One area you'd be neglecting is the Mt. Royal area (Rue Rachel, St. Denis) but that's more hipster than anything else. Probably not your scene.

It's not hipster... it's French lol.
And like I've told Vicious, IMO it's where all the value is.

If you wanna club with some english sluts, I assume going to Toronto would be a very similar experience than going on St-Laurent. There's nothing special about it really, Generic ass clubs, generic ass music, drunk sluts.

All I'm saying is... the reason why Montreal isn't like Toronto... will not be found in he downtown touristic area.

The reason Montreal isn't like Toronto, is that we are French hippies here and have a different culture. It's also the reason people want to come back. Embrace that shit, you won't regret it.

Thanks for all the great work suggestions. I'm to ahalf dozen options on location (much harder than for Tdot).

Regarding pipelining, what's the main online dating site in this region? OKC feels a little deserted for MTL.

Ah, Tinder only works on location sadly.

Never thought of the French as hippies. Perhaps bohemian in style but very sophisticated apart from that. Guess I will have to pack a wardrobe with both high and low end.

The most socialist place in North America. Street style in some areas could resemble what you would find in some Scandinavian countries.
Yes we are hippies, but what I means is that we like cool, new things... we find value in being "hip". We like to innovate, think, fuck openly, debate, talk about sex openly, smoke weed, contemplate, LBGT, think about the ecology...

On St-Laurent you'll find very little of these things.

Yes. Been more than once during F1. Prices are inflated and more importantly the city is flooded with american dudes. It's the best time to not visit.

I'm thinking that someone that can set themselves apart from the standard influx of partygoers/eventseekers has an edge.

If you like extra challenges maybe it's a good weekend to go.

Again, inflated prices and terrible ratios in clubs.

Been here in Montreal for a while now and there are several spots in town that are excellent:

- Plan B - little bar on St. Denis/Mont-Royal, good atmosphere, relatively inexpensive.

- the Lionel-Groulx metro area, specifically Rue Notre Dame Ouest. Several cool spots here and again, less expensive than what you'll find along St.Catherine, Crescent etc.

I'm from Quebec. If you are not Canadian or Quebecois, then you should go in a bit more rural areas and you will have very high chances to get laid. The girls here enjoy foreigners and even for people who can't speak French, it's relatively easy because everybody speaks at least basic English, enough to get laid. Hit the nightlife in smaller cities and you'll get the bang for sure. Montreal sluts see foreigners everyday and there's nothing impressive with that.

Don't even worry about the language barrier. Some people have been living here for years and never learned French.

How far does the quality drop though?

In the U.S., unless it is a college town, getting farther away from a metropolitan city spells a steep drop in quantity and quality.

The quality doesn't drop at all. The girls in smaller cities are often as hot as Montreal chicks, but often a lot easier to get.

But all small town available Quebec women are single moms thanks to their generous welfare state.

That's the downside, the welfare system is too generous and has no limit. You can request a monthly welfare check when you reach 18, even if you're perfectly able to work, and fall on government retirement payments when you turn 65, without ever working. A single mom on welfare system with 1 kid will usually recieve around $800 monthly. Direct deposit, on top of that [Image: wink.gif]

There are as many single moms in Mtl than in other cities, but in nightclub, you are unlikely to find them. You can get 8's and 9's in pretty much any city, but be careful of gold diggers.

Trois-Rivieres, Drummondville, Victoriaville are some of your best bets. You can also try Quebec City but a bit bigger.

I live near Gatineau. The girls there dress slutty and go for black dudes and bro dudes.

I'm more familiar with Ottawa than Gatineau but I'll be sure to check it out whenever I get up there again. I have some friends up there, but none French-speaking, so it would be an intriguing experience I think. My French should be good enough by then.

Mme Lee bar on Ontario...pretty easy to getsomething there. French girls mostly I think but I had two friends who had bathroom sex there. It's not a dirty bar at all also.

I've been in Montreal 3 months since August and the nightlife scene seems like terrible slim pickings if you have even remotely high standards. If high 7s-8s is your wheelhouse you are lucky to see more than a few at the most selective venues and invariably they have an entourage of ugly aggressive cock blocks or a clique.

I've lived in NYC, seven years as an expat across Europe and various South Americans cities, so I've seen the full spectrum. I'll admit I'm picky but even dropping the standards to 6s and 7s it strikes me as a logistical nightmare and total lack of spots at most places. Do I have to hire bodyguards to put the fatties in headlocks to get five minutes with the one cute girl in the bar?

I agree there are plenty of very sexy/attractive women in montreal, the average at bars just seems much worse and less accessible. Maybe I’m donkin it up with my venue selection, but I’ve tried an insane number of places and talked to bartenders/locals and there seems to be a clear pattern emerging.

To name a few: Apt 200, Flyjin, Aubreuvoir, St Sulpice, Mme Lee (real bad) almost everywhere on St. Laurent). Crescent st seems like mad max in the thunder dome levels of bad. I’ve only been to Old Port 4 or 5 nights so maybe I haven’t given it a fair shot, but Flyjin is the most consistently recommended place and the Fridays I went it just seemed to follow the trend and was lackluster for 7+s.

Sorry if I sounded like a hater, I’m just a little frustrated and wondering why no one else seems to notice. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
