NPR just published an article on the Drake ghostwriting issue:

Stakes Is High: Drake Ghostwriting Accusations Matter More Than You Think

Not going to post the whole thing because it's fairly long, but...

Quote:Quote:

Drake, on the other hand, is of the now. His incredibly self-referential blend of emotional narcissism and confessional pornography resonates with a generation in which oversharing of mundane observations has become performance art. His ability to present middle class ennui in thug verbiage has a universal adapter quality to it. The words that have come out of his mouth are mantras, memes and retorts fit for just about any and all occasion — there's even an app for that.

I called this didn't I? This is Jay Z vs NAS 2.0. All it was going to do is make his supporters rally behind him just like it did with Jigga. Shit people rallied behind Michael Jackson the same way or more during his child molesting dramas. Popularity matters alot.

Meek even helped Drake but coming back at him like a pussy cat. He couldn't even trash his ass like Nas did to Jigga. If you gonna hate on a dude and hurt your career in the process, at least crush his ass on the way out. Shit.

His full name is Robert Rihmeek Williams so it does make senses.

There are far worse rap names out there than that:

The Tea Bag Boys:

Snow, Vanilla Ice (any white rapper whose name reference his skin color)

Swollen Memberz

Young Black Teenagers

This thread did not age very well at all. Between Macklemore, Frank Ocean, Lil Yachty, Lil B, Young Thug, and God knows how many other ones I do not know about, Drake is a hardened straight rapper.

Likely we may have to toss him into that pile later, but he certainly isn't the softest rapper ever any more.

Is Kendrick gay?

I'll admit I don't care much about his rapping and only know a few of his songs, but he and J Cole are the best conscious rappers for their generation. Both are super blue pill and liberal but I don't think either of them are gay. Are they a little soft? Of course compared to Nas or Jay-Z but they are not 80s or early 90s black kids, they are young millenials and hipsters, what else can you expect from them?

You do realize this isnt Kendrick Lamar's video right?

Its a Taylor Swift song he was added too later. Rappers have been doing guest verses with mainstream pop acts since at least the 90s. The rappers have zero control over what these videos look like outside of the scenes they film.

J. Cole and Kendrick young millenial hipsters?

Huh?

These guys arent modern snot nosed, blue and purple braids wearing early 20s hipster mcs. Both men are in their 30s and rap about their experiences growing up in ghetto America. Neither one attempts to inflate their "gangsterdom", like Jay-z, Nas and most mainstream 90s rappers. If that makes them a "little soft", so be it.

It doesnt sound like you actually listen to their music, which is fine but lets not throw them into the same bag as Drake when they dont warrant it. Kendrick is from Compton USA, Drake is from a nice area in Toronto, Canada. I've visited both cities, Drake has no street cred but wants to sing about "catching bodies" and simultaneously swagger jacks Memphis, The Bay and Houston.

I think Drake did spend significant time in Memphis as a kid visiting his father.

And Drake started out on a shitty Canadian high school drama, but he mostly sings about money and chicks, he doesn't try to act too gangster.

J. Cole is not "super blue pill", a lot of his songs are red pill.

No Role Modelz

[Pre-Chorus]
One time for my L.A. sisters
One time for my L.A. hoes
Lame niggas can't tell the difference
One time for a nigga who know

[Chorus]
Don't save her, she don't wanna be saved (x4)

[Verse 1]
No role models and I'm here right now
No role models to speak of
Searchin' through my memory, my memory, I couldn't find one
Last night I was gettin' my feet rubbed
By the baddest bitch, not Trina but I swear to God
This bitch'll make you call your girl up
And tell her, "Hey, what's good?"
"Sorry I'm never comin' home, I'ma stay for good."
Then hang the phone up and proceed to lay the wood
I came fast like 9-1-1 in white neighborhoods
Ain't got no shame 'bout it
She think I'm spoiled and I'm rich 'cause I can have any bitch
I got defensive and said, "Nah, I was the same without it."

But then I thought back, back to a better me
Before I was a B-list celebrity
Before I started callin' bitches "bitches" so heavily
Back when you could get a platinum plaque without no melody
You wasn't sweatin' me

[Pre-Chorus]

[Chorus]

[Verse 2]
I want a real love, dark skinned Aunt Viv love
That Jada and that Will love
That leave a toothbrush at your crib love
And you ain't gotta wonder whether that's your kid love
Nigga, I don't want no bitch from reality shows
Out-of-touch-with-reality hoes
Out in Hollywood bringin' back five or six hoes
Fuck 'em then we kick 'em to the do'

Nigga, you know how it go
She deserved that, she a bird, it's a bird trap
You think if I didn't rap she would flirt back?
Takin' off her skirt, let her wear my shirt 'fore she leave
I'ma need my shirt back
(nigga, you know how it go)

[Pre-Chorus]

[Chorus]

[Verse 3]
My only regret was too young for Lisa Bonet
My only regret was too young for Nia Long
Now all I'm left with is hoes from reality shows
Hand her a script, the bitch probably couldn't read along
My only regret was too young for Sade Adu
My only regret, could never take Aaliyah home

Now all I'm left with is hoes up in Greystone
With the stale face 'cause they know it's they song
She shallow but the pussy deep (she shallow, she shallow) (x4)

Even if J Cole is a little bit younger than me, he is a hipster bro.

Google pictures of him and tell me that he does not even dress like one. Kendrick is not much better either and he is younger.

Hipsters are their biggest fan base. Not your garden variety street nigga or dude from the hood. Migos is more that speed, especially in the South.

Round here if I ask another black dude if he listens to either one of those cats, I might as well asked him if he smokes out of a bong instead of a blunt.

Politically both are very liberal. Not just because they are anti Trump, but because they are literally no different than Eminem. But hey, I get it. That's how you maintain social proof these days so you can continue to sell records and get your money from Hollywood and the Jewish record industry cabal and feed off Jay Z's leftovers. I get it. Would Nas punk out like that? Nope. A few others would call out black people's bullshit and hypocrisy if they wanted to and would get little to no pushback because at least they are consistent about it. We used to have rappers back in the day plead with the black community to stop the killings, not blame cops or white people. I'm sure a few have said something today, but it's not like it was before. Community was stronger back in the age of hiphop. Now rap is no longer hiphop and peddles victim-mentality and world salad bullshit.

There is nothing cutting edge from these guys. No teeth with rawness. 90s rappers were more loose with their words. DMX has never minced his words in public. Cassidy is another. I could go on and on.

When Future is likely the rawest/guttural rapper alive right now, that's really saying something. Just shows how the trap side of rap took over the real talk side of what is left of hiphop.

J. Cole is not "super blue pill", a lot of his songs are red pill.

No Role Modelz

snip

This is how I know you are not very redpilled, or at all.

Game is not RedPill.

There are tons of dudes on and off this forum in the Manosphere that are redpill and have ZERO fucking game with women, and worst of all have zero knowledge of the woman's imperative.

Lots of people in the world have red pill thinking about maybe one thing in life. My dad is redpill about one thing. He is still blue pill as fuck overall. Honestly if J Cole was lacking in his understanding of females, he would not be very much of a rapper to begin with. It's pretty hard to follow the acts of Pimp C, Too Short, 2 Chainz, Big L, Biggie, late 2 Pac, and too many others to list if your lyrics suggest you are clueless about bitches.

The Alt Right and White Nationalist guys, while somewhat redpill to very redpill, are some of the biggest cucks, hypocrites, and simps the world has ever seen. Their racism is the least of their issues. The redpill they do understand might help them learn game, but it is certainly not a gimme.

The inverse exists too. Understanding women to fuck them or date them is not enough to understand the world around you. To suggest that is contrite and simplistic. Life is far more complex than that. One does not merely smoke a joint to understand these things.

Look at it this way. What Naturals do you know? I know several. All with very high notch counts, can tell you how women act, think, talk, with lucid details. All day long. Can write books on bitches. Where are they now? Baby mommas. Simping. Massive Oneitis on loser females that made them soft.

Check out WestIndianArchie's thread about Naturals. We found that naturals are super prone to this behavior.

Game without the redpill is limited. Very limited.

The RedPill is about the Truth and relentless pursuit of it. Dark and forbidden knowledge. Controversial stuff. Hard truths and the occasional axiom. Paired with game makes you a tough dude to beat...in life.

You are all over the place here.

If you like Future's mumble rap, "La di dad di da" lyrics about selling and consuming drugs and killing people who like like him thats cool, he has "hipster" fans too, just like Eminem and every other rapper you mentioned.

Future is definitely not red pill, look at how he lives his life outside of the recording studio. You brought politics into it, do you think Future is voting conservative or championing right wing causes?
