I would say I have a decent yet unspectacular body. Not fat, not skinny. Bit of muscle.

I live in Studio City. Same neighborhood that George Clooney and Bruno Mars live in, lol. This isn't exactly Van Nuys or North Hollywood.

Those are my go-to dates, no doubt. They worked time and time again in NYC and Chicago. What gives LA women the right to thumb their nose at the park? It's not like they're any more attractive than the ones in the Midwest and Northeast. Heck, I see vile looking 300 pound women all over the place here, even in hotspots like WeHo and Santa Monica.

About your height, I wasn't saying that your height is definitely a disadvantage. All I'm saying is that at your height your top 10% physique compensates for that and I would imagine the two cancel each other out to an extent. That is just a SMV argument. You could be 5'3'' and have a regular build and still slay in LA or anywhere else if your game was incredible. Very few people are that good in the world though, let alone on this forum. Check out another forum member E Man. He is also a Persian guy and I believe 5'6''. He's only 23 and has broken 100 lays with almost all white girls in a small city in Canada. That's proof from this forum that height isn't entirely a limiting factor.

My SMV situation is actually very similar to yours at the moment. Yes, I'm 6'2'' and I have always been told I am one of the better looking Persians in any city I go to, but at the moment I'm 289 lbs. My height is cancelled to an extent by my lack of fitness. That being said I still get more girls than when I was in great shape because I now have more game and most importantly I approach way more.

I can totally understand you wanting to head out to place other than LA. Hell, why wouldn't someone want to live in a place where you could get laid like a white guy in SEA if possible. All I was saying, which you've seemed to accept, is that it isn't entirely the city that is to blame.

Finally, about being black. The issue you said about being black is something I agree with. A lot of non-black women search for a certain type of black guy, and one of the defining features is height. I wouldn't know from experience, but I also strongly believe through my experience being around black people for the majority of my life that light skinned black guys can more easily fall into the relationship category with other races and really dark skin black guys fall into the love category more often.

About being black and short at the same time, of the places I've been to you won't be better off than in LA unless you want to focus on dating black women. In the South from what I've seen the black guys with stunners of other races most often make me look short, and I'm 6'2''. Plus you aren't a hot commodity in the South because there are so many other black guys. In NYC there are also tons of black guys, but you can develop a niche in Manhattan with certain areas that are predominantly white or other races. That's all I know about the US.

Let me give you some background about me before I answer the rest of your nonsense. I grew up with very strong social anxiety for reasons that don't matter here. Looking back now I could have gotten laid for sure with at least 4 girls before I finished high school, but I didn't pop my cherry until a girl basically approached me when I was 17.

I stayed with that girl until I turned 21. Up until that point, in about 3 years time (I was at the end of 17 when we banged and at the beginning of 21 when we ended things), I can count on one hand the number of girls I approached.

I only starting approaching girls in my last semester in school in LA, so about for 4 months. At first all my goal was was to walk up to a girl in the day and give her a compliment. That let's you know where I was.

In that 4 month time period I went from that level of social anxiety and approach anxiety to the following:

-1 bang with a coworker, probably a 6.5. Her and another coworker basically competed to be with me. Both were LA born and raised.
-1 bang with a skinny but big boobed punk rock type chick that I met on 3rd street SM.
-1 bang with a Japanese student that lived near me. She basically gave me her number, which I'm not sure but don't think is common for Jap girls.
-1 number and plans to meet with a Cologne, Germany born blonde that any sensible person would call a 8.5 at worst. It didn't work out because I left LA within the week because I graduated early.
-TONS of numbers.

Again, this was all after an entire life of crippling social and approach anxiety and within 4 months. Yes, it took me 1.5 years to get in great shape, but I was not approaching that whole time.

That was all in LA, with very little game. Why? Because I developed one part of myself that was enough to make me stand out, my body.

I am sure you don't live in a mansion like Clooney does if he in fact lives in Studio City. Also, you are not one of the most famous actors in the world that can draw women to his place without trying anywhere in the world.

Thanks man. I won't go out of my way to hit malls in LA, but I'll try to work in checking out all the locations you mentioned. I've been to Century City more than a few times and I'm sure it has potential.

Glendale and Newport Beach are going to be out of the picture unless something takes me there as I will be near DTLA.

I've been to Abbot Kinney both in the day and at night. The night scene didn't impress me enough to make the long drive, but the day shows promise if I'm already in the area. I assume it's great for tourists and getting flags.

Hopefully I'll make it to all the places you mentioned in the coming years even if it's just to have a peek around.

I was out on Abbott Kinney today, I heard a lot of Italian and other foreign languages. Tons of women out even though the weather is kinda crappy. The thing is a lot of the cafes there have areas you can just hang out and relax in the back, like the Matcha Cafe, the Tom's shoe store and a few others. You get your drink, you go in the back and its just people hanging out, tons of girls. Its not a great area at night unless its First Friday or you are a local on a weeknight. There are better places.

I was out at the Whaler last night as well after dinner in the area, there were a lot of really high quality young women, again despite the pretty cold/windy/rainy weather. If this is any indication, the summer around Venice (outside of the beach area) is going to be pretty fucking lit this summer. Hell, even the valet girl last night was a cute Brazilian girl who had just moved to LA a week ago. Mind was blown.

Century City is in the middle of a total reconstruction so right now it looks like a war zone. When its done its going to be the premiere mall on the West Coast. Flagship Nordstroms an Eataly, its going to be huge (think Ala Moana Mall in Oahu levels). If you are near downtown, your best bet is probably the Arts District. In the summer there are a ton of people day drinking at the Breweries there. Little Tokyo can be ok at times to but its very hit and miss.

I've always had a special place in my heart for Abbot Kinney. It feels to me like if the hipsters of the world finally got it right, and then went close by the beach. I went there in the day a few times many years ago and got great responses for women, although I didn't actively game. The nightlife seemed to me to be much more bumping years ago, but maybe I went on a couple of particularly good nights.

I went to the bars on Abbot Kinney at night last August with a friend. I did see some hot girls that physically speaking I wouldn't mind LTRing or MLTRing, but the Saturday night I went the street was basically dead. Like walking the entire street or at least the parts where everything is and going into a few bars (I forget if two or three), I didn't even see 20-30 girls.

I am going to be based near DTLA anyways and for several reasons it is impractical to hit SM or Venice on the regular, but if I have a reason to or a lead I will definitely do so. I just like the feel of that part of the city; maybe it's just the weather or something.

Century city I will try to check out as well once it is up and running, but it is also a bit out of my way as you know. I'll report back once I have something more to say about LA when I head out there in the coming months.

1. Is there a "college town/neighborhood" anywhere in the LA area- Orange, Riverside, San Bernadino, LA, Ventura, or Santa Barbara counties in which there is a street of bars right off the college campus where many of the students party consistently?

2. Are any of the bars/clubs featured in the book, The Game still around, such as the place where Mystery got Scott Baio's girlfriend's number or the bar near the house where Mystery, Strauss, Durden, and the other players resided and in which they did so many approaches that the regular girls there eventually learned all the opener routines?

1. Fullerton is probably the best bet, but its still mainly a commuter school I believe and its not like you would expect in a "college town". I think the logistics of it is some of them rented a mansion up the street from there and it was the closest. Outside of the LA Area, Isla Vista in Santa Barbara is supposed to be UCSB Party Central but I've never been there. I hear it gets crazy for Halloween though.

2. The Saddle Ranch on Sunset, mentioned earlier is still around. They filmed the Mystery VH1 show there and that was "ground zero" for all the PUAs. I think they also used to go to The Standard on Sunset. I think a lot of them hit up the Roosevelt Hotel a little later but I was really never into that whole scene.

Closing times don't mean much. In Albany a lot of places close by 2:30 or 3, and the places that do stay open until 4 (like Pearl Street Pub) are pretty bad for game by that point since people start flowing out around 1 if not earlier.

2 AM closing time = nightlife shuts down at 2 AM.

You have an extra 2-3 hours to game every weekend night in NYC, Chicago, Vegas, Miami, New Orleans, and those other tomato can cities I listed. Bars and clubs closing at 2 AM in the 2nd biggest city in America is simply inexcusable.

2-3 hours is pretty significant. You can do an extra 10-15 approaches every Friday and Saturday night. That's an extra 1,000-1,500 approaches a year, assuming you're going out every weekend night. You're missing out on somewhere in the neighborhood of 20-30 lays/years living in Los Mangeles, lol. And I haven't even factored in the horrific logistics, horrid ratios, or the fact LA has the flakiest women in North America bar none. Every factor is against the straight male in Los Mangeles.

But, hey...there is some thweet rock climbing!

The solution is to go out 2 hours earlier then. People go out early in LA. On the weekends, people are drinking from noon. Ratios are mostly women at venues before 10pm. It's just a matter of adjusting to the environment.

In N.Y. or Chicago it was weird to go out at midnight. I do like late closing times though but usually those just end up being more time to get totally wasted.

In Vegas you have to seal the deal by 2am or it starts being an uphill battle anyway.

But yeah, LA is pretty bad nightlife and women wise for a big city. I'll give you that. It's not the worst though, many other mainly west coast cities are worse.
