I've been dealing with the owner of Kherson Girls, she's a friend of a friend. Forget about using the website, plan a trip to Kherson to work with her in person. Much cheaper than the romance tours and she does really care. I'm having way more success than I ever did with Dream Connections for way less money. But you've got to get off your ass and show up in Ukraine.

Does anyone have any experience attending the Russian Orthodox churches in america?

Are they helpful for american men who want to meet and marry russian girls?

A friend of mine is Orthodox and he just married a Ukrainian woman. I think they had already gotten close by the time being Orthodox came up.

cool, so he is also ethnic ukrainian or did he just convert? Was his church helpful at all in helping him meet women, or was his only option the dream connections? Were there any singles events or youth groups at his church, or parents helping their daughters/cousins find husbands?

I think he converted a long time ago. His church wasn't helpful, but they were supportive. He is in his 50s, so youth groups weren't any help. As far as I know, he's the only person on the tour who wound up getting married. Some of the other guys are less than thrilled about the way the tour went.

wow, interesting, thanks for the info. Was he looking for a wife under 30 or an older woman in her 40/50's? Does he live near a big city? I wonder if the Russians in brighton beach (NYC) ever set up matchmaking with ukranian women. I've met a couple of hot russian girls on the subway when I was visiting New Jersey and she was going to rutgers. Is it really worthwhile to visit Ukraine, it sounds dangerous and poor? I would think it would be more fun to holiday in Prague, Poland, or Russian vacation spots like Hersonissos, Crete.

He wasn't looking for a much younger wife and he met a very nice woman. As far as getting introductions from various communities, I have no idea.

As far as Ukraine being dangerous, away from the trouble spots, it is safer than many parts of the US. And the "poor" part is very overblown. It is an inexpensive place to spend time in, but not as happening as Prague. I'm considering it as a place to retire to.
