Live in NYC. seen lots of transplants and cousin is a plastic surgeon and have seen his work...never saw anyone who was completely bald look anything more than a guy with thinning balding hair after they got the procedures.
Sure a young guy getting a few grafts to add to his thinning hair will look ok but what happens in 10-20 years when it all goes? The average guy has 5k-6k grafts NOT enough for a full set of hair.
But I have seen guys with good hairpieces.they were models and had that GQ look.
As for propecia...lol. You might go get ED and grow tits. And at one point when you get sick or hospitalized and have to go off it..you will lose it all.
Seriously..Hair Transplants are a scam for most people. If you are blonde with very wavy hair you maybe can get away with it. That is why most models and actors don't have transplants and use other methods.
The only good candidate is someone who is 100% bald so the doctor can honestly admit the truth about how to proceed. But for those who are just filling and wasting grafts on the front be prepared to run out of grafts. I can show you people that this happened to.
My cousin tells them that there will be hair cloning in 10 years NOT TO WORRY...he said this for the last 15-17 years lol.

I had no idea that hair transplants were so effective.
That is because they aren't for the majority of people. Plugs is a good name because it is a temp fix, a plug, for one with receding hair and an inadequate solution for most who are 100% bald.
Also they are also lying about back and side hairs. Plenty of guys as they age lose more back/side hair by thinning out and/or hair follicle measurement getting smaller diameter. Don't believe me? Look at old men(women also).
Imagine how worst it looks when you already have hair taken from the area and how the top looks considering that after implants it was sparse to begin with. Now it is even thinner due to thinner hair diameter.
My cousin trained with this guy...Robert M. Bernstein(Bernsteinmedical) He is considered one, if not, the top in the field. You will notice he is bald, right?
I am not saying don't get them. They do have a purpose but you need to research , research , research. Also need to see REAL people and go though the hair , with a comb,NOT just photos. You need their whole story about their age and pattern of loss.
It is also something not to go on the cheap. Lasik is basically the same no matter where you go, despite what others in the other thread say. It is heavily based on the equipment. Most fuck ups is due to patient anatomy.
Transplants are based both on doctor and the quality of the staff, more than equipment.
Going to a 3rd world country can mess you up because once grafts are loss..you wasted them forever. You want a guy who has artistic ability and most likely your same race..due to subjectivity. Go to a Chinese doctor for a nose job and you will get a Chinese looking nose type analogy.
Most of these doctor's lack the artistry. My cousin among them..that is why he doesn't specialize in them. But he can and has done them.
