My flatmate is acting strange

This first started 3 days ago. I have been living with my flatmate for 3 weeks and I know him since 1 year, he is a good friend, a wingman and we get along well. He is a normal guy as far as I am concerned.

But 3 days ago he puts on his headphones, goes to the kitchen for hours and all I hear is chanting, almost like voodoo chants. I disregard it thinking he is singing along and it just sounds like that. However, he’s been doing it every day in his sleep and it creeps me out, he keeps repeating lyrics of songs in a demonic way and in the kitchen i can hear him moving around sporadically.

What the hell is up with my friend? I don’t know how to ask him, maybe he has a mental illness I don’t know about?

Ask him if there's anything troubling him at the moment. Who knows what kinds of problems your friend had encountered recently.

I hope your friend doesn't reach this stage:

If that happens, you'll probably want your friend to seek professional help.

You should have a look through this thread:
My friend thinks he is a glitch

It's a similar situation, in which OP raised some concerns for his friend's wellbeing.

The most implausible part of that video is Pope Francis fighting Satan instead of blowing him.

Yeah, I agree with that too. I have a feeling they're plotting something. The things that Francis has been doing recently shouldn't go unnoticed.

What`s his diet like? Pizza, Pasta, coffee, wine etc? Just guessing since you`re in Italy[Image: smile.gif] Maybe the dietary changes is causing the problems? If so, try going on a strict Paleo/keto diet for a 30 day period. And eliminate all stimulants like coffee, dark chocolate, even teas. If you contact the psychology quacks, his life will be ruined. (If it`s really connected to neurological/mental issues at all.) Is he smoking weed or anything similar though? That could also explain it.

We will stomp to the top with the wind in our teeth.

This is not what I expected. I expected this to be a standard "my flatmate does completely normal thing that I find boring or that I don't like" but this is much better.

I'd straight up go in there while he's chanting and ask if he called your name. Then respond to whatever reaction you get and quiz him about what he's up to.

For all you know, he could just be trolling you for lols.

Could be some sort of mental illness such as schizophrenia, as nomadbrah already suggested.

Try to have a conversation with him and see if anything seems off. Is he having hallucinations or hearing voices? How old is the roommate and how long have you known him? Maybe it is a good idea to talk to his parents.

But what's more important is, did your room mate troll you or get weird again? And what did you do?

Try copying him, and if he asks you what you're doing then say you've heard this is the new form of meditation, and if he's tried it. Either :

- He says he has tried it, and then you can directly ask him why -> Determine whether you should stay or run
- He says he hasn't tried it, and then you know he's either a liar, sleepwalking, delusional, etc. -> Red flag, probably should run

It (diet changes) can actually deal with the real underlying cause of these issues, unlike the religious quackery that is psychology. There are no mental disorders, these are neurological problems. And they stem from neuroendocrine disruption/autoimmune issues, which in turn are caused by diet mainly, and not genetics. (Although some people are genetically susceptible like with all disease. We have different genetics and ancestral heritage after all. Doesn`t mean genetics is the cause!)

I assume you where joking there, I hope so at least! But psychology is a part of the Marxist-Feminist-Globalist-Equality agenda to the greatest extent. And it`s on of the greatest crimes against humanity ever, and continues unabated. As a biologist I`ve dealt with these people, and it still makes me sick to think about their murder of people who need real guidance. in other words, evolutionary based, real medicine. You will also find that basically everyone in this field is a rabid leftist and Feminist. Tens of millions of people have already been destroyed by these indoctrinated fools, mostly to make money for big food, big pharma and big Gov. It really makes me beyond pissed that it just continues like this.

We will stomp to the top with the wind in our teeth.

I don't care how long or how well I know a person. When they start behaving out of the norm, much less suddenly, and topping it off with stuff like this:

Quote:Quote:

he puts on his headphones, goes to the kitchen for hours

Quote:Quote:

Quote:Quote:

doing it every day in his sleep

Quote:Quote:

That's cause for alarm and an indication to keep your guard up really high. Does he take any meds? Has he been seeing any new chick(s) who seem strange or may be into that new age/wicca/occult stuff? Has his diet changed? Has he brought in any new items (objects or books) into the apartment? These are all things you should consider.

My advice in the meantime, be ultra vigilent and observant, be ready to defend yourself, let someone you trust know what's going on just in case, and keep your bedroom door locked when asleep. If things get worse, just get out of there.

Depends on your relationship. As for myself, I would probably just tell him what you have outlined in your post about your observations and ask him what's happening. Then gauge his answer and reactions in order to figure out what's going on.
