We read this interesting paper in class from stats canada.
http://www.statcan.gc.ca/pub/11-008-x/2010001/article/11143-eng.htm
This refers to long term common law unions or marriages.
One table struck me as interesting- http://www.statcan.gc.ca/pub/11-008-x/20...01-eng.htm
So 28 percent of Flipino women are in a mixed union compared with 9 percent of the men. This effectively means 19 percent of Flipino men don't have a marriage partner.
Same with Korean, Japanese, and Southeast Asian men.
Black and Arab/West Asian men are in mixed unions at a far higher rate than their women.
