the feeling will be strong either way.

On a related note, I used to work for this chick in a restaurant who was always dating black guys. Maybe there were a couple other races thrown in but she showed a strong, obvious preference for black pete.

One time the subject somehow came up whether I'd ever dated a black chick. When I said I didn't find them attractive, I was accused of being racist.

I pointed out that she was a hypocrite. If I'm racist for finding a black woman unattractive, then she's just as a racist for preferring them. If something is likable, it is unlikable, and vice versa.

It's the same thing with Asians. You either like what makes them stand out or it turns you off.

The majority do not. At least in Asian countries. As someone else mentioned, it's a very eager minority that has the white fever. In majority-white societies, results may differ.

Nothing frustrates me more than seeing the knockout, drop-dead gorgeous Asians who display zero interest in me. Probably because these are the hottest, most put-together women in these countries. Many of them really do strike me as completely unattainable to any outsider.

I guess there are enough gorgeous ones who do that everyone can find their satisfaction though. Even in these places, you only get that love in certain areas. For instance, the night before last I went to a fancy restaurant on the top of this skyscraper. I can sort of understand the turn-off some may have with Asian girls. I used to have the same one myself, despite the fact that I'm also Asian. It really depends on the demographics you run into.

In my younger years, I'm around the high achieving academic type mostly. They're a mix of international FOB students and local UMC ones, whose parents live vicariously through their academic pursuits. Those girls are mostly mousy, look like 12 y.o with no tits & arse (I'm an arse man, don't need big arse, but round & bubbly are a must), act like 12 y.o with their hello kitty demeanor. I found them asexual and was indifferent to them. They didn't even register on my radar as sexual beings.

The other type of Asians I'd run into back then was children of boat people. Those folks have plenty of courage and work ethics, but not very attractive genetics, coming from the lower class in their mother countries.

In recent years, I've run into different types of Asians. The first are international students who are children of filthy rich parents, who come to study here not really for any serious academic degree, but to have fun, travel and one up others in their social circle back home. Those girls aren't bogged down by serious studies, and take much better care of their appearances. They often have attractive mothers since their daddies are filthy rich, and inherit their looks. I dated one of those from China who studies physiology and arts. Her biggest concern is not to get top marks, but to get a nicer arse (which I helped, I'm knowledgeable in that regard lol). Model good looks, killer legs, sweet girl

The second are Asian Australians like me, who are sick of following their parents' dreams and just want to do their own things. They have bucketloads of daddy issues, but they are more sexual and take good care of their appearances so become more attractive. The third are Asians in their homelands whom I meet in my sporadic travels to Asia. You see all types, not all are beautiful, but I see girls here & there that make both my heart and penis jump for joy. They don't look 12, they look more like jailbait white girls except that they're older and legal lol

So yeah, your taste can change a lot when you run into more women outside your comfort zone. I'm just back from my run in the park here in Bangkok and I assure you that there were plenty of hips and ass to look at as I plowed forward with all these hotties in tight running outfits and booty shorts. Only someone who hasn't seen asian girls in tight clothes could think they have no curves. The average Thai girls is like 155 cm and 50 kg. Naturally she is going to look less curvy on an absolute scale, but in proportion to their size they are plenty round in the right places. You can't compare the two. And when you combine the fact that Asian women outnumber white men nearly 2:1 (look at world population), it's easy to see why any white guy who goes to Asia gets a girlfriend so quickly.

Aside from tourist infested shitholes like BKK, or military zones in Seoul, white guys are extremely exotic in most parts of Asia. Thus it's just supply and demand. Tons of demand for white men relative to the amount of Asian women in Asia.

Conversely, it's much harder to get an Asian woman in America because Asian women have a much higher supply of white guys to choose from.

But the fact white guys go to Asia in the first place is pretty much all one needs to know. If it wasn't a pussy paradise no one would be going. Men certainly do not go to make money or learn Chinese.

As for the sterotype that betas go for Asian women; absolutely true. However, these betas aren't getting the hot Asian women. Also, it's good that these guys find someone.
