I always find these threads funny. Guys sign up, say they love the forum, long time lurker, need help, promise to update (generally), and then never heard from again. But one of the purposes of the forum is to help men, so even if it is some selfish guy who just wants to take, maybe it helps others.
Every now and then, because for some reason I don't mind searching, I think it might be funny to make a "where did they go thread". But I'd do it for humor, hopefully not coming off like a bitter 40 year old SJW cat woman.
