The truth about the Philippines

We had had an American teacher whose wife back-stabbed him and took their kid. He planned on going back to the Philippines from Vietnam to take his kid back to America.

So this American man had (still has, still married aren't they?) a Filipina wife who left him to go back to her native Philippines with their child? She's back to the Phils as a single mother [Image: confused.gif], and presumably is not from a rich family (as she married a transient foreign teacher)?

Unless there is something missing in the picture (violence, alcohol, hidden Korean sponsor [Image: dodgy.gif] ), I'd say that within three months the wife will beg American hubby for money and help. The American teacher just has to relax and wait, his wife will contact him back soon enough. She'll phone him in tears when her Korean new sponsor goes back to Seoul (never to be heard of again), which unavoidably will happen within three months.

By the way, thinking of Eurasian babies and how they are loved in the Philippines [Image: banana.gif] , do you know that the most famous female character of Philippines literature, is -no surprise here- a Eurasian (mestiza) woman: Maria (Clara Clear-skinned), https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mar%C3%ADa_Clara

Noli Me tangere, but still you might?

Just in case you were wondering about Rizal Avenue, it's named after a great Filipino author, executed for his writings:

By the way, Rizal himself had game, as he's rumored to have had several (White) female lovers in Europe, notably in Belgium.

The truth about the Philippines

On Filipinas generally, I have had a bit of experience with crazy behaviour. If you grow up in poverty, are raised in part by grandparent or aunt, move around, and your parents are generally stressed about money it would seem to create a greater likelihood of mental issues. In fact there is a well known propensity for SE Asians to run Amok, which is an Indonesian word and refers when someone goes totally crazy for a short period. Then you have the sleep paralysis phenomenen, SADS, see here:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sudden_arr...h_syndrome

One of my girls claimed she actually had this, a nightmare while you feel you are awake. I thought what the hell, and then researched and saw it was a real thing. Filipinos in particular seem to be susceptible to it.

All that smiling and lying means you have to surpress a lot of emotions which is not good, Asians generally tend to do this.

I really wonder if Filipinas have a tendency for strange behaviour, I have seen it a few times first hand. Would love to hear from someone who had a LTR with a Filipina, I saw Duke Main had this issue as well.

@Jefferson, It has all the frustrations most Asian countries have, and then some. Plus it’s not that cheap to live here. Regardless of what many will claim. ($300/month electricity, oof.)

That's interesting, US$300 for electricity seems a bit high. Don't you find that rent and food are extremely cheap though? Taxis, my God when I compare the price of taxis to where I am, it's extremely cheap. What struck me is the hotels are way overpriced.

Just wanted to randomly add to this. I've been in the Philippines twice, and in my opinion it's an awful place, apart from some of the pristine areas that you find in places like Palawan, Siargiao etc.
Cebu City is a really polluted, ugly place and even the beaches are not that great (you need to go to the tiny islands off the north coast for that).

And the girls, if I can generalise, are genuinely inferior to say, in Thailand. I don't want to be harsh, but that's my observation. Definitely not a place to go looking for women, generally speaking. Definitely some exceptions to the average though! The outliers can be super nice.

I actually loved Cebu. I took a taxi and explored the entire island up and down. Saw Ronda and some of the nice villages. Everyone knows the beaches in Cebu aren't all that, which is why I went to Bantayan instead. Fantastic beaches, and lovely laid back ambience.

The malls in Cebu whilst gigantic and not as artful as SG or BK but were still good to kill time. The Maya restaurant in Cebu is the best Mexican I ever went to. I find Cebu one of the more civilised and developed places in Philippines. I am actually thinking of moving there.

Agree about the girls though, I did not see any great looking girls in Cebu, none at all. I was a bit surprised. But I didn't hit the night life properly.

I think a lot of these issues can be avoided by not marrying a girl half your age that you met in a bar in Angeles City.

True, but on the other hand, massive issues can be avoided by not marrying a woman your age (perish the thought) that you met in Los Angeles CA or anywhere in the feminist West.

If I were presented a choice between marrying a Filipina woman half my age [Image: banana.gif] that I'd met in a bar on Burgos street [Image: undecided.gif] , or marrying a woman my age (perish the fucking thought) that I'd met in a fancy company office in Paris or London, I'd probably go for the young bar chick. The lesser of two evils. (I'd ask for hiv test though. Actually, from both bitches)

HIV test and absolute protection of your assets from any possible court order. With those things in hand, who gives a fuck? YOLO.

Seeing 8s in Cebu is a mind fuck. I wonder what it's like seeing an 8 in the province. They probably built her a shrine in her village.

The bipolar/psychotic episodes with my ex only lasted a few months, starting when she first arrived in the US. Over time the extremes gradually faded and she was mostly a delightful person other than creeping americanization.

Thanks Duke. Was that the first time you spent a longer period of time with her?

I actually had a similar experience. This girl apart from the sleep paralysis claim would be delightful for 4 to 6 days and then start fights for no reason. She would either be totally lovely or a completely annoying crazy person.

On the other hand, I live in Thailand and find the Filipino women much prettier.
Banged loads of 8s and 9s, lived with a 5 for a while (who was really nice).
But the Flippers weren't all that convincing in bed (apart from the 5).
They always gave me the impression they would rather be elsewhere.

In Thailand, the women made me feel like a god, very convincing.

But none of them was to be trusted for a second, and they were all banging other guys when out of sight.

These kids might have other opinions.

Maybe when they grow up they can be an entertainer or high rate hooker if they're female and look good but when they're kids and teenagers they'll be bullied for looking different, having no father, out of jealousy etc. South East Asians are generally petty and jealous people.

Chances are the hookers tried to baby trap their john / boyfriend or he didn't have an income and left.

I also find Filipinas prettier on average. The Thais can have square jaw features and don't have as many curves.

Funny enough in bed, once I taught what I liked, as some Filipinas do not have a lot of experience, I actually found a very good intent to please. No limits almost.

Prior to bringing her to the US I had lived with her in Manila for 5 months and she was amazing every single day. It was as if a switch was flipped when we crossed the international date line.

Welcome to Manila, yes it would be nice if someone could update on the nightlife actually. Try asking this in the main Philippines thread, this thread is exclusively for Philippines bashing so your question is off topic </mildsarcasm>.

I'm currently in Davao, it's my first time back in the country in a few years and holy shit there are way more fatties than I expected! It may not be a statistically reliable sample but I was sitting near the entrance of a large shopping mall and I felt like I was home in the USA as I watched what went waddling by.

In Manila in 2004 I remember seeing an obese toddler and noting what an anomaly he was. He has a lot more company now. Very sad.

There are still a lot more slender women here than the US, but the trend is not favorable. When Duterte is done killing all the drug dealers he should start in on McDonalds and KFC executives.

It's true. It's not at USA levels, but it's at the point where there's a lot of wasted talent.

On Filipino laziness: I've tried hiring some on Upwork for various projects I'm working on. I sent out job offers to a lot of folks. Almost all of them rejected my offer. Maybe one accepted and then flaked on me when I got down to discussing details; never heard from her again.

I'm not sure if it's due to their sheer laziness or if they feel they're too proud now and make enough money through their call centre jobs and other freelance work, but it is pretty hilarious nonetheless.

Was it full time work at above average pay? Mini jobs for peanuts / minimum hourly isn't going to get much attention even from 3rd world people that have a halfway decent work ethic.

The Upwork fees are also ridiculous for small projects. (20% for the first $500 anyone?)

I have worked with lots of Filipinos from Upwork working for very little money ($500 a month) that all had good work ethics for what it's worth.
