I think the girls are not that pretty here in Miami Beach as people make them to be

even though it's so international and so Latin you'd think the talent level would be off the charts but no this is still America, even though there are so many tourists and foreigners

girls here and particularly beach girls are 2 levels below any place in Eastern Europe or South America

Quote: (10-14-2010 06:16 PM)Brian Wrote:

miami has the highest per capita of models as anywhere in the US. and miami beach really isnt very big, and thats where they all live/work. if you spend 30 minutes on Lincoln Road mall you will see more literal 10's then you will see in 6 months in most cities. they may or may not be attainable, but having spent some time in Miami Beach when you are face to face w/a girl like that its a completely different feeling

And again you guys keep making Miami to be the ultimate pussyland. You're spot on with Lincoln Road mall, but again, you're talking about US standards. Even though Miami Beach has gorgeous girls, the vibe still fades with your average Eastern European of South American city. Even the most sexiest US city fades with your average EE or SA cities. It's the American lifestyle that changes the women. Driving cars instead of walking, different food, and most of all the smaller competitiveness and lack of desire to look even more pretty, such as is a total different case in the aforementioned cultures.

When I go to any mall in South America or Eastern Europe I see more model looking girls than even in the model-infested Miami Beach. I don't know, that's just me, but Miami Beach is no wonderland for me. There are too many medium, and ugly looking, and bad looking black women here to say that this place is so exceptionally sexy. Yeah the 10's models are nice, but I rather live in a place with much more 7,8,9 than just occasional 10's and multitudes of 6's and 5's. That's how I see it. Miami is definitely no Colombia in that matter.

Yeah, I'm gonna agree, Miami has mad fatties and butterfaces, but at the same time, it has mad fly women. The only place I've been that beats it so far in the US is Vegas and possibly Cali, but like we've gone over a million times, Cali sucks because the bars close at 2. I also want to throw out there, the clubs in Miami don't compare to the clubs in Vegas from what I've seen. I went to Mansion last night, which is supposedly the best in Miami, it's about 1/3 the size of Tao in Las Vegas. I'm definitely going to have to say that I see a lot more attractive girls in Miami than I saw in Florianopolis, Sao Paulo, and possibly even Rio. But I guess between Rio and Miami beach, I would say it just depends on the day you go. Yesterday I hooked up with an un americanized Brazilian girl. Reminded me a lot of the girl I dated in Brazil. Very feminine and warm. I think I wrote up something on the German chick that was coming to Miami to visit me. Well, she came out yesterday, and she done fucked up by bringing a hot Brazilian friend. Yeah, the German girl was better looking, but the physique, femininity, and attitude of the Brazilian girl turned me on much more, and I knew the German girl was gonna probably play cock tease. As soon as I met her Brazilian friend, I knew immediately that I was giving up on the German and going for the Brazilian. So far, Miami seems like the perfect place for me as far as US cities go. Yeah, maybe you find more quality girls in places like Medellin or Vitoria, but good luck making a living down there. Once I get my degree in international business and get in with some good companies, then I can plan on starting a life in a more desireable place, but until then, I'm here in Miami, and I see that being my best option at the time. The one thing I will say I don't like about Miami are the clubs though. Too many meet heads and it seems like everything is about status, plus shots are $15 at the high end clubs. I feel like I'll do much better day gaming on the beach or going to bars or places where your not gonna spend $150 in a night. But I don't see many places better to game than the beach. A new one I've discovered works well to break the ice, is when tourist girls are taking pictures, make sure you stop and ask them if they would like you to take the picture for them. A couple guys that were hanging out with the German girl and her 3 friends told me that's how they met up with the girls. Good suggestion, and I tried it on the way back home, the girls are never going to say no. Unfortunately I was on the phone with a friend I hadn't talked to in a while, so I didn't do much game running, just kinda wanted to test it out a little bit.

I appreciate all the information you are giving the forum about Miami. I am looking at that place as one area I would potentially be when I am ready to start my career and your day to day comments help me formulate a better picture of the area. I hope things work out for you down there.

Thanks bro, things seem to be falling in place. I'm just hoping to find a job making more than $10 an hour. Any job making tips out here seems like it pays pretty well. The job I'm hoping to get pays $9 an hour plus tips, which should be pretty damn good money, it's pretty much the most popular botique hotel on South Beach, right on Ocean. I hear a lot of Americans stay there as well, which means $$$$. The South Americans don't tip much from what I've heard, but I would get tipped well by the Brazilians at the last hotel I worked at, but it could have had something to do with me speaking Portuguese and having been to Brazil. I've had a couple of interviews for jobs I didn't really want. If you have time you should come down and check out Miami and see if you like it. I didn't do that but had been to Ft. Lauderdale and West Palm before I came. Like I said, Miami is pretty much exactly how I thought it would be before I came out here.

L'Étranger, I'm just trying to lay down some knowledge for you, if you don't like it, don't read it. I'm not writing a college essay here. I came from freezing my balls off in Colorado. I preffer sweating my balls off at the beach to tell you the truth, minus not being able to snowboard.

I don't know about South Beach being the only place to be. I've been hearing a lot of good stuff about certain parts of Miami, and even West Palm, Ft. Lauderdale, Pompano, and other spots. I saw mad tallent in Coconut grove when I went there. I remember Lauderdale having all sorts of tallent. Yeah, South Beach is a good spot reguardless, but I wouldn't rule out other areas in the Miami area and north. I'm living by South Beach because that's where my line of work is, but once I get a car, I'm considering living in Miami since the cost of living is a little less. Miami Beach is definitely pretentious, but there are still tons of good people to meet out here, or at least so it seems. I haven't made much effort since I've been busy, but when I have made an effort, I've at least chatted some people up or got some numbers.

By the way Lavinci, wanna meet up sometime this week and try to pick up some chicas? It's been kinda tough out here without a wingman. I met a couple of dudes today that I mentioned above that were hanging out with my girls from Tampa, but the more the marrier. All I know out here really are girls.

Brandon you got my number give me a call some day and we can take my dogs out on Ocean Drive and you'll see what I mean. I got 4 little monsters and very often there's a few girls so I can use some company and actually I really could use an extra hand with the dogs lol.

Sounds perfect man. Having a dog is great for picking up. I'm almost thinking I should try and get a job walking gig from some rich people on the side so I can get paid and try and swoop at the same time.

I know for a fact when i get to Miami im going to be hitting up all parts in an around Miami. I like the South Beach scene but I also enjoy the very hispanic / latin spots off the beaten path. You can find some real gems without of all the pretentious snobby stuff you will encounter in South Beach.

For sure, I'm dying to get a car out here. I wanna check out some of these spots. I just got a connection in West Palm. He said it's pretty good for the 30th, I might go check it out and then head back down to SoBe for Halloween.

Brandon you misunderstood me, I knew you had written helpful and detailed infos, but my first reaction when seeing your wall of text was to skip it. Its simply more appealing to read paragraphs, especially on a computer screen.
You (and lavinci) plan to stay in miami for how long ?

Yeah, I understand that, but sometimes as you can see I type a lot and try to get it all down fast, don't even think about paragraphs, just thinking about solid info to put down.
(Just for you [Image: wink.gif]
Honestly I plan on being in Miami for the next 4 years. I'm hoping to go back to school once I get my shit together. It really seems like my type of place, I really don't see living anywhere else in the states besides maybe trying out New York. I may make it my perminant home base in the states until I can get a good job in another country and move there if that ever happens. If not, it's the best place to be to travel to South America and the Carribean. The closest thing you're gonna get to living in South America while still living in the states.

I am definitely going to check out Miami for sure. There is a high possibility I will be attending the University of Florida for my masters and taking frequent trips to Miami during my breaks will definitely be in the itinerary. Just work hard, enjoy being down there and when you have to the time, type up some data sheets.

I've been living in Miami since 1996, I would never live anywhere else.

A lot has changed since 1996, but the basics stay untouched.

I'm starting to lose hope on my job search. I feel like I've applied everywhere. The interview I had today, the guy told me he couldn't hire me until the end of November. Thanks for waisting my time buddy. I feel like most people I've met here, even those that don't speak good english, have told me that they found jobs in the first week they were here. I don't understand it, I have mad experience and come in dressed sharp with a suite and tie. It's getting frustrating. I spent 7 hours looking today. A lot of people tell me they are interested, but I never hear a call back. For a lot of hotel jobs, they want you to aply online, which I think sucks, but I'm doing it anways with no progress. I'm almost ready to call up my first interviewer for $10 an hour just so I can have SOMETHING until I can find a better job. A lot of places also aren't hiring because the season hasn't begun yet. I thought at first that I came out at the perfect time, but it looks like I should have waited a month.

I just started on Restaurants today. I had a couple people say they were interested, but we'll see. One of the restaraunts I was at had 3 people trying to aply at the same time, but I think one of the girls liked me. She didn't show any of the others much love but she was shooting me smiles and she was out of aps. so she had to make more. She kept appologizing because she was busy. She said she was gonna give the ap to her manager and was sure she would call me. Who knows though. A lot of the restaurants are slow right now. I don't have any server or bartender experience asside from a couple of banquits I've worked, but I do have mad guest service experience.

Mixx,

"A lot has changed since 1996"

And how. South Beach was the illest place in America bar none until Versace died. Maybe we crossed paths back in those days Mixx.

Brandon E.

Don't get discouraged. G up.

You need some insider info and connections.

Here is the full proof way to get a bartending job:

1. Find which bar you want to work at. Or check restaurant bars, they are easier.
2. Go in and hang out on slow nights and rap out with bartender. Make friends with him tip him decent too. Lock the cat down.
3. Ask him what's up. If he doesn't have a job, guaranteed, he has friends at other spots that will know.

I never accepted a bartender job when I was younger, but I have been offered a job three or four times with this method.

Good luck brother. Make it happen.

I expect some pro-bono drinks come this winter.

Thanks for the advice bro, it's a damn good idea. I really can't even be going to bars though honestly until I find some work though. Honestly, I'm sure something will come up. I've been working my fucking ass off, walking probably 4-5 miles + a day wearing a nice suite, all over Miami and it's still hot ass balls here. Somethings gotta come my way. I've spent a shit ton of time looking for jobs, somethings bound to come up.

On the plus side though, I met a Brazilian girl this weekend. Her English is about as good as my Portuguese. I have someone to practice Portuguese with again! I'm pretty stoked on that. I find it to be the best way to learn, and I need to get back on speaking because I'm losing my skills. When we talk it probably sounds funny to most people listening. We'll be talking in English, then switch to Portuguese every couple sentences. It's also rad to be able to talk with someone in public and no one else knows what we are saying.

In all honesty, it's easier to meet Brazilian girls in Aspen, Colorado in the winter from what I've seen here so far. It's super easy to meet them in Aspen, it's all a matter of having the right moves to score them.

I obviously met the Brazilian in Miami. There were 2 of them. I was hanging out with a group of 4 girls this weekend, one German, one Frenchy, and 2 Brasileiras. I wrote this up a couple posts but I'll go over it a little again. I met the German girl in Aspen, turned out she lived in Tampa, a 4 hour drive from here. Her and I had a little fling but she was a cock tease. She would let me kiss but not fuck. I kept in touch with her anyways since she was mad fly, though why not, if she's coming out I might as well give it another shot. Well, she came out with 2 Brazilians and one of them was looking good, not as good as the German girl, but honestly I was still more attracted to the Brazilian, just from her warmth, femininity, and even down to the way she walked/moved. Hanging out with the Brazilian girl made me realize how annoying the German girl actually was, I couldn't believe I even put effort into her.

Long story short, I said fuck the German girl (Or don't fuck her) and go for the Brazilian. End up banging out the Brazilian girl that night. They left Sunday, but the girl's been sending me private messages on facebook, which is cool with me. I get to practice my Portuguese, and she's a good girl to keep around, obviously, she's Brazilian. I haven't met too many Brasileiras out here though and none of the ones I met were good looking. I did see one good looking B-girl in the store but she was with her boyfriend. I made sure she was looking when I grabbed my bottle of Guarana (Yep, they sell Guarana out here).

For sure, there are plenty of those to go around here. Mixx was telling me Pompano is the spot to meet all the Brasileiras as well. I'm anxious to check it out, along with a bunch of others spots. Damn, not only do I need a job out here, I need a car as well.

Brandon..I gotta tell you. I am kind of shocked you came out here and did not have all this job stuff lined-up yet, you got more "cojones" than me man. You gotta have your money right if you're gonna take-over Miami. So G up as Manifesto said!

However, I admire your bravery and sense of adventure..you must definitely be under 30 - us old-school cats like to have shit already locked down ahead of time.

Reminds me of the story the Old veteran bull, and his young bull:

Young Bull to dad bull: "Hey dad, look at all the cows down there...a whole lotta them just there for us to feast and fuck on...what do you say we run over there fuck one as fast as we can and run out"

The father bull slowly looks at his eager, and horny young bull and replies..."Son, I got a better strategy, why don't we slowly walk down there, and fuck them all - every last one".

Cute story I think.

I would not doubt it - but I was about 21 in 1996, so, my game and venues have changed a lot. One place I use to chill in 1996-2000 however was Nikki Beach - back then, it was definitely a spot to swoop. Its still a chill place, but not like '96. Even Fort Lauderdale had some ill spots in '96 - man, I remember the countless Brazilian/Mid-west college girls, and Cuban women I had sex with right on Fort Laud beach back in those days. Especially during Spring Break March 1996 and 1998 those were solid years - Nobody was up on Facebook, Internet or any Cyber bullshit you see today before having sex with them. It would fuck up and tie-up your phone line waiting for a booty call. =)

I just felt like it would have been really hard to get a job without being in the area. I had to stay where I was up until a certain date for work, that way I was able to collect unemployment, not to mention leave on good terms with good recommendations. I looked into it, but how was I gonna show up for interviews? What was I gonna do, tell someone who needed a position filled, "Yeah, I'll be there in 3 weeks for the interview." They would have told me to fuck off and they had plenty of other people to fill the spot. Plus, I wanted to see what I was getting into first. I kinda like doing it this way.

I think me an Lavinci have confirmed that 90% of the girls that live in Coconut grove are fat after last night. Though the first week I went there were some definite cutties. But I still remember there being a ton of fatties.

Brandon..I'm gonna throw you a bone. On Wednesday, head down to Downtown Brickell - and go to during happy hour time - usually the after-work crowd.

There is a Colombian restaurant there, look for my Miami guide here in the forum.

I think you'll really like what you see, and can swoop - 70% of girls are ALONE!

** I never go to Cocunut Grove - have not been there in 8+ years, and I don't live far from there.
