The average Mexican is at least somewhat politically incorrect when it comes to race, but feminism (an elite movement) is gaining ground and there are do-gooders in the Mexico City government with a definite SJW/feminist agenda.
Here's a public service campaign that is not exactly resonating with the public. Over a million views this week, with many negative comments and more thumbs down than thumbs up. To raise awareness about sexual violence in the metro system, they altered one of the seats to look like a naked man, including his penis, to film the 'reactions' of the passengers.
The hilarious part is that the 'passengers' here are obviously actors and models and bear little resemblance to the actual people who regularly take the metro. Especially non-convincing are the gay guys who look disgusted as they 'accidentally' sit down on the seat.
Women already have two metro cars reserved just for them on each train. And in the steerage cars, they often take up extra space when putting on makeup. No mainspreading going on here but plenty of victimhood posturing by people who don't even take the metro.
