In "meat market" type clubs eg student clubs he might get away with poor game. But there's likely to come a point where he finds he's struggling. Thats especially true if he has high minimum standards. High appearance guys often have poor game, even tho some might think looks will increase game ability.

+1 although I have seen many handsome guys in the anglosphere walking around with below average women. Your expectations can vary based on education, experience outside your own country, social circle etc.

I think the question is really about how guys conduct verbal game when they already have had clear attraction from a women. The pattern that some might experience is that once they start running material like jokes, reducing her value, push-pull techniques etc., the interaction just fizzles out. Its like she is no longer happy to talk to you or she becomes nervous and freezes. Its almost as if game is making her feel uncomfortable. Even light teasing can make her freeze up and walk away when minutes ago she was giving you eye contact for 2 full seconds and then somehow found herself 2 feet from you minutes later.

Being a good looking guy and with aloof/asshole game I've had moderate success.

Girls usually think I'm a player when I approach them so I'm automatically behind the eight ball. I'm naturally aloof and I don't smile a lot so girls automatically put me in that category. Takes me a bit longer to warm them up and honestly it can be exhausting at times.

Yes a girl may be automatically attracted to you off the bat, but that also opens the gates for her hamster to conjure up reasons why she should be cautious.
