Flashing a big bankroll in public

@pirate

Why are you flashing cash to salesmen?

You just flash at bars/lounges etc where it is to your benefit. If you have to pay actual bills just slip the card and ID out of your wallet and don't show any cash at all.

I wouldn't flash cash in front of a used car salesman but you can flash cash in front of a bartender to make sure to user served first, tip a good amount and he'll go back to you first.

$2,000 is overkill IMHO but if someone really rolls around with $2K instead of $500 I would be interested in hearing the difference.

Bankroll Game is TIMELESS.

Well said.

This is one of those things like so many things with Game.

Ask yourself the question:

What does a guy that doesn't get girls do?

Answer:

He uses credit cards always and never carries a big Bankroll.

Then the next course of action is usually pretty easy to figure out from there.

Not much in my experience.

I said this earlier:

Quote:Quote:

You can get the same "effect" with $400-600 though. Just use smaller denominations to create a "roll".

That is sort of a Bankroll "hack" if you will.

Bankroll Game is similar to Custom Suit Game.

They both do two things that we don't talk about on here too much:

1. People react better towards you.

2. You feel better.

So it is a double bonus win-win.

A classic 2 + 2 = 5, scenario.

------

So yeah, you yourself might feel better with $2000 in your roll, but the effect on 95% of the people will be the same.

^ point #2 is only true if you are well off.

I am guessing if a guy is broke and walks around with half his net worth in his pocket he would be more scared than confident.

This is another reason why success breeds success

I have done this for years. It took me awhile to notice the attention I was getting doing it, after that I played it up much as possible. A lot of the time when I would collect rent I would get it in cash so around the first of the month I always had stacks of cash on me. Girls eyes light up when you stroll threw 100's to find something smaller to pay for a drink or a kit kat bar or whatever you guys are into.

A lot of time they would ask me if I was a drug dealer... when they open you with that theres so many ways you can play it.

I went to a bar off Hollywood strip and it was a madhouse. So i stuck my bankroll (100 on the outside) to my forehead. The male bartender started cracking up and served me in 30 seconds.

Get that credit card suckers!!!!

I'm torn on the credit card at the bar thing. I do it because its convenient and seems to be the norm these day. It's a pimp move to say "Yeah open a tab please". But then again women pull the same credit card tab move. So I'm torn. Showing you have credit is comparable to flashing a bankroll I guess. I'm old school so like the feeling of having cash.

^ yep

1. How does the bartender know you're a good tipper?
2. How does the bartender know you're not one of the sleazy fucks who says "oh xyz drinks weren't mine take them off the tab".

Cash wins.

Regarding the coins question.... Simply leave it all as part of the tip.

I only use cash for partying + dates. I don't pay date tabs with credit either all part of the persona.

No, you've got this wrong. Sure, in some places they won't let you open a tab with just a credit card, but MOST places will. It's lame because then you usually have to give them your credit card and in many cases an ID.

What's pimp? The bartender already has a tab open for you without you having to ask. You get your drinks, you walk away from the bar or start drinking them and your date/friend wonders how the fuck that happened.

You know what's even more pimp? The bartender gives you a bill at the end of the night that's 20-50% off.

You know what's even more pimp than that? The hottest bartender in the place walks out from behind the bar on a super crowded/busy night just to bring you a huge shot that was "extra" and tells you to just tip them at the end of the night.

You know what's even more pimp than that? Everyone gets kicked out except for you and who you're with. The bartenders start drinking with you.

You know... You walk behind the bar after closing and start pouring drinks.

If you think opening a tab is pimp, it's not. You think having a high credit limit on a credit card is pimp? It's not. I'm not a pimp by any means, but I've had some experiences.

I've got a vase in my bedroom that collects all my change. Convenient for when I have to grab some change to pay a parking meter or when I want to buy a coffee next door. Otherwise, when it fills up (takes a long time), I take it to my credit union which lets me deposit it straight into my account with no fee for sorting/counting it. I don't use cash a ton for small items. More for tipping or paying for drinks, where the cash is most appreciated.

Points on your credit card are fucking great, until you start realizing that cash is getting you 20% + off versus your lame credit card.

Understand that some wait staff will see you as cheap/annoying for tipping with the change. Then they have to deal with the cumbersome change (instead of you just giving them the full dollar).

Get a place on lock and this is common in my experience.

Some will even ask me if I want to run a tab after I throw cash on the bar.

@ aneroid what horn wrote just below you is what I meant.

If the cost is $20.50 I will just leave $35 or whatever.

I am not tipping them $0.50 lol. That's how you suck at life. Also yes it is cheaper long run they start giving you free drinks, you cut the line etc.

With all due respect to the players of the forum, seeding your pocket with a stack of 20s and a couple 100s and then purposely breaking it out so that people can feast their eyes on it, gaining you some kind of baller or gangster points, comes across as painfully keyboard warrior to me.

To be quite honest, I don't know that I'd even want the type of people impressed by that kind of thing in my circle. I'm kind of a snobby bitch sometimes though, so take it as you will.

Flashing a big bankroll in public

I saw a guy bust out a wad that was at least 2 inches thick. Struck me as show-off/tryhard.

That said, I've been a money clip guy for many years and usually have between 400-500 - usually 2-3 100s and the rest 20s. I usually don't carry 50s. I alway pay cash mostly because I don't like my spending habits (what I buy, where I frequent, etc) tracked. The most I've had on my clip is somewhere around 800-1000, not sure exactly but any more and it won't fit in the clip. Sometimes, I end up with two wads, one in each pocket like when I pay with a 100 and get a wad in change back. The only time I think I'll ever have 2k+ on me is if/when I do VIP bottle service on $800+ champagne. I don't plan to do that anytime soon though. Or if I'm on the run, and need to buy my way out (getaway car, etc), "make a run for the border". Ha. In which case, I wouldn't want to flash it in public.

But yeah, in my experience most people will give up the respect and fall in line with your demands/needs/frame. Like to the point of people offering stuff up to me without me asking.

I don't hit on girls much, but when i do they melt.

Excellent points. This is when you know you've got the place on lock.

Usually when I drop a 100, especially if it's my first drink and I'm new to the place, the bartender usually beats me to it and asks me if I want to run a tab - if I'm digging the place and plan to stay for a bit. If not, I'll coolly ask if I can run a tab. After 1-2 times, they'll just say "Tab?" or just nod, and automatically run a tab for me and I'd just pay at the end of the night or when I leave and ask to pay the tab.

Paying with a c card makes the statement that you're living on credit.

Picking up coin change is a lame move in a high end, VIP club or bar. Not only do I not touch the coins, I leave paper/notes as a tip. Like I'm making the statement 'heres the tip and please take these coins away from me'.

I don't hit on girls much, but when i do they melt.

Big rolls would be harder to fake in countries like the UK, where every denomination of paper money is a different size and colour.

Two fifty pound notes sandwiching a load of fives would be really obvious. Looks like a Brit would need at least a few grand in cash to flip the greed switches, then?

Side question: if you're rolling with mainly larger bills and no wallet, how much change do you bother to collect? No coins obviously but do you stand at the register and wait to have $17 counted out for you?

Yeah, it can be a real pain in countries where they have $1 coins or $2 coins like Canada or Euros etc.

Another reason America is great.

But you do have a Custom Suit on right? Extra pockets.

Otherwise, I just pawn them all off on my next cab driver or spend them on some gum at a liquor store.

Paying with cash when you're out drinking or fucking around actually solves a lot of problems:
1. You don't have to worry about leaving a card behind or losing it if you drink too much. When this happens it's a nightmare.
2. A lot of bartenders will fuck up and overcharge your card or double charge it and you have to call the bank and tell them.
3. If a card gets run several times in one night the bank may think it's fraud and turn the card off on you. If you're hopping to different venues this definitely becomes an issue.
4. The staff actually sees you tipping in cash as you go and they tend to appreciate that more than when they just get a bunch of receipts at the end of the night.

I never pay with cards when I go out drinking anymore.
