I don't think this website is a good idea if you want to introduce somebody to psychedelics.

It looks creepy to me, especially the art gallery section with the chicks who has a bunch of arms around her waist; that looks weird.

oh, that woman is Kali! Don't mind her, she just likes having sex with men and then cutting them to pieces... yeah, I know, a bit creepy and weird, but some Goddesses are a bit eccentric!

But not to worry, DMT is light and fluffy all the way Jose!, Smoke that gear, and you'll be sure to see white bunny rabbits, fluffy clouds galore and the craziest hentai you will ever see in your life!

That is Kali, the Hindu Godess of of death. Not sure why would be placed on a website dedicated to DMT and psychadelics?

Most likely because her appearence was one of the "visions" attained by using psychedelics or by deep levels of meditation.

Kali was the goddess worshiped by Ramakrishna, one of India's most important saints. The meditation states he achieved worshiping her goes way beyond any drug.

I just watched the movie documentary about DMT on Netflix, wasn't that good. Had alot of people using alot of big words.. but it did have account from people who did the drug. It doesnt sound anything like the Acid or XTC trips I have had.

I got some anxiety going on in my life at the moment, once its gone im gonna try shrooms. I get sketched out just smoking pot lately :/

I just got done watching the movie as well and was also disappointed. Expected more science to be presented. It was worth a watch, and I still find DMT fascinating, but the movie didn't quite do it for me.

As for shrooms, everyone seems to be saying not to take them when you're having a lot of anxiety in your life. Anyone feel differently?

I personally have been going through a lot of shit trying to figure out where I want to be and what I want to be doing with my life. In a lot of ways, I feel I know exactly what to do next, at least, but still don't do it.

In some ways, I feel like a trip would be a good way to get another perspective and give myself a chance to "feel" how much things need to change rather than just think about them. Make sense?

I'm not saying I think halluconigenics would solve my problems, but I do think a trip could be a good chance to step further into them and sort it out. I did mushrooms quite a few times in the past and in almost all cases it was an immensely illuminating experience for me. In almost all cases I came back from it with a new perspective on life and a clear idea of how to move forward.

I did have a couple bad trips as well - the last two times I did them, which was probably about 8 years ago for the last. It probably bears mentioning that I was also drinking alcohol when I took them during my two bad trips. I'd imagine that's not the best idea...

I think a mushroom trip could be good for a person who is at a crossroads in their lives, when they are trying to figure things out so to speak, this could be a person with anxiety, worries, stress, etc. If there is anyone who shouldn't be doing them, it's someone maybe going through extreme depression, having suicidal thoughts, or violent anger problems.

The key is to go somewhere tranquil like the redwood forest or the lost coast (esp. crucial spot) on a nice day, and get away from everything so you can be by yourself and get deep into your own head, without any distractions.

A trip can really bring about some clarity to what a person is doing in their life and the path that they are on. Could be great for introspection, tapping into your sub-concious/unconcious mind, and going off your gut instincts. Sometimes we second guess ourselves, but on shrooms your true thoughts and self are normally revealed. Might be good for some perspective on things.

As great of a time as I've had on mushrooms, I'm pretty maxed out on them. At some point I want to eat some legitimate mature peyote buttons, which might be a challenge, but could make for an epic Mexico high desert peyote adventure. Also, something on my "bucket list", that I know will be much easier to experience, is an Ayahuasca ceremony, most likely in Peru whenever I make a trip down there. It could be a potentially life changing experience and who knows how I might grow as a person from it, but I think I am up for the exploration of the unknown.

I am from Mexico and already done that, and yes it was one of the most memorable experiences, i recommend that you go to Real de Catorce town, then head to the desert in horse (they rent one for a day at about $40), be careful though about how you cut the peyote as this most not be cut from the root and be warned that they taste horrible (i threw up some of them, but the effect doesn't change).

I also have visited the town of Huautla in the south, this is the place where some of the first psychedelic mushrooms were discovered, beautiful place also.

I was stuck in a basement, while in college, the last time I took shrooms. I just couldn't get a handle on the stairs and stayed in the basement for what felt like hours. For some reason, those stairs were menacing and I sat their staring at them stuck.

I wouldn't worry too much about your mental state when taking mushrooms, in fact, if you're bummed out they will put you in a much better mood and it only lasts 4 to 8 hours. Part of the thrill is the unexpected. They're not going to warp your mind permanently or anything like that.

LSD is another matter entirely. With mushrooms you still have a sense of yourself and a lot of control, with LSD your personality can be totally subjugated for 12 to 18 hours or more and you need to be prepared for that. If you even have one little doubt about taking LSD do not take it until you are 100% ready.

This is something I'd like to do at some point in my life as well. I don't think I'm ready for it at the moment, but someday.

It would be important for me to do it the old school way in an Ayahuasca ceremony too. These guys know what they're doing, having passed it down for a long time, and correct me if I'm wrong but don't they stretch out the high in a milder state for a long time, as opposed to the Western DMT that slams you into another reality for 15 minutes and then it's done?

Out of curiousity, has it become a bit of a tourist attraction down there? If so, has that changed the experience?

I'm no expert but I would highly recommend having someone with you that really knows what they're doing if you do DMT. I'd also really question the purity of anything I got on the streets. Maybe I'm just too cautious, but I'd want to do it while my safety was in the hands of a doctor, or even better, a shaman.

@Beyond Borders: I've tried DMT a couple of times already (and I've been alone while doing it), so I'm not overly concerned about my safety while I'm doing it. As for quality, fairly sure the guy that told me about it had some of the stuff the other dude is selling, but I'll have to check on that.

http://news.yahoo.com/first-magic-mushro...05511.html

"The world's first clinical trial designed to explore using a hallucinogen from magic mushrooms to treat people with depression has stalled because of British and European rules on the use of illegal drugs in research.

David Nutt, president of the British Neuroscience Association and professor of neuropsychopharmacology at Imperial College London, said he had been granted an ethical green light and funding for the trial, but regulations were blocking it.

"We live in a world of insanity in terms of regulating drugs," he told a neuroscience conference in London on Sunday."

mushrooms, you know, those things that just grow all by themselves in nature, are classified as Schedule 1 narcotics in the UK (and the US) right up there with other dangerous, naturally occurring drugs like cocaine and heroin... er, well, anyway... because of this classification he can't do the experiments he's been granted almost a million dollars to conduct.

This guys previous experiments have shown that mushrooms shut down the part of the brain that works on depressed people.

God (or whoever) put that shit on the planet for us to use, but people who want to tell you what you can and cannot do because they are so much smarter than you and I believe it's in our best interest to "outlaw" nature. Oh, and it's a guarantee that the people who outlawed and are against mushrooms HAVE NO EXPERIENCE WHATSOEVER WITH THEM!

So instead of helping people with something that grows in the woods people are used like guinea pigs by pharmaceutical companies that usually make people crazier (and turn them into killing machines i.e. Aurora,Colorado and Newtown, CT). And then they cover it all up.

First time I did shrooms was at my sophomore homecoming in high school.

My boy got an eighth and we split them half and half in the bathroom.

It was intense as fuck. I could only stay on the dance floor. When I went into the cafeteria where the refreshments were it would turn into the most depressing funeral type setting.

Had fun watching kids bug out with glow sticks though.

It got really weird as the night went on. The Dj comes on the mic and is like, "last dance y'all everybody grab that special someone."

I get a tap on my shoulder and turn around. It's my boys girlfriend! She's like, "wanna dance?"

I'm bugged out thinking this is the mushrooms fucking with me but it wasn't.

I respond, "what the fuck, where's erick?"

She goes, "I don't like erick I like you."

And grabs me and starts slow dancing with me.

I'm like, "what the fuckkkkkkkk is going on?!!!"
Haha

I look and see erick pacing the dance floor searching for his girl.

I push her away. Couldn't deal with it.

Left and smoked some bowl hits with my boys in the parking lot and walked down into town to a party.
