My cost per notch in Europe (11 countries)

Quote:Quote:

Roosh, would it have been possible for you to afford the cost per lay for your Europe trip, when you started out 5 years ago in South America?

Yes, but only with shared housing. Even in Scandinavia, I think I could have made it on $1000-1250 a month, which is what I was spending back in South America.

Here is my average rent per month for a centrally located studio or 1-bedroom apartment (usually with internet). The lodgings were average (not luxury).

1. Lithuania - $850
2. Finland - stayed in hotel apartment
3. Poland - $750
4. Croatia - $950 (shockingly high)
5. Iceland - $675 (winter rate)
6. Sweden - $975 (summer rate - higher than average)
7. Denmark - $600 (had one roommate, but great location)
8. Estonia - $620 (great value in Tartu!)
9. Norway - stayed in hotel apartment
10. Latvia - $850
11. Ukraine - $700

The average is $775 a month. This is for short-term rentals. If you're staying long-term and don't care if the apartment is furnished or not, take off at least 33% but usually more. They key is that, except for Denmark, I was living alone. You can find much cheaper for shared apartments.

So only a few hundred dollars diff between cheapest and most expensive.

Is it the same in cost per notch, ie only a few 100 dollars diff.

I say this because if for example I have been put off sweeden on perceived cost but if it is only 225 dollars more expensive than Poland I would go next trip.

We could use some numbers please roosh. Is the range $100 or $1000 or more....

If I take off the outliers, the range is loose, within $500. I don't want to put numbers because it's so dependent on my personal lifestyle and game that it will give guys a bad idea. My numbers will absolutely not correlate to yours. I just wanted to put out my results on investment.

It's all relative to your abilities and mindset. What's is easy to someone of Roosh caliber may be difficult for the average guy. Also very few guys are willing to put in the work that Roosh does. To be good at anything requires practice - constant practice. Your attitude also plays a big part. If you go somewhere thinking it will be difficult it usually will be. I have seen this difference visiting the same country just with a different attitude.

Roosh, those are average prices for furnished rentals in Colombia and Brazil now also. In Brasilia now I am paying 1800 dollars for a 3 bedroom with my brother sharing the cost. In Bucaramanga, Colombia it was about the same for a 3 bedroom. 1 bedrooms usually cost about 900 dollars here in Brasilia and a bit cheaper in the NE by the beach. Only food and transportation are cheaper in South America in general.

OK so can we infer that all in all the price difference between the european countries you visited is pretty negligible?

I have generally found it to be a myth that things are much cheaper in so called poorer countries. The difference is never as much as one hopes or as the hype would suggest.

So for equal life style in sweden or say poland would the range be $500 or did you significantly change your life style between location, live it up in cheap places, being frugal in expensive places narrowing the numerical gap.

The only changes I made was that in Scandinavia I drank less when I went out and limited my taxi use. Generally speaking, I had the same lifestyle in all the locations. I wasn't really slumming it in Scandinavia.

The only things cheaper in poorer countries in general are services and restaurants/clubs.

Expensive clothes=bangs
Most expensive hotel in town=bangs
Show me a 200$ men's haircut and I'll show you my 5 buck haircut in EE.Tell me the difference.Especially if your hair is short,I do not recognize any.I haven't experienced a lot of difference between wearing a 20$ white h&m tshirt and a 150$ dries van noten one.I would say accessories draw more attention. But again, how many girls can make a difference between a classic black belt for 60$ by Diesel and a Mulberry one for 300$?A baller hotel can make a huge difference, but I've fucked pretty rich girls around the nature, without any issues.I can guarantee you they still remember.Sometimes I've paid for dates, sometimes they've paid, sometimes we've switched, again at least with me no correlation between money spent and whether I bang.Maybe we just go for different type of girls and to different places.

Long hair cut in an American salon with highlights and tip. You can fake a belt but not a haircut.

Have had my hair cut in EE, SEA, ME, and the Caribbean. You get what you pay for. And women know hair.

I imagine a lot of the non-european readers would be interested to know how you handled the visa issue. How bad did you get fined when you headed to Ukraine and how did you get home from Croatia without transiting the Schengen zone. If you don't mind, what is your entry status now?

So are we all in general agreement that modern cities are all reasonably closely priced?

This is certainly what I have noticed, people somehow think that in South America or EE you will be living like a king for half the price as in the states or the UK which is never the case, maybe in the past but not now.

I think globalization has equalized the difference in prices that may have existed a few decades ago to a huge degree.

The only super cheap places left I would guess are african cities that no one would want to go too or some SE asian places.

Would love to hear of any very cheap places in south america, colombia and brazil are certainly not what I would call cheap places to visit. Any suggestions?

The Balkans and Ukraine are not in Schengen, so you get a fresh three months when you go there. There have been other Schengen threads where overstays are discussed.

The very cheap countries in Latin/South America are Bolivia, Nicaragua, Guatemala and Ecuador. These are places where you can get decent hotel rooms (Not hostels) for under $9 a night.

But like the saying goes, you get what you pay for. I've been to all of them and none of them have anywhere close to the energy, culture, or hot women of Brasil, Colombia and Argentina.

For example let's say you stay in Kiev. You need at least 60 euro per day for apartment in the centre+30 euro per day taxi expenses+100 euro per day dating expenses(to date three girls in a row as usual you need to pay 50 euro for dinner and 25 euro for cocktails in cafe). For clubbing in the night you need at least 50-100 euro(only the entrance costs 25 euro or even 30 euro at high end clubs). This means a total of 60+100+30+100=300 euro per day.If you spend like this you are likely to have one girl per day.So each girl costs 300 euro.Add to this air ticket expenses(400 euro/7 days) and you have another 60 euro per day spent. So to be more accurate you need 350 euro per lay and in some cases(if you bang only one girl every two days you will spend 700 euro per lay).

Let's say you are in Ukrainian province. There you have to pay 30 euro per day for hotel+10 euro for taxi(or even less distances are minimal and rip off is uncommon in provincial cities)+50 euro per day for dating expenses(everything costs half than Kiev and of course you will not date 3 girls every day since the place is small). So you get to 90 euro per day expenses. You add 60 euro per day for air ticket and you get to 150 euro per day.In province it is very unlikely that you will manage to bang one girl everyday. It is more likely that you will bang one girl every three days.So for each lay you need 150 eurox3=450 euro per day that is more than in Kiev if you are lucky in Kiev(to bang a different girl every night) and less than in Kiev if you are relatively unlucky in Kiev(to bang a different girl every two days).

Then you have Poland. There you can bang a different girl every 4 days.Accomodation costs 30 euro per day(it is cheap in provincial Poland).Dating expenses are minimal since polish girls do not ask for expensive cocktails or sushi. You spend more in the range of 10-15 euro per date. With one date every day you get to 30+15=45 euro per day.Add to this 5 euro entrance for club and 10 euro you will spend on drinks on girls in club. You get to 45+25=60 euro per day spent. With the air tickets which are cheaper for Poland we get to 70+40=100 euro per day spent in Poland which makes it cheaper than Ukraine(one lay will cost 100x4=400 euro).

With all due respect, your maths doesnt apply to most of people on here, actually i dont think this even makes any sense. Who takes girls out for dinners all the time and spends 50 euros on dates? The more you take chicks on dates, the less they will be likely to put out. Financial wise, its just a lot of money to be spent if you are looking to take out every chick you meet for a dinner. You could easily cut costs by buying her alcohol and trying to fuck her.

If you are under 35, look decent, have your logistics in the right place, you are likely to do well in most of cities, you dont reallly need lots of money like some users said on this thread. Unless you are over 45 (and look it) and you are trying to sleep with younger girls then you may need lots of money. If you are young, your money is your age http://www.rooshvforum.network/thread-11453.html

Dont get me wrong, im not on some "i dont need money" mentality, neither im saying that money doesnt help in getting laid but im just saying that you dont need lots of money to fuck a lot.

To me is all about getting the right logistics, right wardrobe, tight game, money to go out, etc..30 thousand dollars per year without a job would do just fine for me as now.

Roosh, you did really well on your apartment prices. I was spending about $30 a day in Kharkov 5 years earlier living close to where you lived and the apt didn't even have internet back then. Prices must not have gone up in Europe over the last 5 years. My guess is you got by cheaper than I did because you were doing less formal dating and were doing more SNLs. Much of the time I had a live in GF, but she was definitely worth the cost. What percent of the time do you cook at home, and what percent are you eating out when you travel. I have a lot of respect for you, because you're a good frugal traveler!

Temujin posted an interesting thread where he stated that money is the determining factor of whether a place is poosy paradise or not. My experience doesn't match that. Here is my cost per notch the past 20 months from cheapest to most expensive:

1. Lithuania
2. Finland
3. Poland
4. Croatia
5. Iceland
6. Sweden
7. Denmark
8. Estonia
9. Norway
10. Latvia
11. Ukraine

You see that it's all over the place, but Scandinavian countries show up well even though it's expensive. Look at Finland at number two and then Ukraine at the bottom. Norway beat it! Why? One reason is that it gets to the point where a country can be so poor that normal women can't go out often. If women can't go out at night and have fun (Colombia is another example), then I will be affected, because only with night game can I plow through a large quantity of women without dating.

Now if your game is about showing off money, then maybe it does make a difference if you have 3x more than the locals, but anyone who has met me knows that besides having good logistics, I don't put that out there. There are many contributing factors to success. Money is just one. It's funny that sometimes happening to live next to a cool bar will be the sole determinant in banging more girls.

Earn your stacks, but picking countries based on GDP numbers alone is not the answer. Poosy paradises requires a delicate balance of many factors that match your game and personality. The only way to find that is to hit a lot of places.

Can you give us the amount of time you spent in each country. I think you mentioned in the special video I got when I bought Bang Poland, but it would be nice to see it hear all in one place. Since you were a scientist, do you think sample size may have had some effect on some of your shorter stays?
!
I'm excited that Lithuania is at the top, because that county is at the top of my list for a future visit! Thanks again for all the great fieldwork!

This thread is making me hate life in L.A. more and more.

I spend $1300 on rent. I spend about $3000/month living here, in an average apartment, to deal with cunts at my local venues.

I too am envious of Roosh. He is spending way less per month than I do in the USA.

Truly believe smart guys in the west will switch to day game quickly. Your cost of going out to a club is what $150 easy a night? Looking for legit chicks.

4 months of that and you just lost out on ~2,500. If you're in LA you can crush it on a Mexico trip with $2.5K.

If your night game is on lock, every single date you get from day game will pretty much end in a bang.

Shit, or you can be a baller in Eastern Europe. Either way the sexual market place at night has priced itself out. You'll save more cash than ever before! You'll also be challenging yourself even more.

Finally I guess in terms of cost per lay, that's a great stat to have but is irrelevant based on income. If you make $200K a year, spending "$40K" chasing girls sounds like a lot but its nothing. Really the question is are you spending more money investing in yourself? If the answer is yes you're moving in the right direction. As soon as you spend more money trying to get chicks than fix your life, it's hard to look in the mirror and say you're making the right decision.

It has nothing to do with Finland being cheap....just that the girls there are easy. I banged 2 different girls in Brazil this last weekend, but so far none this week. So my cost per notch is rising everyday I dont get laid. It is just simple mathematics.
