Thing is, if they had a really good method to make THOUSANDS every month they wouldn't sell it for $97.

Why wouldn't they?

Sometimes they will.
I have a friend making good money his in his niche who's created a membership site based on his marketing methods. I know he's been making good money of it.

Doesn't make sense to me, but he thinks there's a lot of money in being an industry "leader"/"guru". Might be true.

Cool for me because I"m learning his methods which are helping my business.

However it is true 99 percent of internet marketing products are BS. Especially on WaFo.

As for Eben Pagan, he made tons of Double Your Dating and I"ve only heard good things about "Wake Up Productive". You can't deny there's a lot to learn from him. I can promise guys like Christian McQueen have studied his methods/maybe even bought his products.

Membership sites are definitely a good way to make bank.

When I made my comment about selling something I'm talking about the one time pay deals. Makes no sense to sell something to the masses only to give yourself more competition for a one time payout when the smart thing is to scale up.

Of course if it's just repackaged crap it's a different story, and that is what you generally find on warrior forum.

The people that go for that type of products deserve to be scammed, imo. They are looking for easy quick cash and not building something long term. I have no sympathy for them. I wouldn't be interested in that type of stuff.

I have purchased stuff that was a one time deal that helped a ton. Mainly stuff about conversions or how people where lowering their quality scores on adwords. Those types of products can be used in any niche so competition is meaningless.

The Wafo is all about that that easy, quick crap now. The blame goes to the buyers as well since there wouldn't be a market for it if it wasn't for lazy ass people. There was a time that place was pretty good. I tested out a lot of products there, back in the day, and a few of my main product line came from those tests.

I can't imagine there is any more money in the guru bullshit as there is in just running a scalable business. It sounds more ego talking to me and that is ok if that is why he is doing it. No need to make up excuses.

From reading about the Ryan Eagle flameout it is amazing how many guys will buy into the guru/leader/flamboyant shit. Some people are just drawn to it like a moth to flame and they don't take a step back to think about it.

Someone might as well market to that crowd.

I met with some so-called "big names" and learned the IM hustle.

It's not how I would live my life.

I'm actually going to write up what I learned.

Back when I was in real estate, I came up with a software program that was one of a kind at the time. I loved real estate but knew the power of being able to create a product and sell it to a good size market. There was much more money because you could scale it.

I talked with quite a few "gurus" and at that time their main selling avenue was seminars. We were talking about private labeling my program and have them sell it for a percentage. Basically a licensing deal. Man, they pulled down a lot of money in those seminars. One guru had hired a couple of people just to go and sell at those seminars.

These guys were making more money selling the info than doing the real estate. I don't have a problem with that as long as the info does what they say it will do.

People have no problem purchasing 2k products and never opening them. I call it the lottery syndrome. They just want to feel like they are making a change and purchasing stuff makes them feel they started even if they never read it.

There is a ton of money to be made selling to those people. I have always been the type of person that loves to make stuff. I prefer quality stuff so that type of business never appealed to me.

I still think making a business where people actually use the product is much easier than hustling all the time.

THE COMMON DENOMINATOR IS THAT THEY'VE ALL BUILT A HIGH-NET WORTH NETWORK. I'm constantly seeing some of the same millionaires at industry conferences... constantly networking, brokering deals with one another, starting partnerships, etc.

Frank Kern is going to end up in jail and his assets seized and so will many of his buddies. Did you actually read the Scamworld article?

These guys are crooks who buy leads from boiler room type agencies then hound clueless people out of every nickle they have, while their 'victims' in a fake it till you make it misperception post online about how great this or that program is.

Warrior Forum is full of these people, writing cliche after cliche about taking action and building relationships and what not, and almost all of them are perpetually broke.

Yeah, I read the article. Here is Frank Kern's response:

That is a great analogy.

A lot of internet marketers make a lot of money teaching people how they can make a little bit of money.

PUAs *can* make a lot of money teaching guys who can't get any pussy, how they can get just a little bit of pussy.

Regardless of how most people feel, Wake Up Productive and Self Made Wealth are both good courses. Whether or not that value exceeded the launch price is a different question, but Wake Up Productive definitely helped me out when I was getting started and Altitude has a ton of great information you can still use in your business, to date (it's a bit long though). I don't mind learning information from that guy....much easier to pay attention to than a lot of other people I've purchases courses from.

I ended up on the David D mailing list yeeeears ago and it's kind of what get me into self improvement, entrepreneurship, and by proxy, this forum.

It also looks like he recently took a bunch of clips from different courses and added them to his YT channel. Some decent tips in there.

Eben Pagan's course "Get Altitude" is an incredible business education. I've watched it several times and have applied several of the ideas in it to my online businesses.

How much money did this education directly put in my pocket? Who can say.

But as somebody who's run both consulting and proper online businesses and has worked for startups and successful, large eCommerce shops, I can verify that most of the information he presents (at least in that particular course) jives with how things work in the real world.

Another thing is that Eben brings in a ton of very excellent speakers who round out the perspective. One speaker he had on Altitude convinced me to systematically implement upsells in my business. And that definitely did raise revenue for info products.

The latest course he's launched is called "Accelerate" and if I'm not mistaken it's for well established, profitable businesses looking to take it to the next level, not for newbies.

I've never met the guy but my overall feeling is that Eben's business advice is mostly legit. As for the dating stuff, he has some good ideas and interesting featured speakers but I couldn't say I agree with everything wholeheartedly.
