The trailers for these shows are disgusting. Completely illustrates a main point that a lot of the bloggers in this forum are trying to teach. Its like someone went ahead and took everything wrong with the culture and put it into one prime time television show people will be able to connect to because their lives are just as sad/pathetic. Growing up we never had cable, and Married With Children was one of the only shows on tv that my mom didn't want me watching, I remember having to keep the volume down and change the channel when she walked in.

The funny thing is, the actor, Ed O'Neill, is now on one of the most repulsive shows on TV now, Modern Family. Every time I see this show, a total of twice, I've been thoroughly disgusted. You have a domineering mother, a father harangued and abused by his wife and children, two flaming homosexuals raising a child... O'Neill's character is the only respectable one on the show. I'm surprised how popular this show is, how even cool guys like it. I honestly feel like an alien in my own country when I see what's popular.

And O'Neill partied hard and played football in college, and has trained in Brazilian jiu-jitsu for almost 20 years now --> alpha.
