So the police arrested the man who impregnated the woman in the coma.
As is usually the case with these sorts of the things, the media coverage is the real story here. In this case, they brushed the story under the carpet for obvious reasons: The alleged rapist was a minority.
But the media has actually gone one better in hiding the truth. They've also obscured the gender of the rapist. The guy worked as a nurse, so they're saying a "nurse" is responsible for getting this comatose woman pregnant as opposed to "male nurse."
They're trying to paint a picture of Florence Nightingale in everyone's head, as opposed to the one we all have of what rapist's generally look like (as per FBI stats).
When I first saw the headline, I assumed it was a female nurse (a typical assumption, since the profession is about 85 percent female). And I assumed maybe the female nurse in question purposely impregnated the comatose woman so she could have a baby by proxy.
Those assumptions were clearly wrong. Anyway, here is screen shot showing now the U.S. media is reporting this:

I get what you saying but, c'mon DOBA you're point is tenuous at best: The adjective "male" is obviously redundant in this scenario: Florence Nightengale can't get another women pregnant(unless she has turkey baster full of sperm). So it's understood/agreed upon that the rapist is a man.

Also important to note that the woman was not in a coma, but a vegetative state which are two different things.
So she would have probably been aware and conscious during the rape(s), just powerless to react or report anything.
