I went out to that Red Rock resort one afternoon. It was a completely different vibe than the strip. Saw some talent but seemed less crowded and more like people who wanted to avoid the strip. Are there nightspots? Or just in that resort hotel?

I Just looked up Lavo Brunch. That sounds good. Ive heard about it but I always thought it was required table for $1000 minimum there. But with that minimum entry fee what do you do? Drink like it's in a bar or eat or what? Is it OK solo or better to go with somebody?

Its better to get a table. Its fine solo or in twos, but most of the girls are at guy's tables. They opened up an outdoor patio, and expanded the areas a bit. There is still a small bar area, but you will have so much better logistics with a table.

You just pay admission, buy drinks at the bar. Its a smallish venue though, but the ratios are really good as is the quality. Its very loud in there though, unless you go outside to the patio where they have a photo booth.

Lavo Brunch video:

Basically what they do is when it first opens everything is lit up. Lights, the shades for the window. Then every hour they gradually close everything and it gets more and more into a club from a lounge.

Its a high end crowd, so just be prepared for that.

OK will check it out. But I went to that club in Palazzo and didn't like it at all. I know an Orange county chick that went there to be a show girl and has done every other nightclub job since. Will ask her about that brunch.

Drazen's info is really good. I still haven't had a bad night at Omnia but agree that it has gone a bit downhill. XS is consistently top quality and overall the best choice of the megaclubs if you're not getting a table. Intrigue can be very good if they have a name DJ. If you're getting a table, you're probably best off at Hakkasan or Omnia because the energy is far more concentrated around the tables at those.

When you refer to "that club in Palazzo", do you mean TAO, which is at Venetian? I don't believe Palazzo has a nightclub (unless you're referring to The Act,, which closed like 4 years ago), since Lavo is only a day time party, in the evening it is a restaurant.

If it is indeed TAO, those two aren't comparable. TAO is not great. Lavo is completely different. I have only been one time, since I usually use the daytime to recharge and prepare for the night and a nightclub at 3pm just sounds strange to me. However, the time I went the quality was absolutely top notch.

Has anyone been to " On the record" yet? Its a speakeasy/club in the MGM. Any other non club spots that are worthwhile to check out on the strip?

Lavo was a full nightclub 4 or 5 years ago. It was upstairs and a small club and they had a bar downstairs that was separate. I loved that nightclub, especially when DJ Vice would have "Vice Sundays", we always got a table though, and as far as getting a table was concerned, it was an excellent value. Table was hot, since the club was small so you were very visible and you could get a table on the dance floor for not very many bottles.

Honestly, it was too cramped and crowded if you didn't have a table, so that may have skewed the experience.

Sorry if it sounded like I was doubting Drazen's Las Vegas knowledge, I recognize that he is one of the leading forum experts on Las Vegas, I just wanted to get some extra intel. I actually found a long YouTube video from Jan 2019 that backs up everything Drazen says and gives a great breakdown on the Lavo Brunch.

Yeah, I mean the TAO nightclub was not that good. But the whole complex is promising. I have to spend more time in there next time. I agree that when XS is good it's great, but some nights are not that good. Maybe the Sunday night swim has the most consistent quality level, otherwise it can be very DJ dependent.

My list of places to try next time include:
- Sapphire Day Club (just to see it. kick back in a chair, drink cocktails and watch hot babes all day)
- Jewel (in Aria hotel)
- South Strip hotel bars and clubs (MGM, etc)

Any comments or suggestions?

Sapphire is VERY relaxed. Not very crowded at all. It may be good for that purpose. The best girls are always at Encore Beach. I found that the Beach Club at Mandalay was pretty good too if you don't want a huge line like at EBC or Wet.

Jewel is ok, it has a 2nd tier vibe to it. Alot of people who don't go to Vegas frequently. The dancefloor is usually more accessible and they have a larger bar area in the back (on two floors).

Any Vegas updates on good places to stay, clubs, bars? Last time I was there was over a year ago. On that trip I decided to avoid the big clubs and try out the lounges. Just went to two clubs. The one in the Venetian and the one in the Paris, Paris hotel. Neither was anything special. Lounge bars changed from night to night, but it was a nice change.

My best friend just came back from 4 nights in Vegas and has me ready for my trip out there in May. He hit up On The Record (club in Park MGM), and said the quality of women was the best of any of the spots that week. Hyde and Intrigue were right behind, with 2 of his pulls coming out of Hyde (2 women in town for a work conference, likely married but single in LV).

Regarding hotels, all depends on your budget. If you aren't a gambler and location is important, you may wanna check out Vdara. It's literally steps away from Aria in the middle of the strip, and the rooms are nice for the price. It is one of the few hotels on the strip that doesn't have a casino, so when you wanna get away you can relax.

I personally like Cosmo, Aria, MGM, and Encore.

Agree with sentiments regarding Omnia. It has gone down hill... Very young pretentious crowd.. especially on Calvin and Zedd nights. Last year went on a Tuesday and it was a complete sausage fest. Went theer Tuesday for 5 straight years...and truly dissapointed.. so wont be back next year.. will do Hyde instead.

As mentioned Hyde seems to be the target friendly environment with most chances of success followed by Intrigue. Still fancy MDC especially since i stay at cosmo.

Cosmo still the best party vibe hotel...

Alo liked Tao beach as well on a thursday...

I've never been in the Omnia. Everytime I see that huge line to get in i just think it will be better to just go to the bar outside in the casino. I was in Hyde once, not sure which night but maybe it was an off night. there weren't so many people and all nice girls were all at tables.

Marquis Day club is pretty good, but it's a different vibe than the Encore Beach Club. i think EBC is better for meeting girls. Even if I stay at Cosmo I don't spend too much time in the bars there. It's kind of like, if nothing is up after one drink, time to bounce. There are enough bars in there to bounce a few times, but too many thirsty guys. That Vesper bar next to the entry is full of middle-aged guys trying to find a hooker. Most of the girls at that bar look like they are hookers, and the chandelier bar is where the guys who want to pick up are. None of them approach, so it's not too hard, but it seems like that's a before place. More than half the time I meet girls there, but they always want to go somewhere else after a little while. I'm sure that there's a good strategy or the cosmo, but I haven't spent enough time in there to figure it out.

Cosmo is alot of quick work that needs to be done.. its great for flirtying and talking the shit on the move,... rather than looking at closing..you might meet girls in the elevattor or walking tho the day club or night club.. in the lines etc.

Mix of hipster and ghetto. Bar scene is terrible, at least in my experiences.

There is no hotel for EDC. EDC is held out at the Las Vegas Speedway, its kind of a bitch to get to from any strip hotel.

The big pool parties will have the same headliners that will be at EDC.

Yeah but which hotel has the best parties/events/vibe related to it.

I thought about doing campEDC for the convenient but their pool party line up looks lame. And well, it is Vegas. If I do the hotel I might do the chopper ride for a day or two, friend of mine said it was tits. He suggest the aria but reddit says the Aria has an older crowd so it might not be balls to the wall vibe wise.

I guess I’ll just look at EDC week party lineup and see which hotel has the niggas I want to see.

I'd probably go Palazzo. It has a good vibe and location, its near the Wynn/Encore for EBC, Tao Beach is there (although I'm not a fan really), it has a more relaxed, less stuffy vibe. A lot of girls (and guys too) go to venetian because they have a large room and they all stuff together in one room. An affordable option is the Treasure Island, its more of a midwest vibe, but more like "we're from the Midwest and we came to Vegas to have fun". Mix of older and younger though.

I say there versus venetian because sometimes the Venetian is a maze to get to the room. Here, you go up really quick.

I've never stayed at the Cosmo, I just don't get the right vibe with that property or its venues for some reason.

MGM has wet republic, but honestly there isn't much advantage to MGM. Everything seems a bit disconnected.

I do like the Mandalay, Daylight is a great, underrated pool party. The regular beach like pool is great there. Only disadvantage is there's nothing else around there.

^ Kinda scary how similar my experience is with Palazzo/Venetian. Those are the go-to spots for big groups who want to squeeze 6 to a room because you get the couch with each room which actually folds out into a bed. Its a great choice but not sure if you need it if you're going solo.

If you aren't strapped for $, Encore/Wynn has the hottest chicks and the best clubs. Also technically closest to EDC (though that commute is a pain in the ass regardless). XS, Intrigue, and Encore Beach Club will be popping off that entire week/end. Check those lineups.

Any of the cheaper hotels like Treasure Island, Mirage, Bally's, or Flamingo will probably be decent during EDC week, expect younger but more ratchet girls than at Encore. Those are all convenient enough to walk or take a short cab to the parties.

I'd avoid Cosmo and MGM. Cosmo strip-view balcony rooms are incredible but will probably cost a stack a night for EDC weekend, and the hotel itself isn't the greatest (Marquee is a 3rd tier club now). MGM is a shit hotel but charges Venetian/Wynn prices just because they have Hakkasan and Wet Republic. Not worth it in my opinion.

For lower budget hotels, TI and Flamingo have had "pool parties" in the past, where they have a DJ and a hype guy trying to get people on spring break amped up.

Never been to Daylight.. but the big pools in Wet/MDC/EBC are still the best. I am more of a night person though. Cant wait to get to vegas again! A friend went spring break... sausage fest!

stay away from Spring break

In my opinion, Encore Beach is the only pool that is Tier 1. There is no equal.

Spring break is always wack in Vegas, Vegas is slightly older than a Spring Break crowd and weather isnt really warm enough yet.

Was at the newly renovated Palms this weekend. Very nice remodel and vibe. Still pretty sparse crowds, but I would highly recommend staying there and going to the new KAOS club early before it gets on the masses' radar. Looks like massive indoor and outdoor space, probably similar to Tao but I think it'll be bigger.

There will definitely be tons of hot, down girls when it opens and the logistics are steller if you are staying in the Palms main tower.

They hired some absolute stunners working around the property.

Its also Bachelorette Party season in Vegas, it is a very very very Target Rich environment now. Very.
