There seem to be a decent amount of rape comments. Those chicks just reduce the value of that word when they drop it like rain.

Yeah, they have.

Tuthmosis is this someone famous? I think she is definitely a beauty if she had long hair. Or was it just a random chick you found.

I'm not sure. It's an image that had been sitting on my computer for some time as a perfect example of an attractive girl dropping her score massively by mutilating her hair.

I recall reading somewhere, though I don't remember where, that long hair in females of the species likely evolved in parallel with our development as a social animal. This hypothesis considers the social and familial bonding that occurs among primates engaged in mutual grooming, and extrapolates from there. It seemed reasonable at the time I read it; if I find the source while this thread is alive, I'll post it.

What is an appropriate hairstyle for men seems to be much more culturally influenced, which, in my opinion, supports the idea above. Since a man's hair does not serve the same biological, family-bonding function as a woman's, males have been able to use hairstyles to display value, or to indicate class (for example, the story of Samson, whose hair was kept uncut as an indication that he was a Nazirite). Of course status indicators and cultural norms vary by time and place, which we should then also expect to be true of men's hairstyles, which is indeed the case.

I thought we kept our hair short so it wouldn't get caught on brambles while running after game.
Women never needed to do that, so that's what we were normalized to during our evolution.
So a woman with short hair = huntress = no need to provide for her.

I might just be pulling a feminista and speaking out of my ass, of course.

WHO: Anne-Catherine Frey, the Paris-based fashion designer, stylist, and blogger

WHAT: “I had classic long hair in the beginning. Nothing special. I decided to cut it when I was about sixteen. I had always wanted it short, but was afraid at the time that boys wouldn’t like it and that I wouldn’t fit in anymore. What silly problems! Now it changes so often, depending on my mood. I never take my hair too seriously. After all, it grows back. Currently, I also have an undercut. It’s perfect for me—I can have a ponytail but short hair at the same time. I love it.”

I still remember when Cameron Diaz was younger and chopped off her hair after wowing everyone in The Mask. In case you forgot:

Before:

After:

[Image: Cameron-Diaz-in-There-s-Something-About-...53-592.jpg]

The difference is stunning. She loses four or five points by chopping off her hair.

I watched that movie relatively recently with a girl after watching the mask and we both commented about the same thing.

There's no real comparison, I was dreadfully disappointed by how much plainer she looked when compared to her in the mask.

I wish I remember where I read it but a huge part of the reason women chop off all of their hair is so that they can prove to themselves (and everyone around them) that they *still* are the hot shit without the hair.

I like how her short hair accentuates her horsey teeth.

Says using "ugly" twice in the same sentence is stupid, can't pronounce the word "topographies".

That's what I gathered from the :45 seconds I made it through.

I never realized how many completely uninteresting people had Youtube "channels" until these video responses to ROK articles.

This chick is not attractive, she's not well-spoken, insightful, charming, or funny. The production value on her video couldn't be lower...the editing sucks, it looks like she's in a cave, there's shit all over her room, and you can barely hear what the fuck she's saying.

And it's the same thing with every one of these videos. I looked through the other videos for one of the Eating Disorder responders and it was just her eating candy and spinning around in a computer chair.

How narcissistic are these women that they believe people want to see them ramble incoherently about nothing in a video that no effort was put into?

Anybody remember that Felicty shit?
My GF back in the day used to watch that show, so of course I watched it too.

Anyway, Keri Russell went from this

to this

The ratings tanked. Even bitches stopped watching. ABC executives MADE her grow her hair out for the next season.

Hmmm I wonder what the difference was?

She slid at least four points.
Funny, the actress has never cut her hair short again. She's like 40 now and still she doesn't dare.
