Did you read the article and wiki page? Didn't you see they have other companies building this stuff for them. Yeah Mars One doesn't know how to build a rocket, but they have other companies they are hiring that do that do know how to make the stuff they need.
Bro you do realize that a majority of Mars One's team is comprimised by PR and marketing that's job is to edit the Wiki page and release news articles.
They plan on using other supplied yet even the main habitation module isn't even close to completion by SpaceX, and if you look through their PR news released they all contain "We
envisage to use XXX as supplier for YYY", this is nothing but a sham.
There isn't one piece of information that shows that SpaceX and Elon Musk has worked with the company, and they don't have 8 years to figure out they expect the first "pieces" of the "colony" to arrive on Mars by 2016, the voyage to Mars alone will take 500 days.
6 Billion isn't even close to enough, as Elon Musk has said it will require both the public and private sector to start to develop a mission and colonization of Mars, along with a lot more than 6 billion $$. Not even China is capable yet of launching a mission to Mars, and they've been stealing NASA data for the past decade, what makes you think a team of Marketers and PR communication people will be able to do so.
If they (Mars ONE) does send people to Mars by 2023 I will buy you a house, or even better I'll buy your ticket to Mars!
The Mars One PR team is similar to this interaction of a hopeful Kramer talking to Jerry
KRAMER: I'm completely changing the configuration of the apartment. You're not gonna believe it when you see it. A whole new lifestyle.
JERRY: What are you doing?
KRAMER: Levels.
JERRY: Levels?
KRAMER: Yeah, I'm getting rid of all my furniture. All of it. And I'm going to build these different levels, with steps, and it'll all be carpeted with a lot of pillows. You know, like ancient Egypt.
JERRY: You drew up plans for this?
KRAMER: No, no. It's all in my head.
MORTY: I don't know how you're going to be comfortable like that.
KRAMER: Oh, I'll be comfortable.
JERRY: When do you intend to do this?
KRAMER: Ohh.. should be done by the end of the month.
JERRY: You're doing this yourself?
KRAMER: It's a simple job. Why, you don't think I can?
JERRY: Oh, no. It's not that I don't think you can. I know that you can't, and I'm positive that you won't.
