In bigger cities such as Chicago, New Years parties (at the clubs) are usually very overrated & overpriced. You'll be fighting to post up at crowded bars (within the clubs) to get a drink often times even if you purchased the open bar package. And if it's easy to get a drink, the party is probably a boring hotel party. Also, the momentum at a lot of these overpriced parties completely dies shortly after midnight & you might find yourself wanting to hightail it to a more after hours lounge, club or bar. At this very moment in time, everyone & their mama will be trying to get a damn cab & it will be hard as hell to get a cab for a while. Cabs can also be difficult to find on New Years in parts of Chicago such as the West Loop since a lot of people are out & it is usually colder than a bitch on New Years. Don't forget that a ton of people will be filtering out of the fireworks at Navy Pier at this time as well & hogging the taxis as well (the Navy Pier fireworks are the closest thing Chicago has to New York's ball drop, but still nowhere near as ridiculous).

As others mentioned, your best bet is to find a house party with a good ratio. Although all popular holidays tend to be amateur nights (including New Years), the two holidays that really stand out IMO in Chicago are St. Patrick's Day & Halloween. The weather can be hit or miss on both of those holidays, but as of late with global warming, St. Patrick's Day has been trending towards the very warm side (it felt like summer last year) & the streets are PACKED. Every bar & club has people and if things go cold you can always go next door or to the next block & keep it moving. Halloween is also frickin' awesome with all the skimpy costumes & people going wild lol.

NYE was a complete disappointment, not that I expected much. Dances around town were dead. I didn't even bother going inside my favorite place when I saw (through a window) a guy in his 30's eagerly accept a dance invitation from a woman who was at least 80.

Ended up having a smoke and watching some fireworks.

I came very close to getting the Swedish flag, but failed. All in all I enjoyed myself and had a pretty sweet night though.

I got laid day before New Year's Eve but no action night of. Did make a good connection through a mutual friend that lead to a decent IT job offer. Just as good.

I hosted a private house party. Rented a sick pad with 5 bedrooms, jacuzzi, 2 open bars, dance floor, and balcony, stocked it with goose and champagne and had it all decked out. I had a production company decorate it with LED lights, threw on my custom mix, and invited a ton of single girls to enjoy the night with me and some of my close friends. I had about 30 girls of every color of the rainbow show and it was a success. Logistics are king, the rest is just connect the dots.

Hey there bean town brother!

I'm heading to the Revere Hotel tonight with 3 friends of mine. We ended up shelling out 55$ for tickets each. I would avoid any venues that are charging.

If you're looking for a good venue, check out the Cantab Lounge in Central. Cheap drinks and last year they had a live band playing music until the ball drop.

I hit up many bars and clubs this year, but this NYE I will just be staying in with a few guys for drinks and poker.

In general the end of this year/transition to next year isn't as much of a celebration to me as much as a reflection of how much progress I made in 2013.

I'll be hitting the clubs again this weekend for my first nights out of 2014. I'm not expecting a large turnout, but it will be fun regardless. I've made night game a part of my lifestyle, so not going out on NYE is not something that bothers me.

Prefer to chill with people close to me. Crashed a high level politicians party once and it was the shit. Didnt game to fly under the radar and did have an awkward moment with a true baller that forced me to eject the scene. Tonight, I ended my year on a high note. Ive grown a lot in the past year and wanted to reflect by staying in but threw a hail mary and scoped two hits on cl, an orgy and a lesbian. Went for the latter. She wasnt the finest but the hamster was strong and i took one for the team as im on no fap. Turns out i was her first guy and she wants a repeat performance with anal. She wanted to be in control so i put her in her place, unexpectedly breaking her bed in the process. Also down to be my wing. I attract heavy squirters and after the rubber came off im overthinking if fluids leaked. Regardless, happy new years folks.

Was making excellent progress with the cousin of a female friend at a house party. Much cheaper than the pub/club scene at £8 for a half price bottle of wine I took along, and a very favourable ratio too. However, I drank too much and lost my frame. Need to learn to recognise my alcohol limit before I hit it.

No cover means more chicks... better chick/dude ratio. Chicks are cheap, they barely want to pay for their own drinks.. they're not going places known to have a cover charge.

I was thinking about hanging out with my homie and his crew for new year. I'm sure it's no different in other cities but this place wants $150+ for tickets and I'm wary shelling out that kinda dough with no guaranteed ROI.
