I'd only expedite death sentences after an overhaul of the judicial system that didn't reward prosecutors for stitching up innocent men in order to bolster their win/loss ratio.

I would eliminate the current system entirely in fact.

Trials would be run by a single judge up to a panel of 3 or 5 or 7 depending on the severity of the crime. Defendant gets an adviser (lawyer equivalent). The judges represent the state and subpoena evidence and testimony. Lower the bar to become a judge but make it a position applied for rather than granted by the state. This covers the "jury of your peers" bit.

Men would not be tossed in jail on the whim of a single feminist judge or a pack of witless oafs on the jury panel. The body of judges could petition that body to sanction certain judges seen to be routinely ruling outside the bounds of the law and have them fired. It would be like a legal immune system against activism.

It would also make bribery and other corruption much harder to effect.
