Hair falling out and stopped once you started taking the green clay?

yep, I'm 38 and my hair started to fall when I was 23 after a period of important stress. I took propecia between 1997 and 2003; my hair did not start to fall again after I stopped because (my take) I was experiencing a great long term relationship.

Then after a period of uge stress my hair started to fall again last summer and my intestines started to suffer from ulcerative colitis. I was having a very hard time to get a decent haircut because my hair was becoming thin very fast...

So last February I started to drink some green clay with psyllium to heal my intestines...not only did it help a lot to heal my intestines but I started to experience a very nice side effect as my hair regrowed and became thick again.

I started to notice the effects just after 3 weeks and now my hair is just great again...everyone is noticing it: that's really awesome

The conclusion of all this is that stress is damaging intestines very badly, and more and more research link the health of your intestines to the health of your hair (among many other things, like the brain, the skin or the liver for example)...
So to take care of your hair and skin you must take care of your intestines first: green clay is known to be a very effective healer of the intestine and I can tell...

If your intestines are already damaged (look at your hair to know this), eating junk food or food with gluten and using antibiotics will make your matter even worse...the proper diet is indicated here:

Much Respect Pacman.... I'm in the US. $23 euros just for shipping... Is all green clay pretty much the same? Cheaper option for the US. An alternative to the one you mentioned...

To put an end to all this 'cancer or no cancer?' talk, I present you with the greatest tool for identifying how 'harmful' a product is: http://www.ewg.org/skindeep/

Just search for any brand, product, or ingredient and it will tell you how 'harmful' a product is in the areas of Cancer, Developmental & reproductive toxicity, Allergies & immunotoxicity, etc. All the the ingredients are listed with the specific risks, how well researched the ingredient is, and a list of all the studies related to the harmful effects of the ingredient. Each product also conveniently has a link to its reviews on Amazon.

I found this while curiously browsing the no-shampoo thread on bb.com. That same night I went through all of my hygiene products and found that most were quite harmful. After switching them up with the best low-risk, yet highly-rated on amazon, products I could find, I noticed over the next couple months that my skin had far fewer breakouts, my hair looked much thicker and more flowing, my hands were not dried out anymore, there was less film on my tongue in the morning (this was before I switched toothpastes; weird? [Image: huh.gif]) and my lips got chapped much less frequently. I can say that trying to use the least harmful products has definitely helped my appearance and thus, my game. Reducing my risk of cancer and slowing down my aging through less skin-irritation are just positive spillover effects.

The hard part is finding these clean products in Canada; even the 'natural' health store's products have just as bad ingredients as the Walmart brands. Since most of Amazon.com's products have horrible shipping to Canada, I got most of my stuff from well.ca, ebay, and nutrition house.

What exactly did you switch out? I don't know if it's really necessary to do all that, but I want to hear your story in more detail...

We have discussed shaving with good Aloe Vera cream, washing our face with better products, soap that doesn't dry out your skin like a snake, hydrogen peroxide for bad breath, Burt's wax for chapped lips...what else is there? Natural bamboo q-tips to have your ears glistening for days?

It may not be 'necessary' to go as far as I did, but I am both surprised and grateful for the noticeable improvements upgrading everything has made.

As I hinted earlier, as an American, you could probably find even better and cheaper products through Amazon, so I would only use my choices as a starting point.

Here is what I switched using that site and Amazon reviews as a guide (not exact product name):

Lips:
Before: Blistex DCT 20spf
After: Green Beaver 15spf in morning, Burts Bees plain (not spf) when I need extra

AntiBacterial Hand Soap:
Before: Random Wallmart Brand + random moisturizer (soap would dry out hands)
After: CleanWell Spearmint Lime Hand Soap (great, uses anti-bac oil so no moisturizer needed)

Deodorant:
Before: Speedstick
After: huge crystal things (I hear roosh used this until he found BS)

Toothpaste:
Before: Colgate Total
After: Nature's Gate Natural Toothpaste (though I might just switch to BS when I am done with it, since that's all it really is, and BS worked great when I tried it. Cheaper too)

Facial Cleanser:
Before: Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser
After: Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser (it wasn't ranked that poorly, and it works well)

Facial Moisturizer with Sunscreen:
Before: Neutrogena 30spf moisturizer (has parabans, which produce estrogenic activity)
After: Devita Solar Protective Moisturizer SPF 30+

Body Wash:
Before: Dove Body wash, also I exfoliated with a poof every other day
After: Just water, also I exfoliate with a poof every other day (confirmed no smell, just make sure to exfoliate. Though it might be different for you.)

Hair:
Before: every other day Dove Moisturizing Shampoo, every day Dove Moisturizing Conditioner, once a week Nizoral (I have psoriasis, which is basically like occasional heavy dandruff outbreaks), and Erratic ICE Clay styling product once a day (I have a hard to work with triple-crown)

After: Most safe natural shampoos on that site were at best $1/oz, so I went all the way with a gradual transition to no-poo. First I started with the baking soda and ACV combo (google it for instructions, this might be good enough for some of you) twice weekly with some Psoriasin once a week. After 8 weeks of oily (but easily styled) hair and heavy dandruff outbreaks, I finally got to where I just massage a tiny bit of Psoriasin into my scalp once a week, and every day just do the no-poo regime of pulling/massaging the sebum (natural oil) on my scalp through my hair in the shower (sorta like clawing it through my hair, just google no shampoo for instructions).

Hair is now at worst only slightly oilier that it was before, but it now has a nice shine, is thicker/fuller and more flowing, is easy as hell to style (even better than product), has less noticeable flaking than before, and still does not smell (confirmed). If you can stand the 4-8 week oily breaking in period, I hear that most (not all) people will have better results going no-poo than with shampoo. I hear it was the way humans washed their hair from the dawn of time until the 70's when shampoo was successfully marketed as a way to separate oneself from the dirty/smelly hippy culture (who did not shower period).

That is my regime until I can find some equally-effective alternatives with cheaper pricing/shipping.

Ferro can you speak more on the face moisturizer? We discussed this on page 4 (see below quote) and I actually asked a girl who looks young for her age and she recommended the Neutrogena. I'm about to make a Shower/Clean Body thread so you can post in there also player.

bought some to make my babyface stay baby forever...can already notice a difference in the vibrancy of my skin.
Not sure what the difference is but I asked a female family member who looks very young for her age which one to go with. She recommended this

Hey players...should you apply these creams to your face after shaving, daily when you get out of the shower, or when and how often? You should put it on your face before going out in the sun all day, right? I see the SPF in them.

I listed that I previously used the Neutrogena 30spf facial moisturizer prior to switching to the Devita 30spf+ facial moisturizer. Years ago I settled on the Neutrogena through trial and error and research, and it made a nice difference in my skin quality (not so dry after cleansing, which helped my complexion as I was not touching it as much. More vibrant too.) with sun protection to boot.

Though after researching the hazardous ingredients I found out that the Neutrogena (and many other sunscreen-related products) contained parabens, chemicals that elicit "Biochemical or cellular level changes" similar to estrogen. A quick google of "parabens estrogen" will link to many studies showing negative effects ranging from premature aging to "According to live-naturally.co.uk, findings from several studies have reported low sperm counts as well as decreased levels of testosterone in men, and it was concluded that these results were related to the absorption of parabens in commercial products." So basically fuck that.

Then I found Devita which has great ratings on Amazon. Amazon does not ship it to Canada, but I found it on ebay for a price slightly better than what I paid for Neutrogena. After using it for a few months I can say that I haven't noticed any differences in effectiveness between it and the Neutrogena (which was the best facial moisturizer I tried), though I have more peace of mind knowing that it is much safer and that I will not gradually become more feminine at a "cellular level." Question - is that Devita product the same type of product as the Neutrogena ones I put up? I just want something to put on my face when I'm out in the sun all day to prevent wrinkles/sunburn and also to put on after shaving to relax it.

One thing you could add houston is: Feel young. no matter how old you are.

Not in a physical sense, but in the mind. Think about some elders in your life that seem unhappy with their age. It is good for them to reminisce on their younger years. But they are still alive.

Basically what I'm saying is: You need to have a confident feeling about yourself no matter how old you are. It's all about a state of mind.

"Hey girl, you're cute but I'm too old for you. 20 years ago you'd be my gf" vs "Hey I can fuck you better than those fratboys".

What mentality do you want as you age? If you begin to feel young now, you def wont be the first one.

Nope.

Use a good moisturizer at night time. There are a ton of vitamins, anti-oxidants, and supplements you can take that are good for your skin. Some of the best include: coq10, vitamin a, c, e, alpha lipoic acid, msm, and fish oil (omega 3s). You can find all of these in pill form online or at your local natural food store.

I'd also include, not shaving your face excessively, use an electric beard trimmer, also if you do shave with a straight razor, change out your blades frequently, at least every other use.

Also, cut back on drinking alcohol as it will age you, same with cigarettes, I know G-manifesto loves them, but they are bad for you skin and stain your teeth brown. Also cut out excessive salt from your diet, as it dries out your skin, drink lots' of water.

I take the following every day in supplement pill form: a one-daily multi-vitamin, as well as vitamins a, c, d, & e, coq10, wild alaskan salmon oil, pro-biotic, msm, alpha lipoic acid, collagen, green tea extract, and a multi-antioxidant blend.

Is it necessary? No, but I feel better than I ever have before taking those supplements, some I feel are more important than others, I've done a shit ton of research so I have found the most important things for skin health. I have really nice skin, but I also moisturize, as well as use toner, and occasionally masks.

Really the best supplements to take for skin can be condensed down to collagen, coq10, fish oil, vitamin c & e, as well as hyaluronic acid.

Also foods to eat more of for good skin are anything with omega-3s, as well as leafy greens, avocado, and tomatoes, fresh fruits are always good too.

Great tips, Pacman. Thanks a lot. You sure this product on Amazon won't work just as well? It's seems like it is basically green clay powder too (with good reviews).

Also, can you describe more in detail of how you go about drinking this and what kind of psyllium product you are going for?
Additionally, are you using the powder as a mask?
