You gotta remember alot of guys may have jobs on the side so 2 or 3 weeks is just a base to work an play. If you are just wondering the streets and hitting the clubs then 1 week will feel like a lifetime especially in a city you aren't feeling. Just go with the flow and try not to book too far ahead.

All the places I've booked so far are free to cancel. I'll see if I can get something in Wroclaw. The only reason I chose to stay in Katowice for that long is because there is nightclub right outside the house, but if it's really as bad as most people say then I will do just one week there.
As for Eastern Europe, is there a lot to see in Riga? I've met quite a few Latvian women here in London, and they are really beautiful, I don't care if they're difficult. I've met a few Estonian women, and they're nothing special. However, Lithuanian women are very friendly, and some of them are hot.

First off why are you staying in a hostel with a shared bathroom? Do you think girls will be impressed by that! One of the first rules is to get your own bachelor pad close to the action and city centre.
In Budapest you are 3.5km from the city centre, why aren't you in the city centre? The apartments are cheap there, why not get one for a month and use it as your base.
I would also scratch the baltic countries off your list.

Roosh, The G Manifesto, and quite possibly other respected forum members have spoken less than highly of Riga. Do you really want to go there when you have so many other great options in Europe and in other parts of the world?

Look, I already told you by PM. At any rate, whatever happens, make your own path and go whatever you want, this is what a real man does after all.

Agreed.

For logistics, you probably want to be on the Pest side, not the Buda side, even if it's at Moricz Zsigmond tér. Most of the clubs are in Pest (Deák tér is where the three metro lines intersect, so around there, Oktogon, or Blaha Lujza tér are good locations). There's also a few popular clubs at Obudaisziget, which is an island with pretty much clubs in ships/barges (though not to the extent as in Belgrade), but it's not really a central place to live. Also, avoid District 8.

Apartments are very cheap, but I don't know if landlords are willing to let them out for such a short period, as I've stayed there for 4 months. You could try googling "Budapest Lakás Kiadó" and you'll see tons of cheap, but decent apartments (there are places that are less than $200 a month); good luck trying, and a translator would be very helpful.

Not quite. I'd take a 8-ker place in a heartbeat, given the right location inside the district. Rents are cheap based on reputation alone, even though it's not as bad and safer than any latin american city, and they are still very close to the action.

Volk: actually I agree with you. I'm just saying avoid District 8 since most people are scared of that area and I don't want to be held accountable for any liabilities. I actually love this area.

District 8 has a bad reputation because there's a large gypsy/Roma population over there. There's also a large Asian population there and a huge Asian outdoors Market (Négy Tigris Piac, I believe, though it might go by a different name), where I go to when I feel like some Vietnamese Pho, lol. Also, I'm of Asian ancestry, so I can blend in well in this district. However, I'm not sure people go to Budapest to chat up Asians and Romas, but that's where you can find them.

I've been away for a while, after a whole lot of indecision, I'm sticking to the original plan of doing only 2 countries. The Poland trip is now confirmed! I leave for Krakow on June 25th, and I'll stay there for a week, and then head to Gdansk, Warsaw and Katowice. I'll be coming back to London on August 2nd to run some errands, and I'll leave for my 2nd destination on August 13, till now I thought it was going to be Budapest, but I have not been able to find cheap housing or hotels in Budapest, so I don't think it's gonna happen. The cheaper hotels and apartments are usually more than a few miles from downtown Budapest, and if you ask me there's no point staying far away from the city center.

So what other cheap alternatives do I have? I'm looking for a huge city that's really cheap and has friendly women, I'm kinda considering Sofia, but the plane tickets are way too expensive.

Since I'm travelling during high season, air tickets are quite expensive, so I'm still hunting for cheap tickets to Bulgaria, but I don't find any then it will have to Budapest again.

Well if it's cheaper to go to Budapest ... go there. Stay there a few days , or just take a bus to Romania , Bulgaria etc. It's not expensive at all and you can spend time in more towns this way if you want. For 30 euros you can go from Budapest to Timisoara and it's just a 3-4 drive. For Timisoara to Bucharest it's not even 20 euros , but it takes arround 12hours. Same for the train.

I bought Rome-Vilnius ticket yesterday. My other destinations include Brussels,Warsaw,Katowice,Budapest and Rome. I know I've changed mind a lot, but this time it's all paid for, meaning I bought the plane tickets and everything. I'm taking to the bus from London to Brussels, it's really cheap, and I'll only be there for 2 days, and then I fly out to Warsaw.

I will be in Rome for a couple days only, I just had to include it as I've always wanted to see the Coliseum more than anything else in the world. Why Warsaw? It seemed Krakow was a bad idea, and Wroclaw and Poznan didn't have any cheap hotels for me, so I had to go with Warsaw. I need more info on Vilnius, apparently it wasn't the wisest decision, but I figured Prague that since Prague is so full of Tourists I'd better head to Vilnius.

In order to make the most of my trip, other than London to Brussels, I'm flying everywhere else.

If you are still going to Budapest, let me know when you get there. I might be able to clear my messed-up travel restrictions at last.
