A bit about the travelers:

My cousin and I are thinking of heading there for 5 nights between aug 31 - sept 4. We’re 6’2 and 6’1 respectively, mid 30’s and Italian decent (dark, olive skin etc), we’re in good shape and are half decent looking chaps (say 7-7.5’s), but we’re by no means adonises. Have reasonable game now with me being a daygamer and him being a nightgamer.

I’m wondering if some of your seasoned folk could advise on a few things:

1. Is it generally a good time to go to Lisbon or is there a better place to go that’s not too far away in Portugal?

2. If Lisbon is in fact a go, we’ll be air BnB’ing it. Where is a good place to stay that is going to be in walking distance from bars / clubs?

3. Best area for tail 20-25 yo tail? We do mind clubs, but we’re more into bars, or clubs where you can have a conversation and some banter.

1. It's still a good time to go, it's still summer don't worry. Might not the peak of the summer but still worth it as most locals will be back from their vacations probably and many international students are incoming
2.The closest you can get from pink street and bairro alto (meaning downtown area). Halfway from those two would be perfect and you'd also be close or a cheap uber to anything that's interesting in lisbon.
3. Once again, pink street and bairro alto are the main bar areas where people are drinking on the streets and you can approach like hell. You are going to have women older than 25 but there will no be no shortage of your age preference. There's one club which you can't walk from there and worth to go that is called Lux. It's my favourite disco in Lisbon

Do you guys think that a reasonably attractive ginger can have "exotic factor" in Lisbon? I was thinking of leaving Poland and relocating to a country where I look different from local guys and where there are more girls in vacation-mode, even if the quality is lower than EE overall

i dont see why not. If you're reasonably good looking, got some game, in ok/decent shape and have the right mindset, give it a crack! I would definitely go. RVFers are all going to have different experiences and different accounts of a given city, you should go try it out for yourself and see what happens.

There is no such thing as "exotic factor" with the Portuguese locals. But nowadays plenty of expat and tourist pussy around. Give it a try.

In terms of accom, I'd be keen to stay somewhere thats walking distance (stumbling distance) from a cluster of cool bars. The aspect of my game i want to have down is the organisation of logistics. For me, logistics takes away so much of the work. I'd like the ability to meet a girl, and at some point be able to say 'hey, lets grab a quick drink at my apartment / need to change shirts quickly / come check out my view etc, then we'll head back downstairs'.

1. Do you recommend me staying in an apartment, hotel or guesthouse?
2. What would be the best street(s) to stay on? (Ive attached a map of bairro alto)

Anyone can chime in if they've got some insight into this. Thanks!!

True story, urban equals slut fest but watch out for minors, you'd be impressed.
Regarding accomodation, urban is not the best place as it in a non residential part on the river bank. You have the train track that you have to cross and then you have an area called Santos which is interesting and nice but I wouldn't stay there as a tourist. Plus, urban is like 10 min walking at a normal pace from pink street so I'd rather stay there

I'd say any street on the orange area is great, there are really no streets better than the other one as you can cross bairro alto in 10 minutes max. The more in the middle the better perhaps, but I'm not an expert on bairro alto, as I spend more time in cais do sodre area. I'd avoid the south part of rua diario de noticias as it has gay bars and they can be annoying.

ok, good to know. So after doing some research i understand that people go down to Cais do Sodré after they leave Bairro Alto. if that is the case, i wouldnt mind looking for accom near there. Is it pink street that that i want stay on? or is there a better spot in Cais do Sodré for accom? thanks again fellas!

I would stay in Rua de S. Paulo. It's "quieter".

Walking distance from Pink Street and you might even get some sleep.

Yeah...also agree regarding Rua S.Paulo at Cais Sodre.
