I personally am shooting for leaving IL in winter 2019 or spring 2020. I've done research on North Dakota, Idaho, etc. All we can do is prepare for the worst given how our current President is having a hard time prosecuting criminals like Clinton and Antifa.

I'm still fairly young so just a place where I can set up shop and every month or every other month just fly out somewhere and party. Gender ratio isn't too much of a concern. Only warning is that California influx.

Even though the recent election has never made me so disgraced and sickened by my fellow IL residents, it's a different universe from Cook County and the Peoples Republic of Chicago the further south you go. Throw a dart at any county south of Springfield, and you'd be set. Bonus points if you find somewhere along the Mississippi River, which just has a special aura around it.

Seems like we are in a similar spot playing out in different regions in the world. Here in Spain things really took a dive South when the Soros sponsored Left took over. Major transformation of my city within only six months, so don't underestimate how quickly things can turn from iffy to bad to much much worse.

CO and UT are on the top of my list right now as beyond a political SHTF situation I'm also wary about the coming mini ice age and its implications over the next decade. CO has one major advantage which is that it's pretty easy to jump in a car and head further South should a major environmental catastrophe unfold which may lead to a large number of people freezing and starving to death.

But if gangs of orks are heading North to raid food storages then retrenchment of an organized community in the lower mountains may safe your life. I'm spit balling here as I'm not a gloom and doomster, but since all options are on the table it's worth considering.
