I'm still not sure about Russia..I think its more of a case by case thing.
(As a Black man) Ive tried to talk to russians on different trips around the world...some were friendly, some did come off as racist.
But one of my best friends is russian( His family is like "off the boat" Both parents barely speak understandable english) and for whatever they love me. Always inviting me over to meet whatever family and/or hot cousin..
The only thing i could think of for the reason they like me..is because one day after playing COD, I memorized the 3 stanza of the soviet national anthem..and recited it while his parents were around. in both english and russian.
Maybe its a language barrier thing..He absolutely hates that i ask his family how their day was..or say please and thanks you in their language.
But him mom..and the rest of his family love it.

I _still_ haven't been to Russia. But I've been to three Russian speaking countries since :
If you already know another slavic language, you can pickup survival russian easily by just studying a few hours. But if all you know is english and/or some romance language, it's gonna be a hard one to crack. A totally new vocabulary makes it harder to form mnemonics, then once you're able to produce complete sentences you'll have to deal with noun-cases (which I always ignore).

I haven't been to Russia but I have some family in other Eastern European countries and have spent enough time around Russians here and abroad to have a decent idea of their basic outlooks in a few areas.
A few points I picked up on are....
1. Sex is generaly more open, atleast to discuss. It's just viewed more mechanically though. Almost like the Nude beaches in Europe, you don't see people gettig wood and fornicating in the sand, you see old people and some young laying and reading. They see it as a "healthy" release. Example, if you asked a Rusian girl you are sort of friends with, if she would have sex with you, you wouldn't get an ashamed or angry American girl response, nor would you get a slutty American girl response..you would end up most often with a dry and cold "Yes it is possible you not bad looking.." Its strange but true. That is not an opener but something you would mention to a girl you have known for a day or two.
2. Russian dudes are ok, they party allot and don't put their women on a pedastle like too many Western men do. They are a bit more heavy handed with the chicks too if you know what I mean.
3. The Racism thing is very strong in Russia right now. They basically call all people of middle Eastern areas black. They also call all africans and afro - Americans, obviously.. black. I know that most of the Russians I have met, do not really like the company of black people. Just my observation.
*Roosh might be correct about the Russian hottie that comes to DC or LA and sees it as "multi-cultural" or wants to be like a girl in a rap video. Also I have noticed many Russian girls are opportunists. They see what they perceive as $$$$$ ie. Lexus, Gold, nice clothes and they see an opportunity to status whore and be arm candy regardless of the dudes Race. I still think that is more common than the Russian that just wants to "bang" a black guy.

I would also like to add that Russia is VERY unfriendly towards someone who is not speaking Russian. I just visited Moscow for a few days, and it is basically still the same. Very few signs are duplicated in English. Outside Moscow and St. Petersburg pretty much none of the signs is. It is very difficult for a foreigner to navigate in Moscow subway as well, starting from cashiers selling tickets who're typically ladies in their 70s and do not speak anything but Russian, and station names announced in a way which makes it extremely hard for a foreigner to understand which station he is on. Only few trains have visual aid, but it is also in Russian. Your best bet would be to ask a nearest nice looking young lady for help, they typically speak some English and it is very against the culture not to help someone who asks for it. It was also +30C (~90F) on Sun, making it kinda uncomfortable.

Ok, I thought I'd weight in here.
I've traveled all across Russia and Siberia.
To be honest, it's one of my least favorite countries. That said, Siberia/ lake Baikal is wonderful.
A few things you need to know about the girls:
Women in Moscow are some of the most unfriendly I've ever encountered but St. Petersburg & Siberia are different ball games.
A little bit of Russian goes a long way!
Bottom Line:
Russian chicks are ridiculously sexy, if you want to hook up : Fuck the nightlife and GET ONLINE! Mail.ru , vkontakte.ru (Russian Facebook), myspace... there are tons of gorgeous girl looking to meet up. Really, they are painfully good-looking.

Friend of a friend, dark-skinned Jewish guy, got beaten within an inch of his life in the streets of Moscow one night... the racism concern is legit.
Another friend of mine, an older guy who's been practically everywhere in the world and has literally picked up in every remotely civilized country said that Moscow nightlife is hands down the hardest to successfully pick up in the world. He told me, "If you can pull in Moscow, you can pull anywhere." He also had a couple stories about Italian guys getting the shit kicked out of them for opening the wrong girls...
Personally, I'm planning to spend some time in St. Petersburg this Sept/Oct. Learning some basic Russian first. I'm white, so should be fun.

Let me put in a word or two as someone who's banged 20+ Russian girls (although I have not been to Russia).
As everyone has noticed, they are HOT. Also, they are very good in bed, in a feminine kind of way - you may not hear them shouting "fuck me" like an american slut might do, but they WILL moan and move and give signs of enjoying it, which makes you enjoy it that much more, too. Submissive, like to be dominated.
What has worked for me was to target girls younger than myself (by 5+ years) and lower social status. Like exchange students, hairdressers, grocery clerks, etc. That way I (early 30's middle class Caucasian guy) seemed in a way more socially dominant position, making them willing to submit. Also, I speak decent Russian, and am 6 ft tall and athletic. This has been enough for me to consistently get Russian girls.
Where to find them - two main places: in your (large) U.S. city in the summertime as work-and-travel students, and in resorts in Bulgaria/Turkey/Egypt/Tunisia, which are the most popular foreign vacation spots for Russians. The latter is even too easy, just make sure you go to a 300+ room resort-style hotel so there would be enough talent (should be 10+ russian girls in any such hotel in summertime) - if you have the attributes above and there aren't too many other single dudes, then by the 3rd day or so they would be begging for it themselves.
So it may not be worth it to go to Russia, I also hear it's very expensive, and it may be hit-or-miss at the clubs. Also, in Russia young girls live with their parents mostly, or have to be at work/school next day, so logistics may be difficult. Much easier if they are traveling.

Time for a bump.
Some time around feb / march I might be making my first trip to Russia
I will have an ex girlfriend tagging along but if she does not want to bang me then I will have no hesitation in telling her to do her own thing while I go out and meet up with chicks that I meet online.

Cities which are the hidden gems of Russian that I should check out?
Day gaming and gaming in clubs will not really be optimal for me as I don't speak russian I guess and moscow is expensive.

What really kills me is when non-black dudes say that Russian women have told them they are not into black dudes. As if they would tell the truth. lol
I have the flag for Russia and Ukraine, I won't go into details.
A good Nigerian friend spent ten years in Russia(Moscow) and banged some serious chicks (pics to prove). His ex gf was smoking and he even had girls on the side, that knew about her. I wonder if the world cup is going to help fix this racism/neo nazi thing at all. I doubt any real change can happen unless the government systematically weeds out unruly elements.
It'll be interesting to see how the neo-nazis react to this world cup bid. On one hand, they will want to promote their country. On the other hand, mother Russia will be infected with all sorts of "impure people."
