Gained new respect for Jerry Seinfeld after watching the video. He hates the awards, apparently.

And I agree with his description of actors, all brainless hacks, the lot.

I really wish entertainers of all stripes were of the same social status as the whores, like they used to be.

I am afraid that women appreciate cruelty, downright cruelty, more than anything else. They have wonderfully primitive instincts. We have emancipated them, but they remain slaves looking for their masters all the same. They love being dominated.

Comedians can be a different breed than actors.

They're pretty aware of all the bullshit that goes on, even some of the center left leaning comedians can agree with some of the right sides points.

Joe Rogan has a ton of those people on his show for example.

The Oscars have always sucked. But they especially sucked since Goodfellas lost to Dances With Wolves.

The oscars just a hit a 9 year rating low. Its consecutive lows for all award shows, emmy's, golden globes etc.

As the segmentation of the market continues and the oscars not reflecting the box office(best picture nominees represented some 2-3% of box office) they will only get more pathetic and more desperate.

You guys completely missed the metaphorical point of this Best Picture gaffe.

The following commentary is for entertainment purposes only:

What Best Picture competition is - is a war between different competing sides by other means.

When the winner was announced we had a misleading optics of a bunch of white people coming down onto the stage.

Victory lap, ticker tape parade...

but alas, the illusion was optical

clasic ((bait and switch))).

When La La Land producer (((Justin Whoreowitz))) turned around and pointed to Visible Minority War Party and declared "You guys won, this is no joke. Come on up, celebrate"... he was only voicing catharsis (((hundreds of years in making))).

The Visible Minority Party then went on to dedicate their win to all other "black, brown and trans folks" in the process completing the symbolic cultural takeover of America as designed and supervised by the (((Tribe))).

"Seinfeld" was mostly Larry David, Jerry Seinfeld was a great character that made it work, but the show was the brainchild and writing of David.

That's going a little too far.

Larry was a major force behind it and obviously contributed hugely and is a very funny guy.

But a lot of the early setups revolved around Seinfeld's more well known standup bits (which were hilarious). Jerry is also the guy who (it sounds like) put it all together, since David was a bit of a curmudgeon.

And finally, the two seasons without Larry were smooth sailing, and contained some of the best episodes. So Jerry proved that he could guide the thing himself.

I don't think anyone wants to see an awards show tied to box office (Spiderman 327 would win all the awards, bleh).

While I'm tempted to want to do away with awards show altogether, they can be a very effective marketing device for arthouse cinema.

As a studio you could make some mass product, then slip in a (decent) art film or two, and pump up one of them with some awards to squeeze some money out of it.

Then we still get a few good films per year, and the producers don't want to kill themselves from shame. It's wins all around.

Well...I didn't watch nor pay attention to the pathetic Oscars Awards. This picture just confirmed how shitty it turned into last night:

I think its funny how warren beatty didn't wanna be the one to say who won and he stuck Dunaway with the card, she just read Lala land since technically the card said Emma stone - Lala Land. He even stayed afterwards in order to explain it wasn't his fault so he doesn't end up being a joke. He's still a joke though lol.

If it wasn't for the 2017 Oscars, I never would have learned that Mel Gibson is currently banging a smokeshow 35 years his junior. He's the real winner here.

Yes, well isn't it lucky then, that this little slip-up occurred and secured front page of the paper and online news sites.

A little too lucky...

They just proved they're willing to fuck with the heads of their own by pulling stunts like this, so what are they willing to do to us?

Warren Beatty’s last chance at a modicum of relevance. He’s probably insanely pissed that his last movie was seen by less people than will read this post.

By now it’s as clear as the day is long that the Oscars are nothing more than a televised PC pat-on-the-back party.

What they’ve become is pathetic. But since all liberals can do is destroy, not surprising.

Warren Beatty is still alive????

It's a damned shame DJT can't find a place for Mel in the administration. He's an alpha-male that would help us MAGA.

I've mentioned the Death of the Monoculture in a few posts recently. I spend time yesterday around many different groups of people, read some online news sites and had dinner with a group of seven.

Not one person mentioned the Oscars was happening that day. I'd been thinking recently that the right should push for no walls between celebrities and the public, and ask for freedom for unvetted immigrants to sit amongst the celebrities within, with no scary armed men with guns to protect everyone, and, huh it already happened.

Hell, I was even thinking "You know, if ISIS shot up the Oscars, it would kill two birds with one stone."

... but it had come and gone with no fanfare or interest from the general public whatsover. There were no stories about it in the media, until the obvious fuckup happened. If anything, the stories are more mocking it as an example of how out of touch it is. I saw a bit of mainstream morning television (ugh) this morning waiting at the doctors, and even the morning hosts and live-via-sattelite colour commentators were yawning at how boring and pointless the whole thing was, and these people fawn with enthusiasm over people being offended over pointless crap on Twitter.

The Hollywood Creative class has no idea how irrelevant it has become after last year's election cycle. I honestly think you'd get more paid 'bums in seats' at Meryl Streep's public execution than whatever her latest movie is. I mean, bread and circuses, right? These people aren't consistently-entertaining, and can't reliably-even open movies any more, so why not charge people to watch George Clooney or Will Smith or Lena Dunham being thrown to the lions and clean up?

Except for Mel. Damn! Respect, brother.

Im not convinced (((they))) or SJWs are responsible for the ratings dip.

The Daytona 500 was yesterday morning with ratings up a little from las year but way down from years prior. Superbowl was down as we all know.

Live TV is just not Tue format of choice for a lot of people anymore. I think that's the problem.

You can just stream the parts you want to see in so many different ways.

Screw them liberals, none the less.

Aloha!

In most Westminster parliamentary governments, there are ministers fir the Arts.

Is there a federal dept of the Arts in the US?

Would there be a better head than Mel?

Speaking of, doesn't his body look thick, and his face fresh since he's been on the juice?!
