Games Of Thrones : Season 4

I am just hoping the wildling invasion doesn't come at the end of the season. I also wish there were more battle scenes like in season 2 other wise holy shit can't wait for the next episode

This season is going to end with a bang. I can see where episode 9 will go.

People will be greatly surprised with certain characters and what they are capable of..

Arya given a lesson towards taking the red pill:

“I just understand the way things are. How many Starks they gotta behead before you figure things out?” —Sandor “The Hound” Clegane

Also thoughts on the Jaime/Cersei sex scene, or as most people are calling it, the rape scene. The scene is definitely not a rape in the books, so personally I thought this was butchering Jaime's character development from the last season.

Too much gay shot on this show. I don't want to watch two guys making out naked.

The concerned females of Jizzabel/Tumblr/randomMoronicWebsite are all very distraught over the "rape" scene in the latest episode. Never mind that people keep losing their heads left and right in the show.

I tire of all the gay propaganda in the show. The show creators changed Oberyn from a ruthless womanizing badass into a fag.

No he always played both sides, he's very similar to the books so far.

The show just does it more overt where the books were subtle. Same with Loras' and Renly's gay leanings. There's likely many reasons for this. Lack of time/money to thoroughly dwell into every character to fully flesh them out, visual story telling doesn't have the same ability for subtlety, lower attention spans among TV audiences etc

His bisexuality was nothing but rumor in the books.

Just like Loras/Renly. As mentioned, the TV medium requires everything to be more overt or lost altogether.

Why cant they do it the same in the TV show?
just hint at it through dialogue.. why does it have to be this full-on faggotry?

IMO, because they want to appeal to those in the audience and in Hollywood who are obsessed with LGBT rights. There are a lot of powerful people in show business who are into that shit and it's recently come out that a bunch of key gatekeepers abused teenage boys in wild gay sex parties.

It's also a form of cultural conditioning. The systematic normalization of the abnormal.

Here is your dissection: it's a tv show. No one was actually raped. No women were raped during the filming of this tv show. so the feminists can save their ire for actual rapes. Apparently incest, murder, torture, mugging, prostitution= all OK in a feminist's reality, but a show that has rape= a huge problem!

His bisexuality was nothing but rumor in the books.

He would not openly parade his bi-ness in front of Tywin in the books. That was because of decorum. But, he was very openly known to be bi in the books, unlike Renly and Loras who were known, but it was bad form to say it out loud. Oberin, being the red fucking viper, didn't give a shit.

There's other things to be mad about in the show; Oberin's bisexuality, not one of them.

Anyone think of Sam as GRRM commentary of "Alpha Fucks, Beta bucks"?

i.e. he's taking care of the girl he white knighted for (literally) AND her kid which isn't even his?

Deep stuff if you ask me.

We should have a "most alpha scene of the week" vote for each episode.

My vote this week is for the conversation scene between Tywin + Oberin.

Two supreme alphas.

Sam is more or less GRRM's self-insert. In several interviews he has commented on his similarities to the character. This is part of why I don't think GRRM is really Red Pill. Or if he is, he self-identifies as non-alpha and chooses to reject Red Pill behavior even if he recognizes it as a reality.

Naa he knows he's like Sam in terms of being fat, but he's definitely not like Sam in character necessarily. Sam is over-obsessed with his flaws and cowardice, and was bullied by his legendary father.

That being said, Sam will have a big moment in the books, but that doesn't mean GRRM is not red pill. Sam will have a big moment probably after gaining confidence and improving himself, and using his strengths. Isn't that what all of us are trying to do?

There's tons of tits & ass in the show that most definitely is not in the book, not even implied. So if a few characters preference for ass raiding constitutes "gay propaganda" that's some real selective viewing.

I don't think it's wrong that he's trying to protect Gilly and her kid, I just think that his awful Beta personality makes him do more harm than good in that regard.
