Dancing
Crossfit
Yoga and similar things
Running/XC skiing/snowshoeing club
Cooking classes

Basically, group/class activities where a big chunk of the group is women.

Otherwise, I certainly would not counsel you to avoid a hobby because women don't like it. If you're obviously not a loser, any woman worth being around will not care that you have a hobby they associate with losers. And you shouldn't be volunteering your life story anyway, so there's no reason for a girl to even know about most of what you do until she's known you for awhile.

Don't take up a hobby to attract chicks. It's utterly transparent and you are almost guaranteed to give off an attention seeking vibe that means everyone will instinctively pick up on what you're doing.

That said The #1 hobby that attracts women is anything music related. Even guys who are playing for tips in coffee shops tend to get some attention.

But some guys don't have much going on in their lives besides maybe their job, watching sport, going out for drinks every so often, etc. For guys like this who don't have many interesting things going on in their life and who need to just get out there and try new things, the sheer variety of potential hobbies out there can make it difficult to pick one to focus on. Not everyone has a strong internal passion to guide their choice of activity, or a strong enough sense of self to know what they are suited to. One way to narrow down your choices is to pick a hobby that has the additional benefit of being attractive to women - 'two birds with one stone'. If you have no idea how to be an interesting person with an enjoyable lifestyle AND you're also struggling with women it makes sense to pick a hobby that helps you in both areas. Ideally it becomes a genuine passion that you can enjoy irrespective of how much it affects your dating life.

I don't think including the game value of a hobby in your decision making is a bad thing. However, if you're choosing a hobby only to get girls then that is weak.

First, you'll never be good at it because you don't really like it. Second, and more importantly your entire frame is wrong because you're starting from a position of trying to appease other people vs adding value by doing something you genuinely like. Pick something you would like to do even if there was no pussy involved.

The hobby doesn't matter too much. The fact that you're willing to put the hobby above her and that you can completely dominate her in the hobby are why they find them attractive.

Teaching her one very basic part of the hobby (how to skateboard, play a chord, swim, throw a bowling ball, hammer a nail, dance, etc.) is also attractive. Again, it's a dominance thing.

Sounds like the inverse of what should be going on. She should be cooking for you and you should be blown away, but not showing it, by her cooking.

Cooking is a skill that wins over women and will only benefit you and her if you want a DINK life (something I abhor) but it's useful enough if you want to do that.

In all seriousness, I agree with those that say you shouldn't choose a hobby based on its attractiveness. Though some obviously stand out (lifting, playing guitar, shooting guns) compared to others (playing video games, collecting Yu Gi Oh cards etc.), if something brings you joy, go for it man. Don't let women be the reason you don't invest your time into it.
