Women protest when asked to stop wearing tight leggings at Catholic Mass

When women wear yoga pants and other provocative clothing in public, they're essentially lording their sexual power over any man who sees them. There is a very real aspect of taunting and humiliation taking place at a subconscious level: the provocatively-dressed woman knows she is exciting the sexual urges of the men around her, but feels protected from the consequences of that excitement by the laws and customs of society. She gets to enjoy the thrill of being seen and desired as a sexual being while being insulated from the sexuality of the men around her. In other words, she's get to have her cake and eat it, too.

Because male and female social/sexual power are complementary rather than identical, the equivalent for men would not be walking around in yoga pants or with their balls hanging out or any such ridiculousness. No, the male equivalent of the widespread female practice of wearing provocative clothing at inappropriate times is actually shocking to our sensibilities: the legalization/social acceptance of groping and fondling. Male social/sexual power is, at heart, rooted in our physical power. We are bigger and stronger than women and, because of this fact, can ultimately make them do what we want them to do. If men decided to start flaunting this power the way that women flaunt their sexual power with provocative clothing, then they would simply start groping every attractive woman they saw.

The fact that this sounds so offensive (rightfully, because it is - none of us would want our mothers or sisters groped by random men) serves to highlight how destructive the practice of women dressing provocatively in public is for society. Women who dress like this are doing the equivalent of fondling every man they see: they are shamelessly exerting their sexual power over strangers for their own selfish benefit.

I remember doing a solitary retreat in a monastery. Locked away. Food left at the end of a solitary path on the regular. Could go for a long time without even seeing another person.

Pretty awesome. So I was doing a lot of religious practice and I remember one morning going for a walk and seeing a middle aged woman get out of the car below me in the car park with a guy that had brought a delivery.

I was affronted. I was offended.

I can't logically explain why as she wasn't dressed that provocatively.
It wasn't even the tight leggings and coat that ended way above her bum.
It was the boots. Shiny black leather. Knee high with pointy ends to each foot and tassels going down the outside edge.

They were fuck me boots. (for what its worth she was also wearing an obvious push up wonderbra under her sweater.)

On an ordinairy day, on an ordinary street, it wouldn't have even crossed my mind that there was anything to see let alone worry about.

But having spent so much time in a religious setting amongst people who were also trying to practice their religion and wearing dowdy clothes that didn't draw any attention to themselves it was a real affront.

Here somebody had gone out of their way to communicate her sexual nature whilst going and walking around in a religious setting.

It was weird at that point in time that anyone would do that.

Later on that retreat I went further up into the mountains walking (regular activity) but got stuck behind a young couple for once. the girl was in yoga pants and her ass was on full display. Everything she was doing was to draw attention to herself, lots of shrieking, grabbing her boyfriend every 5 minutes, throwing her hips around as she walked for attention.

I don't think she did anything badly wrong, I wouldn't care ordinarily either but again it hit me that both these women were pushing something on the guys around them without stating or acknowledging that they were doing anything of the sort.

It annoyed me.

Without the setting of that monastery and religious practice none of that would have occurred to me.

It was like when a high level female manager who was skirting firing for her conduct came in from maternity leave to attend a meeting concerning her.
Brought her little infant in.. kid was screaming and bawling all meeting but she only whopped out her breast when the subject of her own project came up.
She just played chicken with everyone else in the room and all the soft male cuck managers caved, didn't know where to look and said nothing that they had planned to say.

Your mileage may vary but the monastery leggings and fuck me boots reminded me of what a Tibetan holy man said when his younger sister ripped into him for letting the family down by living a life of poverty and seclusion.

Why not get followers? Why not get fame?

"Listen to me sister Peta, young maiden,
          Consumed by the desires of this earthly life.

       First, the brightly painted little monastery, high above the village; the eloquent discourses of a young lama;

       the rites and rituals, divination and astrology;  the abbess, high priestess skilled in hypocrisy;
          , those who organize ritual feasts for sensual pleasure;  sweet chanting to deceive the female devotees;   provisions and treasure amassed by avarice;

        First, the arched neck of a great stallion;
          Second, the ornamented saddle, glittering with jewels;
          Third, the warrior brilliant in his armour;
          Fourth, the passion to subdue the enemy and protect the friend;
          These four things your elder brother could obtain, if he so wished.

          And your brother has abandoned them because the sun of
          Happiness has risen for him.

          Your sisterly affection distracts me.
          Your worldly talk disturbs my practice.
"

But Hey, fuck it .. wear your leggings or just a bikini for all I care. If anyone points out that you are ruining the setting just claim "Oprressiiionnnn!!" and wear more leggings and bikinis and vajazzles..

Women wearing leggings is akin to men wearing track pants. Each of them should only be worn in the gym.

Proverbs 13:24
Whoever spares the rod hates their children, but the one who loves their children is careful to discipline them.

If your daughter likes to show off her ass just whip it real hard. The pain will prevent her from wearing anything tight.

A whip costs only 10$ by the way.

Strange. There are dress codes at Catholic high schools and elementary schools. Why not at universities? School admins and priests should actually grow a pair and say: You can't celebrate mass or come to class like that. I guess people get a pass at higher learning institutions -- dollars speak louder than values.

For mass at least, there are standards, albeit informal. They used to be formal, actually - and spray paint paints absolutely shouldn't be allowed. Alas, wouldn't you know it, the rule for mantillas (head coverings for women) was removed from canon law in the 1970s.

This is something that fell gradually into disuse.

In the 1970s there was a judgment issued by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith in a document titled Inter Insigniores that basically stated that since chapel veils were not a matter of faith, it was no longer mandatory for women to wear them. In paragraph 4 it states:

"It must be noted that these ordinances, probably inspired by the customs of the period, concern scarcely more than disciplinary practices of minor importance, such as the obligation imposed upon women to wear a veil on their head (1 Cor. 11:2-16); such requirements no longer have a normative value."

You can read the whole document here.

Bear in mind that this ruling came from the same largely homosexual priesthood which went on to abuse thousands of young boys over the next few decades or ignore those in its ranks who did. Got to wonder about the current ecclesiastical leadership of ND Basilica - where were they around 2002?

These days a woman of any culture can't visit a mosque without covering up. They do so willingly at sites such as Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, regardless of their religious background.

Though there may be caricatures of feminism intertwined with Islam in the west at present, this is mere stupid flirtation by outliers and will not amount to anything - Islam will outlast feminism.

This is exactly why women in Latin American countries dress more provocatively - they expect men to behave according to Catholic tradition. Julius Faust wrote about this decades ago in a body language book.

If you wanted evidence to show just how shameless, self absorbed, and vulgar Western women are, this is it. Let me count the ways...

-Total disrespect for a sacred space. Christianity urges humility and modesty, especially among young women (for obvious reasons as it turns out). These girls have neither, and feel entitled to parade their near nude bodies around in the second most inappropriate context possible, the only one worse would be a funeral.

And yet said girls will usually have a few Instagram snaps of them in the Hagia Sofia, in which they're clothed neck to knee and wearing a veil. The shot will be artfully constructed and photographed as if she's contemplating existence, and hashtagged #SoPeaceful #Beautiful

Yoga pants really are the emblematic garment of the times for young women. Nothing embodies as well the current Eat Love Pray zeitgeist, with those garments carrying the imported materialistic consumer indian spirituality as a replacement for the religion of their parents. For most women who sport yoga pants, the closest they will come to spirituality is while they are strutting and stretching in a gym in a vaguely meditative mood, posing for a shot or projecting their sexuality onto others.

It also symbolizes the current aggressive young female sexuality, this is the closest women have ever come to flashing their pussies in public outside of the beach, with less than a millimeter of stretched lycra wrapped over their labia. It also embodies the sexual hypocrisy/duality and ambiguity, with the tights technically covering their entire body from the waist down while at the same time revealing everything.

Finally, it is also the pant equivalent of flip flops, a comfortable and very lazy option for outerwear, which is a symptom of women not bothering to put much effort towards a personal style carrying a modicum of elegant femininity, opting instead for these generic in-your-face lycra long johns. You have an aggressive projection of sexuality replacing the more traditionally feminine flirtatious option of a dress or skirt that most women don't even bother with today.

“Nothing is more useful than to look upon the world as it really is.”
