Mizzouri's football players ( at least many of them ) and coaches have said they're going to sit out, effectively strike, all games going forward until the university president resigns due to some alleged unresolved incidents on campus regarding racial slurs.

I can't really take anything a college student says these days seriously. They are so desperate to be the star of their own "struggle against all odds" movie they don't see how they really get fucked: student loans, "career" advisers peddling dipshit degrees and an economy increasingly stacked against the average person.

I have no doubt that racism exists on campus -- are the examples cited in the article really all they have? -- but safe, feel-good protests like these allow the system they claim to hate so much rumble on, completely undisturbed.

I read that someone put up a swastika made of human shit. It's well known that anytime one of these outrageous things happens and gets blown up in the media, it was a SJW that did it to attract attention.

As for this college president, he already made the mistake of apologizing as a response to this faked outrage. I guess there is some student that is doing a hunger strike over this. The president ought to go on TV eating a delicious, juicy, hamburger, loaded with all the trimmings on a premium bun.

As for the striking football students, he ought to ignore them long enough for them to miss a couple of games, and do irreparable damage to all of their careers. My own alma mater is going through tough times as well. Some RAs were offended that a cop insinuated that active shooters are people of color or muslim. Eventually student government voted for no confidence against the president. When asked, most students couldn't care less and were busy studying, partying, and doing what college kids do best.

Let me clarify here: the option to walk away is always there.

I'll simplify things a bit. Let's take the racial element out of this.

Someone aggressively verbally accosts you. You:

1) Walk away
2) Escalate physically with threats of violence (or outright pre-emptively attack)
3) Complain to the powers-that-be about microaggressions and the need for safe spaces and sensitivity training

Number 3 on that list should not be an option.

It's more than that though. Let's be honest, these football players probably aren't the brightest bunch. On top of that, they're too busy with football and school to pay attention to everything that's going on. Therefore the reason they're all protesting is because they've been brow-beaten into adopting the outrageous group-think on this subject.

Can you imagine if one out of the dozens of black football players said 'Guys, this is really stupid. Let's just play football.' He'd be ostracized. This event is just a microcosm of the larger cultural Marxist trend.

Also, I think it's inevitable that more of these situations are to come. SJW's just have too much power. Think about the President in this situation. You have students protesting, going on hunger strikes. Your football team going on strike. How are you supposed to deal with that without capitulating? Also important to note that 'opportunity' can be snatched away at a moment's notice should a player be injured. Schools can choose to not renew your scholarship for bad play/injuries or just not fitting into a coach's system.
