I'm curious to know what are y'all's thoughts on the ideas presented in the video.

I'm not at all. I believe that kind of conflict took up a pretty limited proportion of time in our evolution; being skilled at cooperation is much more valuable in most tribal settings. Probably someone who's funny has more utility than a skilled fighter, but it's important to differentiate skill as a fighter from skill as a hunter-- they overlap but they're two different things.

Perhaps, but might that cooperation be extended only to other members of the tribal group? Unit cohesiveness is a valuable combat asset.
