There's no way this woman felt any legitimate type of harassment or threat from this kid. She's probably projecting her man issues on this 9-year old, because he's a male that she has arbitrary authority over. There's probably going to be more of this sort of thing in the future.

I know kids pass little love notes in class, things like, "do you like me?" Are kids going to get run out for "harassing" their classmates now? It's twisted adults that pervert the most innocent, normal things that children do. Now if this boy had called his teacher pretty, would that have been as inappropriate as the word cute? Or is this 9 year old being punished for acknowledging looks period? It seems like they're applying the workplace standard of sexual harassment, in that ANY comment regarding a woman's looks can be construed as inappropriate, and creating a hostile environment. It's ridiculous that we even have to try to break this down...

I work around schools, and I heard from one of the kids that a gay teacher was telling some 9-yr old boys that I'm "hot".

Fucking fag teachers can talk about guys, and it's okay, but call a woman cute and you'll have your life ruined.

Heh, I'm glad I was a kid when this zero tolerance crap hadn't gotten into full swing.

I'm assuming convincing most of my 3rd grade class that it'd be fun to go to the far end of the playground and reenact a medieval battle by beating each other with sticks would result in some mandatory counseling sessions.
