I think that when we talk about soft vs hard rappers, it isn't about getting shot, Pridemale.

It often ties into how a rapper presents himself and his music.

Drake is the king of those homosexual "confessional" songs that are so indicative of millennials. Oversharing and borderline crying on tracks all the time is straight-up soft shit. He's like that kid from the elementary school days who had effeminate behaviors and you all just knew was a homo.

Now, I know someone is gonna come in here and say "but drake got money!" We aren't talking about that, though. He's soft, this beef with Pusha-T and that weak "adidion" song is also soft. The entire situation is weak. When people were calling this our generation's "ether" I will admit that I got my hopes up, but this shit whack.

Of course, Drake is also the guy that got into a fight with Chris Brown at a club years and years ago and threw thousand dollar bottles of champagne at Chris instead of fighting, so I'm not putting the bar too high for him on the hardness scale.

Writer and academic Eve Ewing wrote, “honestly this isn’t just about drake. people are not asking questions that should be asked. And it’s real easy to watch #SurvivingRKelly and say ‘why didn’t anyone xyz…’ but there’s a lot of folks hooting & hollering in this video.”

This is not the first time Drake has received backlash for his behavior toward young women. This video came out 8 years ago when Drake was 26. I'm not saying it's right by any means but IF he didn't do those little pecks then this would bring up 2 good points.

1. It's getting harder and harder to tell the age of a woman. When I worked security for a 21 and up club, I saw multiple girls from my gym that I KNEW were still in high school. So the power lies in her ability to tell you the truth. Hell, just the other day I was training a kid in basketball and a couple of guys came over and ask what college she went to. SHE WAS 13. I remember being in high school and all the girls ignored us boys to be with college guys. I remember one girl crying because her 24-year-old boyfriend couldn't go to prom with her. Worse yet are the clearly underage women on dating sites and tinder.

2. People find this funny in the right setting and people don't care as much as people say. Even when R kelly sex tape came out of him peeing on a 14-year-old girl, more people found it funny than outrageous. Dave Chappelle said it best

. From what I've heard from family and friends who live in Chicago, everybody knew about R kelly sex cult. Girls lined up to be in it and it seemed everybody was cool and happy with it.

Again I'm not saying its right by any means. However, every week there are new reports of a female teacher having sex with students but nobody talks about how frequent that's becoming. (besides this forum) I'm 25 and I have a hard time trusting 19-year-olds or 21-year-olds. I don't ask for the number unless they say they're at least 23.

I'm sure this post will get me banned but I'm just stating that it's harder to judge drake in this situation. Now the other situations, yeah it's his fault.
