McQueen does seem to have some connections, so perhaps that is where the major media interest came from.

Just spitballing a counterpoint to the above. It may not be a conspiracy.

^ Understood. That's why I mentioned that what seems like conspiracy could equally be explained by incompetence. It's a coin toss.

Fuck yeah, I've just seen this.

Cause loads of controversy. Controversy means you'll get picked again and again for TV shows.

Nice one mate.

The Paranoid Thinking:

Darker Scenario:

- "This Red Pill thing is A Thing, isn't it? Can we do something on that?" Expect to get mocked.

Worst Case Scenario:

- ROK has pissed off a lot of people in the last 12 months. Mainly low-resilient upper-middle-class women, who basically are the female population at university, and are the pool from which journalism and communications are drawn. Women are ultra-competitive, and 'punishing' one of us would be a huge notch in their belt. I see that as a bigger story.

In this scenario, it's an 'ambush', and the story is about the 'dark undercurrent of misogyny and bullying rife on the internet'. Words from your articles will be thrown back at you - expect them to pick on the sexual degradation. Prepare for this possible angle beforehand so you aren't visibly flustered. Think about the most likely ambush questions given ROK and your history writing for them so you know exactly what to say. You will need to be the most charming motherfucker alive.

I'm really thinking these are the likely outcomes in terms of what ABC will be coming at McQueen with. I mean come on they are a mainstream liberal news outlet that probably 95% of the the employees there are either Feminist-leaning women and/or 'white knight' politically correct male types. I'd expect a hatchet-job and go from there. Even if they were willing to give him the benefit of the doubt I think the 'controversy' comes more from them once again painting women as victims and men as the oppressor jerks who are taking advances of these chaste princesses (which is a joke, but plays well right?). So I have to think they will follow the general line of "look at these party guys living it up, taking advantage of women, how can they get away with this in this day and age', why can't they commit" etc.

Maybe I'm wrong but I'd prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

Thought: Isn't there some way McQueen could do a 'dry run' of sorts, maybe with some guys on the forum who come up with a list of the toughest questions imaginable and try to put him 'on the spot'? Maybe even do a live dry run - I think some kind of rehearsal is necessary right? I'd imagine that the format will be a lot different than the radio show with Dagonet and that might be a little tricky at first as he'll be on the other end of the questions (as opposed to setting the agenda and asking them mostly).

Also, can ABC provide a rough outline of the whole interview and topics to be discussed (so you don't get totally blindsided with some loaded crazy questions like 'do you think you promote rape culture', etc. (which I'm sure they are dying to do))?

Of course, Mcqueen should ask for a list of interview questions prior. I also would ask the journalist what the official spin on this story (cite the other ABC hit piece). They'll lie, but it's best to let them know we're not stupid.

They painted the tea party as a bunch of idiots. Don't let them paint us the same way.

I think i will take in the episode down in Tampa bay at El mec's place

I think that if McQueen frames what we are doing as an inclusive, trying to get back to nature, Rouseau kind of thing, instead of us versus "the feminists", then non redpill people might take it more seriously.

It's not just about guys.. Redpill is about men and women as individuals getting in touch with their true natures.. It's about respecting nature and each other, and deep empathy, and recognizing the truths of our existence, no matter how unsettling those truths might be.

It's about finding yourself. That's what the alpha playboy and all the game manuals are pointing towards.

He could respond with a list of things Intelligent, University-Educated, Women-With-Careers have said to him, i.e. "I want your cum on my face!", "Strangle me" etc, then ask why they're trying to slut-shame strong, empowered women who are owning their sexuality? Use their language against them.

Seriously, if the MSM ever actually started talking about how fucked up the average young woman now is in relation to sex, they'd realise women are doing the degrading to themselves. I've kind of accepted that, despite all their outwards bluster, sex is where you see how women really feel about themselves. I find it depressing a lot of the time.

@AB:

The ebook version is vastly more popular than the paperback, but I provided the paperback of TAP as an option. Hell, I don't even buy paperback anymore, all digital books.

Valid points and no offense taken.

It is a coin toss and either way I don't care if they decide not to do it or they do.

I reached out to Ryan Holiday and he agreed to help. What it might come down to, is doing other media outlets. I have a solid connect to Montel who is pretty fair with interviews and possibly a better audience anyway.

If I'm going out in the media I'm going all out. Nightline is just the beginning. If it falls through, doesn't matter because I've been considering a media blitz for a while and will go through different channels.

Sorry I noticed this thread late.McQueen, I know your decision is made but I wonder if you can negotiate, or get them to sign a contract stating that you have to approve of some kind of final cut.So that you will agree with how your image is portrayed on air.Maybe have a lawyer write something up for them. You call the shots in a way. You're the man ,they came to you kind of thing.Just thinking out loud. Not sure how the media business works but something to think of.

No worries, my man. Just probably being over-defensive.

Another possible angle could be that '50 Shades Of Grey' movie that's coming out. It could be a trite story along the lines of "What do women really want? We asked a self-professed playboy."

The style makeover idea was simply a ploy to turn one appearance on the show into two. But sounds like you've got, as always, a solid game plan. If all goes south, own it and don't back down. Girls watching will tell themselves that they could reform you anyway.

I'd prepare.

Christian,

You may have already seen this, but it's pretty relevant to your situation.

RSD Jeffy basically got slammed as being a date rapist in Jezebel and the article went viral. Had girls coming out of the woodwork to blast him, girls he'd been on dates with, and even people making shit up apparently.

He said it fucked with him mentally for a while, but fairly quickly realized that no one gave a fuck. It was a much bigger deal in his own mind than it was in real life.

So even if they do slam you and spin the story, it probably won't have anywhere near as much of a negative impact as you may think it will.

But yeah, definitely worth looking at if you're thinking of going public with your manosphere persona.

^^ I try to leave women better than I found them, so I'm still friendly with some of my ex's. All McQueen needs are some beautiful women with him, laughing at the interviewer for insinuating that they would be stupid enough to date a 'rapist'. Some of the girls I know would do it for the troll value and shot of fame alone.

Ironically I got another email today from the producer looking to set up a shoot time.

There's been a couple of red flags, so I'm being cautious.

It started out as a special on my work and has quickly shifted to discussing the manosphere and masculinity.

That's fine, but I'm not the face, nor the leader of the manosphere, so I've decided to think it through more before doing it.
