Between people like this and obesity, I've come to the conclusion that our bodies and minds have evolved in a way to interact with external environmental pressures (scarcity, war, etc.). So to put it shortly, and not to sound pseudo macho, but the only way these things go away is when these environmental pressures (a.k.a. Reality outside the concrete jungle) can have their influence. In terms of the 'civilized' world, I don't think there is a counterattack. Civilization is as much physically artificial as it is socially artificial.

It's hard to say where all this will lead.

Whatever happened to the presumption of innocence? That is one of the pillars of American law. Thought it has always been "Innocent until proven guilty," not "Guilty until proven innocent." The Dark Ages lasted how long? And yet we have world changing tech, medical care and thinking of going to Mars within a decade, another planet!

Hell surgeons are proposing an actual head transplant in the near future. Millions of peasants can make ocean journeys and movements across land mass in a month which would normally take years and wipe out a good number of them normally.

It didn't take down Rolling Stone, and they can easily absorb the cost of that lawsuit.

It didn't take down any of the Feminists who backed it.

It didn't take down any the academics involved.

It didn't weaken the 'rape culture' narrative at all: SJW's just doubled-down.

The writer never directly apologised for lying, she just shifted blame.

Rolling Stone never apologised for allowing the lies an audience, they just shifted blame.

The girl in question never apologised for lying, and no-one involved, (politicians, journalists, or police), described her with the 'L' word.

The majority of women I know still bring the case up as a real event, not a hoax.

As I said earlier, presenting facts and evidence against a strong religious belief do nothing.

If you feel empowered by the Manosphere's role in taking down Rubin-Erdely for promoting a false narrative based upon what she wanted to see, then if we presume all narratives will play out this way, we're just as guilty as she is.

The social norms of women are always in flux.
