I guess technically they're mice, but i've set out a few traps with peanut butter and bodied 2 of em. Maybe it's my paranoia, but I still think I hear a few more in the attic.
I know some of y'all live in the sticks, what are some good ways to get rid of em for good?

You and I live in the same city, I've had to deal with rodents once or twice before too.
Most memorable time was when atleast one rat came through a hole in the floor near where the kitchen sink pipe drains. Damned thing looked to be as big as a cat. Set out some D-Con poison, then fixed the floor underneath the kitchen sink. Haven't seen one since.
My best advice = put out some traps and poison bait to kill any current rodents, and figure out how they got in to prevent future pests.

I had mice in my garage. Just did the peanut butter and on the trap and caught 4 of them within a few days. All gone. I just leave a few traps out now just in case.
I also saw a rat outside my house once. My neighbors have a chicken coup so I think they were coming from there. I went and bought some of the big rat traps and set them out WITHOUT bait on one because I didn't want some neighbor dog walking in my yard and getting his face mangled and then one that was hidden more with peanut butter.
About 4 days later I caught a fat rat in one and the other I actually caught a fucking bird. It cut its head right fucking off.

My old house got infested with them. I moved out an just let it sit an there was still some food in there. Went back like 3 months later an it was mouse city bitch.
Got a BB gun and a case of beer an spent the day up there going all John Rambo on them. Then I set some of the sticky traps and poison every few days an within a week they was gone.

I've had good experiences between glue traps and those ultrasound devices that you plug in and leave running.

A rat in my yard won't last an hour before some giant bird or panther or whatever eats it. Have you thought about getting a panther?
My exterminator buddy has some traps that are very clean and easy but I don't remember what he called them ill look or call him.

Rodents abhor the smell of cinnamon. Go to a natural market, or even an upscale supermarket and buy liquid cinnamon extract. Dab cotton balls with the extract and place them around the perimeter of your inside and in radiators. Reapply every couple weeks. Problem solved.
Apologies in advance if you're a professional exterminator. I just cost you some $$$$

3 Rats Down. I don't know how many more are left.
I don't see how exterminators do it.
