supplements what do you take and where do you get them?

Taking:

- Whey
- Creatine
- Multi Vitamin
- Fish Oil

Thinking of buying:
- Zinc or ZMA
- BCAA's (Amino Acids)
- Dick pills

Not sure what to take though or if I need any other supplements really. I wanted to take zinc for the testosterone boost, skin health and also the fact that I'm going to College soon and will be drinking more than usual which lowers zinc levels. Problem with just zinc alone though though is it will lead to a copper deficiency. While ZMA is known to cause acne issues (however zinc by itself helps prevents acne.

As for BCAA's (Amino Acids)... my whey protein does contain BCAA's, but I don't think it is enough.

As for penis pills (stuff like ginseng, maca, horny goat weed, argnine etc) - I wanted something that doesn't have side effects, and also a lot of them do similar things and I never know which to go for! If it is good for bodybuilding as well as for sex, then it is an added bonus.

Maybe someone could help me out? Not even sure if I need any new supplements. I find it kind of like a mini addiction to always want to buy a new supplement.

Arginine makes you quite jittery, just a heads up. Unless I had a hard workout ahead of me it was a bit too much, and I actually like the jitters. Not worth the sexual benefit IMO. It does, however, help your gym performance. You will have 2-3 more reps per set than normal, and they will be better quality.

ZMA is whatever, I get really good results from Zinc alone and its cheaper. Lots of morning wood and relentless horniness. D3 seems to boost my overall test levels as well. I havent had experience with hornygoatweed or maca unfortunatley.

Opti-Zinc 40mg
Magnesium 400mg
Vitamin B1 100mg
Fish Oil 1000mg

Take each once a day. Been doing it for about a month now. Am noticing that I am getting better sleep, as well as being able to recall dreams almost every night. Take all of them during dinner.

Should I continue to take these during dinner or should I switch these up to the morning?

I just found a new box of Mex-Rx and a tub of Syntha-6, but they are two years out of date. Would you guys take or toss?

Are they sealed? Those expiration dates are more of a CYA thing by manufacturers.

That stuff is a frankenfood sealed with nitrogen to keep out all oxygen. It should be fine.

Mix it and if it smells normal (i.e., not like spoiled milk), it should be fine.

Costco multivitamin for men. It has most of the chemies already discussed in supplement related threads.

Fish oil.

Costco protein powder.

Cheap and sustainable habit. Also I don't see the point in taking too many vitamins if I'm eating relatively balanced.

supplements what do you take and where do you get them?

I've started supplementing only three things,

Magnesium
Vitamin D (Will stop once summer hits since I work outdoors)
Fenugreek

Magnesium has just helped my body generally, especially with some breathing problems I've had. I've also found it helps with my libido which is awesome. I'm not certain about the science as to whether or not magnesium helps with testosterone or not, but the libido boost does appear to occur when I'm cycling magnesium.

Vitamind D if you're not outdoors much, helps bring your T levels back to normal. Generally a good maintence supplement.

The latest supplement I added though that's shown promising results is fenugreek.

Fenugreek boosts your t levels. The entry level research on fenugreek has found evidence that fenugreek boosts testosterone, and the best part is that fenugreek is cheap. I took it for a couple days, not remembering I took it - I put all current vitamin stacks I take in a seperate bottle so I can take them with my morning breakfast, but I only take one each and they're all different, and I forget I added fenugreek to the stack. By the second day, I started being a lot more outspoken I found myself talking to people without thinking about it much, and I felt motivated to want to lift even. In addition, I found my libido increased a lot more. Also, I've had to shave my beard more, my beard and hair has been coming in a lot quicker, I'm not certain if this is related to the supplement or not, but it's been noticable.

All in all, that's my basic stack,

Right now, my regimen consists of:
*Fermented cod liver oil/butter oil blend
*Estro-X
*Aggressive Strength (Bulbine Natalensis; Stinging Nettle root; Mucuna Puriens)
*Pine pollen tincture
*8 Immortals THIS IS AN ADAPTOGENIC FORMULA CONSISTING OF THE ALCOHOL & WATER EXTRACTS OF... (Wild Chinese & American Ginseng root; Duanwood & Wild Reishi fruiting body, Tibetan Rhodiola root; Himalayan Cordyceps fruiting body; Schizandra fruit; Goji berries, Snow Lotus flower; Polygonum multiflorum [Ho Shu Wu])
*Dual extract of chaga mushroom
*Vitamin D3
*Vitamin K2
*Orgono Living Silica
*MSM
*Raw Omega-3 Plus

I drink lots of teas made with gynostemma and/or ginger and/or chaga mushrooms and/or cat's claw and/ or pau d'arco, etc. Although, I don't consider these "supplements."
I also drink bone broth, every day, made from bones of grass-fed cows. We let that shit go for 24 hours or more.

Is there a problem with taking too many supplements? Like does it over work your body to process them all? I am taking a few, seems like there are so many you could take. I wonder if taxes the body. Thanks.

supplements what do you take and where do you get them?

I'm a slender guy: 5'11 @ 150lbs.

About 1.5 months ago I started working out on Victor Pride's "Body of a Spartan" 4 day work out regime and I am already starting to see results.
On days that I work out I take a two scoop serving of Muscle Milk when I wake up in the morning, and after I work out in the late evenings. I haven't really put on any fat but I have put on a little muscle.

In terms of supplements, I started taking 4 grams of fish oil and 5,000iu of D3 per day around 1.5 months ago. I have also recently purchased an Omega J8006 juicer and have been juicing about every other day. Carrots, beets, peaches, apples, celery, grapes, oranges, all sorts of greens, swiss chard, kale, etc.

I have to admit I feel fucking great and I really think my cognitive ability has gone up somewhat. It's like my memory is sharper and I just think clearer.

My question is: I'm trying to introduce healthy habits and supplements incrementally. I'm ready to add another supplement to my regime but I'm not sure exactly what I should get.

I'm thinking either a green tea extract or a multivitamin. Perhaps zinc?

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Like I said previously, right now I'm doing: fish oil, vitamin d3, working out, muscle milk on exercise days, and juicing.

For anyone that is looking for a great place to start, I totally recommend anything that I have just mentioned. I feel fucking great.

Any tips are greatly appreciated.

As far as zinc goes, I have been taking ZMA and there is a thread floating around on the forum about zinc. Definitely think zinc is a good supplement.

Thank you, sam. I'm definitely leaning towards either zinc or a green tea extract for my next supplement.

If you're feeling fucking great with the regimen you're on right now, don't change a thing.

You always want to find the simplest possible regimen that leaves you feeling great. The more things you add the more potential there is to mess up one way or another so if the basic regimen you're on is getting it done for you, there is absolutely no need to add anything.

Creatine, whey protein (mass gainer), casein protein, glutamine, and a multi-vitamin.
From BB.com. (Not literally BB.com, I don't know if I'm allowed to link on this forum, BB stands for something)

Thank you for your advice. I know I have eaten shitty food and drank alcohol to excess for so long I really want to sort of throw everything at the kitchen sink at myself and see how I feel. I'm actually in pretty good shape and I look about ten years younger than I actually am (31) so I'm trying to hold on to my youthful appearance and vigor as long as possible. I've decided to get some other supplements and add them to my regimen just to see how I feel. If I start feeling worse I'm gong to scale back to what I was taking in my first post. This is what I have added as of this weekend. I just take everything in the morning with a protein shake.
4 grams fish oil
2 Life Extension Multivitamin (includes opti-zinc and 2,000iu D3)
630mg Green Tea extract
5,000iu D3
200 mg L-Theanine (1 more before bed if not tired)
2mg Cooper (because of the opti-zinc in the multivitamin)

I'm also taking 2 scoops of Muscle Milk 2 times a day (4 scoops total) on days that I work out (4 days a week)

I have been dosing up on the creatine for the last few weeks.
I suspect it is fucking up my liver or something.... When I go out drinking now, I get drunk in about half the time I normally would.

Is this common knowledge? does anyone else have similar problems?

Uh, the basic routine is all over the internet. You know, I could link to the page where the entire book is available (illegally) for free but I instead put a link to the sales page and told people to buy it and highly endorsed it.

Body of a Spartan is a 100 page book. I listed a routine that is 1/4th of one page and that is available all over the internet.
