I visited Dallas for a long weekend in March. Shout out to Brosemite for being such a gracious host! I also met FullthrottleTX, another cool guy I recommend to meet. I can vouch for both of these guys!
General Description
The Metroplex actually consists of 2 cities: Dallas and Fort Worth. Dallas can be compared to Atlanta while Fort Worth to Indianapolis or Kansas City in terms of size and economic stature had they been say, 100 or more miles apart. Dallas Fort Worth International Airport lies right in the middle and suburbs on both sides have fully grown into each other. Do keep in mind it is almost 1 hour to drive from Dallas to Fort Worth so for the purposes of living and game, they are separate cities. Southwest and a few Alaska and Delta flights also fly out of Dallas Love Field near Oak Lawn.
I'll generally compare Dallas to Atlanta and Nashville on this thread, as these are the only 2 American cities I'd say I'm familiar with.
Dallas and Collin Counties
Dallas is a sprawled out city. There’s walkable pockets (Legacy in Plano, Uptown etc.), but to be able to enjoy this city fully, a car is required. Doubly so if you plan to live in this city. Uber can be expensive due to the sheer distances in this city, and avoid the DART, which is slow, unreliable, and transports a lot of homeless people.
While the suburban density is higher than Atlanta, the “cool” spots are also much less concentrated. For example, Legacy to Uptown is over 10 miles apart, but both are cool, young, yuppie areas. Atlanta and especially Nashville is more concentrated.
Also keep in mind that Dallas is not really a southern city. So if you want southern belles, most Dallas white girls aren’t quite what you’d be looking for. There are however, a lot of wealthy hot girls from Arkansas, North Louisiana, and East Texas who fit the southern girl stereotype. A surprising amount of girls are from Mobile, AL too. The average Dallas upper middle class white girl look just as good as southern belles, and a lot have more interesting personalities too. Lots of them are from SoCal and the Midwest. However, once assimilated into Dallas, the former become more down to earth while the latter start dressing stylishly.
In terms of cultural and racial diversity, Dallas overall is similar to Atlanta in terms of numbers, but Dallas does feel noticeably whiter. Most of the "cool" spots will be majority, usually mostly, white. However, what strikes me about Dallas the most is its cohesiveness. Minorities tend to be much more integrated into the city’s fabric than Atlanta, even though their overall presence feels a lot less than Atlanta. Uptown feels almost 100% white for example, and there are not many Atlanta neighborhoods where I can say about that. On the other hand, Atlanta’s different cliques/races/cultures live in essentially alternate universes while frequenting the same cool spots.
Fort Worth
Fort Worth seems much more Texan. Unlike Dallas, I hear Texan accents rather often from people living in Fort Worth. The only part of Fort Worth I visited was the Stockyards during the day. It was very touristy, feels like a not as great, Southwestern/cowboy themed version of Lower Broadway in Nashville. At night the vibe may be very different. This place is worth checking out once if you haven’t been. I didn’t get a chance to go to Downtown Fort Worth or West 7th, but I heard both can be decent. Do keep in mind that Fort Worth, had it been a standalone city, would be equivalent to say, an Indianapolis. I didn't run any nightgame here and was there for only half a day, so I can't say much.
Dallas Neighborhoods
Uptown: Highly recommended. It’s very walkable. Foot traffic is about the same as Midtown Atlanta, but there are no homeless, feels very safe, and most people walking around are white yuppies, skewing towards female. The scale of this place is just much bigger than anywhere in Nashville. Foot traffic is the highest weekdays right after work, and weekend afternoons. Bangable 6s, 7s, and even 8s galore, but do keep in mind they are almost all-white. Try to be as close to McKinney Ave as possible for daygame, especially near West Village. The most popular bars in Dallas tend to be in this area. If not, the rest tend to be on Henderson Avenue or Deep Ellum.
Katy Trail: Quite a few girls work out on this trail, which runs through Uptown. Keep in mind that unlike the Beltline in Atlanta which consists mostly of people walking between the bars, restaurants, and condos that line it, the Katy Trail is a strictly recreational trail. So daygame appropriately here.
Plano: Legacy West and Legacy Town Center out in Plano are daygammable. Legacy West seems more upscale, but Legacy Town Center may have more foot traffic. In terms of quality, it is similar to Uptown, keep in mind it is about as young and dolled up as Uptown girls, just with a slightly different vibe.
Knox-Henderson: Didn’t spend that much time here. I only passed through Henderson Avenue and stopped by Knox Avenue for food at a high end brunch place, which did have a decent amount of hotties. I number closed a hot blonde Arkansas girl with a thick accent there. Lots of bars on Henderson Avenue but didn’t go to any of them.
Highland Park: It’s very high end. There are a couple of upscale bars there. Extremely high quality of girls dressed to the nines, but game is not for the faint of heart. Its important to have a high threshold of pain gaming there, not necessarily impeccable game. I did number close there, but that was followed by one of the harshest cockblocks I’ve ever experienced.
Downtown: Spent only half a night here with FullThrottleTX and Brosemite. I didn’t like it that much. The amount of homeless, while not as bad as Atlanta, reminds me much more of Atlanta than Dallas. Overall, safety feels somewhere in between Downtown and Midtown Atlanta at night. This is a decent area if you want cheaper condos and party often in Deep Ellum.
Deep Ellum: Didn’t go, mostly hipsters. I’m not a hipster, not interested. Might be good if you are a hipster, or like hipster girls.
North Oak Cliff: Swung by here for maybe an hour or so. Rapidly gentrifying, so likely majority hipster.
Oak Lawn: Not very walkable, and too close to Love Field runways for my liking. Heard its very gay too.
Turtle Creek: A small neighborhood right between Uptown and Oak Lawn. Its very nice, quiet, and secluded so daygame can’t really be done there. Great place to live if you want to be very close to hotspots yet not a fan of noise. There are a couple of high end bars hidden in the boutique hotels, but for nightgame, see my description of Highland Park.
Addison: Very sprawled out, but density is high with lots of condos, and it seems to be the geographic center of the Dallas side of the Metroplex. Not much gaming opportunities. I've heard the bars can have a rather townie, meathead, douchey mentality. The Galleria however, is a great mall to daygame milfs on weekdays.
Things to do
Catch a Dallas Stars game. While you would think hockey games are sausagefests, a surprising amount of hot white girls go to Dallas Stars games. Decent game opportunities during breaks in between periods.
Grab food or a drink in Legacy Hall. Lots of hotties there of all flavors, but overwhelming majority is white. Decent game opportunities. Could be a goldmine weekend nights, when there is live music.
Swing by Eatzi’s, which is a deli/grocery store. I recommend the location in Oak Lawn, but they do have multiple locations. Most people carry their food to-go, but there’s a few spots to eat inside too. Quite a few hot girls there.
Katy Trail Ice House should have decent BBQ. But I've heard reports of this being a cliquish scene.
The girls
If you want an all-American white girl, Dallas is a great city for that. Compared to Nashville, the number of 8+ bombshells fall short, but the obesity is noticeably lower in Dallas. The density of white girls is on par with Nashville. The girls are a lot meaner of course, but once you break that snobbish, pretentious front, its much easier. Non-hipster hot girls in Nashville tend to be very southern, while Dallas ones are generally not.
Dallas has a similar amount of 8+ bombshells as Atlanta, but 6-7.5 white girls are much more ubiquitous in Dallas. Obesity rate in Dallas is a bit lower than in Atlanta. Girls’ attitudes can be meaner than Atlanta when you approach them. But once you get past that, its easier to game a Dallas girl than an Atlanta girl. Hot white girls in Atlanta tend to stay in their post-SEC cliques, which they do so until they marry (usually a fraternity guy from the same SEC school they went to) and move deep into the suburbs. Girls in Dallas don’t stick as much to their sorority cliques. Again, hot preppy white girls in Atlanta tend to skew southern, not as much as Nashville, but more so than Dallas.
If you want foreign girls, Dallas falls short. Go to NYC, LA, and Miami for that. Even DC is likely way better for foreign girls.
Dallas is a rather snobbish, pretentious city. More so than Atlanta and definitely way more so than Nashville. This does have good effects though: Girls’ fashion sense tend to be on-point here. A surprisingly large amount of girls wear high heels. While white girls are the main girls driving this snobbishness, it definitely has a strong influence black, Hispanic, and Asian girls. While black girls in Atlanta are hotter, more stylish, and over twice as numerous as Dallas ones, Hispanic and Asian girls are noticeably higher quality than Atlanta. However, expect harsh blowouts, especially with white girls, due to its pretense.
Another caveat: A surprising of Hispanic girls are essentially darker white girls. The educated, middle class and above ones tend to have on-point style, and have that Miami/Euro vibe going on with them. Texas is indeed a 40% Hispanic state, but in Dallas, I didn’t see that many short, chubby/stocky Central American types that tend to be the majority of the Hispanics in Gwinnett County in Atlanta.
