The UK is a dead man walking - Rome shortly before the total collapse but still going at it thinking that everything is alright enjoying their orgies.
This realisation hit me hard the other day when I was just walking around a town near where I live. The roads and paths were in bad repair, shops were mostly charity shops and those that weren't were boarded up. An old church was closed up, its graveyard all overgrown and uncared for. The library was closed down and 're-located' to within a nearby sports centre?! What sort of civilisation closes its fucking libraries!? This has happened up and down the country, yet we can give away 14 BILLION a year in foreign 'aid'?!
I had a similar thought to your 'dead man walking' analogy; that the UK was basically now 'running on empty' (financially, politically, culturally ...). That we'd died a long time ago and just hadn't realised it yet. The vultures and Hyenas feel emboldened enough to feed on our rotting carcass.
I hate to sound so pessimistic, but I just don't see a lot of hope for the UK (and Western Europe). Brexit was a victory, but I have to admit that my biggest reaction to the result was; 'how the fuck was it so close!!'. Is that really how many cucked people we now have!
I'm approaching a time in my life where I have to decide whether to just 'enjoy the decline' and concentrate on looking after me and mine, or should I throw my lot in with a political party and give it my all for the benefit of everyone else and those who are yet to come?
For a family man, the political option seems like a lot of thankless work just to lose your job, home, wife and kids for and then to be ostracized by your community for the rest of your life.
