My only experience with watching Lindy West was the candycorn oreo thing and while she was fat in that video she was not past the point of no return,.In this current video I would not be surprised if she is has not hit the 300lbs mark. I think she knows what she is doing is complete bullshit but she continues as an attention whore regardless.

This video is another valuable example of someone completely out of her depth. She probably thought going in that a 'dumb comedian' won't be able to better her smart arguments (which she definitely spends days refining before posting on the internet; see how she is unable to improvise or think on her feet, something which Jim is a specialist at).

As I wrote on another thread, feminist's clampdown on male comedians is really an attempt to ban men's freedom of speech while leaving women's intact.

They're doing in the public forum what they've done in the schools, in other words. The reason this is so aggravating isn't because of what it is, but what it represents. In much the way schools invented diagnosis like ADHD to put boys in the backseat, feminists are inventing concept like "rape culture" to stifle's men's speech.

This whole thing is also a means for Lindy West to get famous, so in that sense she's succeeding. What galls me are my liberal friends who champion Frank Zappa going up against the PMRC censors in the 1980s but don't see feminists are the new PMRC.

For all of the interviews and appearances I assume she does, Lindy's lack of media preparation is embarrassing. Granted, Jim Norton is much more polished than most people at this sort of thing (and looks way better than when I last saw him many years ago), but her constant use of verbal crutches and utterances, and her inability to respond to the points being raised, were nightmarish. I've seen better on college and high school television. Looking past her actual speech and to her technique, she did poorly there as well. While you're not always supposed to answer the question you're asked, she did a terrible job of pivoting and controlling the frame.

Her talking points were... her talking points, the same as they've been for as long as she's been writing. Their merits have been debated before. But someone else (nearly anyone else) would have been far more effective than Lindy at delivering them on television.
