Kanye admits he's been dealing with addiction. He's still very articulate despite the struggles and clearly he's going through a transition. He wants to reach out and embrace humaneness. He's not malicious at all. I won't derail the thread by going into the addiction part, but I intend to read John Potash's book ''Drugs as a weapon against us''. In the TMZ interview (do watch it in full) he even mentions the Tom Cruise standing-on-Oprah's-couch incident. Cruise's career has been wrecked since that day. Even if Abraham Lincoln exported all former slaves back to Africa, how can anyone know where exactly to go? No one has citizenship and no one has ancestry records.

I can trace my black Haitian ancestors fairly easily. When I try to get back to Africa it is a dead end. I recently found an ancestor from Prussia, but none of us have ever made headway on Africa in almost 10 years of research. Also even if you can use DNA to get somewhat close to a country, some of those countries have changed their governments, territories, etc. and there is no record of your ancestor in their government files. All you could try is possibly asylum, but that is ridiculous even now.

Africans do not really see color as much as we do here, to them it's more culture then religion before anything else. Young or inexperienced Blacks in America often mistake their color for having some solidarity with Africans, eventually find out just how out of touch and different we are to their world. What's the point trying to learn a different culture with no prior knowledge of what it is like? Even if you did know, why force yourself if you actually do not like it?

I tried to like like Nigerian culture, but I could not help but hating it after a while. Then when I realized Yorubas are very different than Igbos then I realized I might have like being around more Igbos, but at the end of the day, having similar DNA markers is not the same thing as sharing a history. It's funny sometimes watching a Nigerian in corporate America getting stiffed by some obvious racism or bullshit, but have no clue what the Black Americans are talking about. What can you do? Draw a racism map for them? We helped build America and it's culture like the next group did, notions about leaving are just foolishness.

I forget if I saw this here or on another site, but I'll repeat it just in case.

If Kanye is accused of being a Russian plant, and he knows he's not, then that just makes him look at the situation with Trump, and realize all those accusations are bullshit too. It just strengthens his support for Trump.
