You guys hoping for Brexit are going to be upset come Friday morning. There is too little to sway the average person apart from economics and migration and those two issues are easily mis-understood.

Can't say I actually expect the EU & No. 10 to abide by the publics choice.
Whether it's obfuscation, manufactured crisis & so forth, I doubt #Leave will win in the long run.
Hell for all we know, the EU & No. 10 may want #Leave to 'work' at first,
so they can generate some other crisis or scheme to further some other nefarious plot.

This is a very good logical position from the Left on the EU. This EU (conceived by the US not Europeans) as a well structured imperialist force needs to be broken down.

The EU triggered the Yugoslav Civil War: Contrary to the myth that the EU has preserved peace in Europe since WW2, the rapid recognition of Slovenia and Croatia as independent states, separate from the former Yugoslavia, played a decisive role in upsetting a delicate diplomatic situation in 1992 and ultimately plunging the region into the worst conflict the continent has known since 1945.
Add in Libya and Syria which triggered the refugee crisis and of course Ukraine.

In the wake of the Ukraine crisis above (triggered by the EU) Jean Claude Juncker,Commission President stated:
With its own army, Europe could react more credibly to the threat to peace in a member state or in a neighbouring state. One wouldn't have a European army to deploy it immediately. But a common European army would convey a clear message to Russia that we are serious about defending our European values.
Time to slay this monster. Vote #Brexit

...Democracy, which is clearly under threat from the EU. Junker et al have awarded themselves staggering powers to undermine democratically elected governments. Jean Claude Juncker has made it clear, recently (concerning the Austrian vote) that any country which elects a right of centre populist party will lose their voting rights in the EU...
With leftists its clear they mean "democracy for me, and not for thee". Democracy is great when people vote the way they want, but as soon as they don't, it's "populism" and "ignorant masses being whipped up by demagoguery and (fill in the blank) -phobia."
If only you knew how bad things really are.

I wonder if the Queen would step in if Number 10 refused to honour the result of the referendum if 'leave' got a majority? It would be a bit of a constitutional crisis, but she would have every right to do so.

I'm surprised the polls are showing it so close. My anecdotal findings from asking around family, friends and work colleagues is about 90% Remain v 10% Leave.
I've tried persuading some waverers to switch to Leave and have failed.
I'm predicting a comfortable victory for Remain (~ 60:40).

But people voting to leave are more invested in the cause and more likely to cast their vote despite the weather. And don't forget about the turnout. This violent electrical storm that erupted on Britain is fitting like if it was the outward manifestation of the storm that is raging inside of it, to finally be free of the nightmarish claws of the EU.
None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.

Generally, bad weather favors right wing voters. The reason for this is interestingly enough rarely stated but Obvious to any RVFer who's dealt with these people.

Just voted, for all the good I think it will do.
I would be astonished if anyone abstains from voting due to the weather. It's not due to be bad today and this issue is far too big to let a downpour put anyone off.

I'll be staying up tonight following the election from Swedish soil. Hoping for UK independence.
If the statistical predictions mentioned above are true and cuckish Remainers refrain from voting due to the bloody weather, then the gods are truly with us.
Wishing a victorious referendum day for our UK brothers.
Tack så mycket!

Excuse the copy and paste from my post in the EMC thread. If you frequent it already you can skip it as I've added nothing.
So as a native brit today is supposed to be a really important day. A Swedish ex FWB who is also Jewish and left leaning, pro-socialism etc (go figure) asked me if I would choose remain or leave.
I'll omit the details, but essentially I told her that while it has an element of Sadism, I would like to leave simply on the basis that sometimes it's good to have a change from the status quo and see what results from it.
And that I can rest easy in having this sadistic mindset because nothing will happen. Either there will be a majority remain, or someone in the background will ensure there is a majority vote when the stats are published. That's how much faith I have in the system.
Let's see how farcical the result and the inevitable fallout becomes.
And by the way, she insisted that the only ones voting leave were racists. And used the fact that lower class + upper-class demographic as being majority Leavers to certify that claim.
My response was simply "considering the middle-class are mostly left-leaning (I omitted SJW's) it's no surprise that demographic is the one choosing Remain.
There was no point in debating why lower classes and upper classes are not immediately racist and also that voting Leave is not racist. We already debated about Trump and that went nowhere.
