People can hate on Americans all they want, but remember Europeans, we are your army. If shit ever hits the fan in Europe, who are you guys running to? Europes army is weak and the rely on us for their security.

This is exactly why people hate you.

Does a shopowner who pays the mob a percentage of his income as protection money from other mobsters really likes any mobster?

People feel American military and cultural domination that sometimes borders on oppression even if very indirect. They try to get beck at Americans in many little passive/aggressive ways because these are usually the only ways they can.

So let me get this straight, people hate us because we were born into a powerful, successful society? That makes a lot of sense. Haters gonna hate.

I can assure you the average American traveler you'll meet in Europe didn't make the decision to invade Afghanistan. It just doesn't make sense to hate on an American because you think our government are war mongers. Not to mention any European would be very grateful if their country was invaded and we took their backs. Then we would be liberators wouldn't we?

Plus the shop owner comparison doesn't even make sense, because the Americans are the ones paying big bucks to keep Europeans safe.

There is no success without being hated. I am trying to allow for this truth in my personal life and the country that invented functioning genetic intervention ( thanks to Watson and Crick at al), the Internet ( not the Web, the substructure) and GPS has GOT to be hated.

Thank you very much for your admiration. Please enjoy using our free, open spec satellite GPS system. We hope to continue providing useful products and fat chicks.

Currently, there is no realistic and palpable scenario that any foreign country would invade Europe. Who would that be, anyway?

Besides, American taxpayers have no responsibility to finance a military that does more than protecting the US territory. If the US would suddenly leave NATO, it is very likely that the European countries would form a new defense alliance and feel pressured to increase their military budgets. You are right, Western Europe was easily able to lean back and do nothing for defense after WW2. But political circumstances change and there is good reason to believe that Europe would find a way to defend itself if pressures get increased.

Quote:Quote:

A number of countries rely on America for security. The reason Taiwan isn't taken over by china is because of America. The reason North Korea doesn't fuck with the south is because of us. The reason Kuwait wasn't taken over by saddam, because of the us. The massacre in Yugoslavia wasn't handled until we stepped in, while European nations stood by and watched, waiting for America to step in. Pretty sure I don't even have to mention israel.

There a strategic and economic interests behind all of these. The US does not intervene militarily purely because of humanitarian reasons. There are countless examples of conflicts where the US did nothing (Rwanda, Liberia, Congo, Eritrea, etc.) even though they were much nastier and bloodier than the Kosovo War.

You're right, Europe has no eminent threat, but if suddenly they did, they would turn to America. If something suddenly happened in the next year, it would crush Europe economically to prepare for a war without America by its side.

You're also right, we do go to bat for other countries because of political and economic motivation, the same way that a good friend has his friends back if someone is kicking the shit out of him, nothing wrong with that. But the US does also look out for smaller countries when in need not only because of economic reasons. For example, when Saddam invaded Kuwait, he offered us $10 a barrel for oil and we rejected him ad stepped in and helped Kuwait. After that Kuwait didn't do shit to get us cheaper oil. Now many Kuwaitis live better than a majority of Americans. Regarding Africa, I agree that we should have done something, but if we stepped in every time something wrong was happening in Africa, we'd be occupying all of Africa by now. It's a lost cause.

Plus, regarding Africa, the Europeans and Asians (mainly Chinese) are the ones really banking off the Africans misery. If you want to find out more about that, watch the documentary "the ambassador" and you can find out. It's an eye opener on just how corrupt Africa is and why it's so fucked.

Some Europeans are going to hate on us no matter what we do, but our existence isn't based on their approval. We are the "refuse" that left their borders and then forged our own destiny. The hate spewed is based on jealousy and ignorance. One thing I never could understand is that those hating so much, why do they have so many U.S. stamps in their passports?

Some hate US because they perceive them as Imperialist bullies.

Others hate US in the same way as you are disgusted by beta herbs. Because many Americans are beta herbs. Generally in eyes of Russians and eastern Europeans, the common American, especially the common tourist is a soft man who eats too much in McDonald, is too PC, and cannot handle his woman. I also share this sentiment.

Sometimes these both types of hate unite after all it is kinda unfair that soft weaklings are protected by the strongest army with the best technology.

Yet others hate you because they think of you as a masonic NWO enforcer. Others perceive you as a bitch for Israel. There are many reasons.

And while you say say that people are different from their government there is no running from fact that most of you (Americans, not the honorable members of this forum) did vote for Obama.

Yeah but were given the option of voting for a giant douche and a turd sandwich every election. Do you really think that Romney would have done any better?

Actually most of the forum voted for Obama.

There are a few very outspoken closeted homosexuals from dorky landlocked sh*thole Red States that make it seem like we would as a whole vote for Republican Male Cheerleaders.

But a few polls have proved that those guys are in the minority.

I don't know what the deal is but I've experienced American hate a bunch of times from frigging redneck Aussies in Asia who thought I was American. It's happened too many times to be an accident now and my fellow Canadians have experienced the same thing. Not sure what is wrong with alot of Aussies to be honest.

Anyhow, I'm all for the USA. All these people hate on the USA but they do alot of good for the world. I don't see the Chinese or Russians or whomever taking real action at the moment to help out the Philippines but of course the USA is sending in an aircraft carrier full of help. Proof right there. My 2 cents.

Where do you get that? Do you have something to back this statement up? Id say the majority of Americans on here didn't even vote. But that's just my opinion.

We deal in facts over here.

Obama67.29%

Romney (Male Cheerleader) 32.71%

If you had to choose Obama or Romney

Now go sit down and do you research before you even think of questioning me next time and I have to b*tch slap you again.

You Americans sound like those strong independent intelligent my-friends-say-I'm-attractive women (also originated from America) who keep wondering why men don't like them then swiftly conclude that men are too intimidated by their awesomeness.

I definitely got American hate in europe. While being American is a DHV in Eastern Europe, there are many people who don't like america.

I'm not very patriotic or anything, and I usually feel almost no sense of identity with my fellow countrymen when I am at home, but it's still annoying when you get this american hate.

Most of it is at the government, but a lot of it is a generalized hate of americans, american culture etc.

Sure, our country is a big bully that pushes around other countries. But guess what, The Netherlands doesn't have a bully country because they don't have much power. They don't have the ABILITY to fuck over other countries. We all know what happened in Napoleonic france. As soon as Napoleon saw an opportunity to get more power, he amassed a great army and sent them straight into the Russian winter. He screwed up Spain, Portugal, etc.

It's especially funny when Brits hate on america. For one thing, America was basically created mostly by Brits. Secondly, Brits were the most imperialistic people in history. They enslaved and committed genocide on half the world. So when people from this country hate on Americans for being imperialistic, maybe they can open a history book and see what their little country did for the world.

The most definitive changes that set America on it's course started before the U.S. became a country. 1066 A.D. William the Conquerer set the French Norman laws in England, which in turn became the basis for U.S. laws centuries later.

During the War of 1812 the Brits burned the U.S. banking system and installed their system, which in turn made us inexorably tied to the crown, still in place today.

America was the last frontier for easily developable, mineral rich terrain. Not deforested yet.

Hell, this country's been operating out of debt since the Bankruptcy Act of 1933. We are not the melting pot, we are the whore-hole that the whole world fucks.

And do all the other fine ladies of the world love this whore? Nope, women hate other whores usually. But men love her, because we can rape her for her riches.

Funny hearing Australians speak about American obesity too. Aren't they in 2nd place for lard asses? http://www.pbs.org/newshour/rundown/2013...tries.html
