Classic style with modern touch - Fossil has some automatic watches as of recently, they are all quite classic in style. Mechanic looks as well.

http://www.fossil.com/webapp/wcs/stores/...Mechanical

It's an entry level brand, tho i see they introduced some swiss made models.

I picked one of these up in Chinatown in Manila for about $30.

I looked briefly on the internet and although I saw them for sale last year, I cannot find them anymore now. Here is a similar one.

EDIT: you should probably not buy anything from that website.

Since this is a game forum, i have to ask:
What is the purpose of the watch?
Do you want something good or something that draws attention?

Stuhrling makes good looking watches, but they all have chinese movements (nothing fancy, and sometimes quite troublesome). I have this one
[Image: B0049DTVK4_171B.3315K77_photo1.jpg]
The watch runs well enough and keeps accurate time, the power reserve lasts for about 36-48hours. However the quick set date does not work.

Those skeleton watches draw A LOT of attention, however I would not call them dressy/classy. In my opinion they tend more for the Jersey Shore crowd.

If you want something that also fits the "good" category and, for that price range, stay away from automatic watches. You would be going into the entry level. 300$ will give you a great quartz watch.
Since you're a muscular guy (no homo) perhaps a diver watch (seiko for example) would fit you best. Some of them have both class and a hint of adventure.
Brown and rose gold would compliment your skin color, but i dont think it will make the watch stand out. It will seem natural.

I am also a fan of aviator style watches and bought this a few years ago for about 300.

I have never changed the battery and the watch is really good, both looks and quality. You can buy it on creationwatches for 160€ shipping included.

I would check Seikos, Casios and Citizens first. They are good and reliable watches, and you can get anything from Quartz to solar powered radio watches. Whatever you decide to buy, just don't spend your money on a fake.

- Display of wealth, responsibility, individuality
- Fashion item
- Sort of an investment, as well as potential heritage to be passed to next generation, by which time they can increase in value
- Some people are passionate about sophisticated mechanisms/pursue of precision and accuracy.

Besides, when you see a guy of average income with expensive watch on his hand, there is one thing you can tell for sure - he ain't married and he has no kids. Player tell sign ftw.

I bought a wind up 1962 Omega seamaster for 400$ on ebay (over budget i know). There are other older watches and all are still working.

I need to get mine cleaned and oiled. Very reliable and looks good. Not to mention all watch repair shops can fix it.

How about not your run of the mill souvenir from Poland? These watches in tough military style are, apart from movements, wholly designed and produced in small manufacture in Poland. Doomed sapphire glass, AAA class Sea-Gull automatic movement with hacking and hand-winding, 100m water resistance, limited number of every series, history behind every watch, etc Price: around $300 depending on the model. They get positive reviews on watchuseek forum and I'm thinking of getting pilot one from the first photo.

At that price range, I'd go for a Hamilton Khaki. I like the rugged look and you don't see too many out there. Plus it's the anti bling watch: quite, conservative, modest.

These Szanto watches are pretty cool, I just bought the 1005 model and swapped out the band for a leather one, its pretty snazzy. Its a good spin on the more expensive Bell and Ross line thats way way way overpriced for what it is.

http://www.azfinetime.com/szanto-watches/ check it out, dawg

Analog watches will always look more sophisticated and classy than digital ones, but digital one will always be more technologically advanced and have better features. That's why I decided the best way to go is to have a little of both, and get a modern analog one, with a small digital screen inset to give you the cool digital functions.
After looking at all the brands, I discovered you will never beat a Casio in that type of watch. I know a lot of people think of Casio as making only cheap crap, but they have some amazing features and very expensive watches too. Look at their Japanese site and you will drool over some of their stuff. They even have g-force resistant watches now made for fighter pilots. They have watches for everyone's budget, and if you compare what they have to other brands for the same price, the Casio almost always wins.

I got this one for myself for $85, but it looks way more expensive. Has Solar power so you will never have to replace the battery and atomic time that syncs the time daily so the time is perfect:

If I wanted a more sophisticated version of it with a leather strap I would get this one:

Have a look at all their waveceptor line here, I'm sure they have something for everyone's budget and taste:

Too many similar watches and copies around. Some brands even have at least 4 models that are almost the same. Too few watches with small frame diameters. Whenever i see a small frame watch, and say "yay" i immediately see "ladies model". Fuck that. Male watch does not have to scream, "yeah look at my awesome dial, look how big this thing is, it cost so much and i feel so horny, let'ts bang you with my watch on, everyone, look at my class on display, yay".

Like, 38 frame is super low nowadays. I saw a sturmanskie with quite small frame, 32 or 34 i think, but i want to get something else, before i buy a Rooskie watch. Russian watches should be exotic in a collection.

Tho i did try Jacques Lemans automatic cheapskate watch, stood around 400 dollars, with 38 frame. Was quite small actually, very neat looking when dressed up. Now i definitely know i won't be buying a 44 that i liked in the picture online.

Lolled, but a small dial looks stupid and feminine on an even moderately large guy.

I do think a lot of the chain, Tag Heuer, Omega, Rolexes, have taken a bit of a hit in reputation in the last decades in Europe, due to being the easily understandable status symbol watch for drug dealer gangs. You know the type, a BMW, huge gold chain, Omega Seamaster watch and tight fitting t-shirt.

The chain watch in some circles have a certain thug reputation now.

Lots of cool watches here though, I am undecided between chain and leather. I like the Tissot watched for the price.
