I would have gotten a few advisors, older, reputable - perfect rep. Hell I'd get Jerry Weintraub. That guy seems to be a pretty caring guy, who would tell you like it is. Yes, he has the whole weird family dynamic, but people seem to think highly of him. He dealt with John Denver and Elvis. He dealt with Sinatra. He helped manage those guys, some of them he made big. He had deals go bad, he learned he came back. He is the one of the few guys I aspire to be like. Never met the guy, but he seems to be loved by those he calls friends and someone not to be fucked with. The kind of guy that would go to the mat for you. What really touched me (getting weepy here) in the documentary was when Ellen Barkin was talking. She was having a tough time (no work etc) and out of nowhere he calls. He says (paraphrasing) - I got some good news for you, blah blah. Doesn't tell her she got the part. But lifted her up. She started crying a bit. That moved me.

You take care of your own. That is in my list of ten rules (I don't know if I have 10 rules). No good glad handing others if you don't take care of your own. He had her on his radar and she had no idea. He took care of his own. Much respect.

I don't think he's on the overdose path, if anything, this is a coordinated transition to the next part of his career, wouldn't be surprised if at some point he puts out an album entitled, "Rebirth" or "Redemption".

Celebs like him have handlers, they have him under control, and he's doing exactly what they want him to do; the thing about Hollywood, you're always being entertained.
